Kenji and Sousuke are twin brothers who both experience the dark hour, although Kenji is the only one with a persona.Which is a shame, because Kenji is a crybaby unfit to fight shadows while Sousuke is much calmer and braver than him. Sousuke is very responsible because he has been looking after his brother their entire lives because Kenji is pretty hopeless on his own, however Kenji has come to rely on him less lately. This is not because he has become more independent, but because Kenji started dating Hikaru and now depends on him instead. Kenji is madly in love with his boyfriend and is very romantic, and takes every chance he gets to let Hikaru know how he feels about him.

Forty years ago Furaha changed his named from Hiyam Morcos after marrying the love of his life, Furea Justus. He originally lived with his older brother, Hiyaro, in the main city after their parents died and he was watched over by his brother all his life until he married Furea. They happily lived together in the main city in the wealthy district until they adopted their son and moved to a tropical island in the south.
One night the couple was secretly approached by the previous Head Executioner with the newborn prince, Belissiah Black, as she could not bring herself to harm the royal baby. She begged them to raise the prince as their own son because she knew they would be kind parents to him, as Furea's father was an acquaintance of hers and he always spoke highly of his daughter. The two of them agreed to adopt the child and Belissiah was renamed to Furei Justus. The following week they moved to the south and have lived there for the past 35 years. When Furei decided to go on an adventure five years ago, Furaha and Furea gave him a bird named Fury as a gift.

Aurelia was born in The Under and at birth she was separated from her twin sister Aurura. Her mother took Aurura while her father raised Aurelia, and she grew up never knowing either of them. She is infamous in the Under as a gambler who cheats people out of their money and she has a reputation for being intimidating, as she will not hesitate to stab people with her knives.
She is Seraphion's current girlfriend and they have been in a relationship for the past 38 years. They live together but both of them are very independent people whorarely go home as Seraphion is busy with his rebellion and Aurelia is busy making money. She has one son with him named Angelic and Aurelia is mother of the year. She has always had trouble relating to him because their personalities are so different. Something she thinks is fun is something that scares Angelic, like her love of sharp objects, so any attempt to bond is disastrous. While he was growing up she usually forced Angiel to watch him while she went off to go gamble and rarely spent quality time with him, mostly because Angelic was too afraid of the idea. In fact, the only motherly thing she did that did not frighten her son was when she sang him lullabies. She did this to calm him down as a child whenever he was scared or she just wanted him to sleep, so when Angelic was older he sang whenever he wanted to feel secure or happy. So after he ran away from the Under, she was caught off guard when she heard that her son was now famous Above, but she was not too surprised that it was for his singing.
The mother of Angiel Apollos, Abigail was the best friend and ex-lover of Seraphion. She was born into a middle class family, but because she was illegitimate, her family disowned her and left her to die in the poor district when the truth was found out. Queen Bellarose had made life difficult for her family and they threw her out of the house because it would be one less person to take care of. On the streets she met a wizard named Seraphion who had snuck out from The Under, and taking pity on her, he invited Abigail to come live with him in The Under. She didn't want to go there, but she had nowhere else to go, and reluctantly went with him. He took care of her and even after the tyrant queen had been dethroned, Abigail did not return to her family, and lived with him for a long time. They became good friends and practically acted married, but neither of them instigated an actual relationship, since they had very conflicting personalities and views. Seraphion kept talking about how he wanted to start a rebellion but Abigail just wanted peace, but Seraphion claimed that Wiz would never be peaceful with another tyrant ruling the throne and that she should not just ignore it. She almost considered moving out of their house a few times, but she never went through with her threats, and the persuasive Seraphion always convinced her to stay with him.
Abigail and Seraphion eventually decided to actually try dating since they had been living together for so long, which resulted in their son Angiel a few months later. They tried to act like a proper family and for the first few years things were fine, but when Seraphion actually started actively working on a rebellion she adamantly opposed, she wanted nothing to do with it. She ended their relationship and even though Seraphion did not take it very well, he still gave her a surprise: a house in the main city. He pulled a lot of strings and fought more battles in the colosseum in order to purchase a house for them to live in, so that Angiel could grow up away from The Under. But Seraphion gave her the key and said he would remain living in their house in The Under while he insisted they move to the surface, even if it was in the poor district. Abigail hesitantly accepted his gift and she moved into the house, mostly for Angiel's sake. She was never banished from the city and nobody knew she lived in The Under for some time, so she had little trouble residing in the house. Abigail raised her son on her own, with the occasional visit from Seraphion even though their relationship had been reduced to an awkward friendship, and she was happy to live under the sun again. Unfortunately, twenty five years later, Abigail was attacked by wizards and she did not survive. Angiel then sold the house they had grown up together in and moved down to The Under with Seraphion to join the rebellion, entering the life she had tried to avoid for him.
Edel was the sole heiress of an upper class family and while her family did not have as large of a fortune as the nobility like the Mancini’s and Abernathy’s, she still was rich because her ancestor was one of Fai the Conqueror’s soldiers and after he became king, all of the soldiers were awarded a large fortune as thanks.
Her parents had her late and consequently died of old age when Edel was only 36. Having no concept of how to handle her money, Edel did whatever she wanted, attending parties and shows and gambling at the casinos. It was at a party where she saw Valroya Mancini, who was attracting quite a bit of attention and completely enjoying it. She was not interested in him, but a friend of hers introduced her to him anyways and even though she did not really like his personality, she still thought he was attractive and ended up going home with him. They spent the night together and when Edel woke up in Valroya’s house, she left while he was still asleep because she was embarrassed and ashamed of her actions.
A few months later she realized she was pregnant and since Valroya was the only person she had been intimate with, she knew it was his. She tracked him down and informed him of the child, but she assured him that she was fully committed to raising it herself and that he was not needed if he did not want to help her. She didn’t like him very much and wanted little to do with him, and had planned on naming her child after her family.
Unfortunately, Edel was hurt in an unfortunate accident and she used the last of her magic to keep the baby alive in time to get to a healer. The healer performed an emergency operation to remove the child but Edel did not survive and died before ever seeing her son. The healer knew her name was Edel Gwrtheyrn so he checked the Wizard Council’s records and saw that Edel had listed Valroya Mancini as the father when she registered for the child taxes. Valroya was informed of his son’s situation, as well as Valiant since he was the head of the family, and when the baby was well enough to leave the hospital he was placed in the custody of the Mancini family and named Valiance Mancini.
Raava traveled to the capital in order to find a job so she could send money to her family almost thirty years ago. She found various odd jobs over the years like being a maid for random nobles, cleaning the streets, a store clerk, or washing dishes. One of those jobs, a waitress at DirkJakes, is where she met Valdeimos Mancini twenty years ago.
At first he was charming and friendly towards her, just how he was with everyone, but after a few weeks of working with him Raava could see right through him. He was truly cold and emotionally distant and enjoyed toying with people's feelings, including hers. Raava confronted him about it and Valdeimos dropped his sweet act around her, congratulating her on her discovery and never pretended to be nice to her again unless he was in public. She began to hate him, and she was sure Valdeimos hated her too for figuring him out. They bantered with each other when they ended up alone together but acted civil when around people. At some point they started to view this behavior as fun, Valdeimos especially because she was the only one who knew the true him. Then one day, she found out that Valdeimos' brother recently died, despite him not showing any feelings about it whatsoever. She managed to convince him it was okay to grieve and after awhile, he ended up crying on her shoulder over Valor's death.
After Valdeimos started opened up to her, Raava noticed he started looking at her differently when he thought she wasn't paying attention. While he acted mostly the same, she could tell there were subtle differences in how he treated her, such as more sincere smiles and more playful teasing. The two of them became much closer as the months passed and started unofficially dating. They never talked about their relationship, never mentioned it to other people, and didn't call each other lovers but they pretty much acted like it despite their denial. They got along well for about a year, but they started to get into fights from petty arguments to serious issues. Raava really despised that Valdeimos did not want to truly to commit to her, to tell his family about her, even admit that he was her boyfriend. She felt he was ashamed to have feelings for a poor wizard peasant and after a huge fight about it, she quit her job at the restaurant and told Valdeimos she never wanted to see him again. A few days later, she received a message from her family that her grandmother passed away from old age, so she decided to leave the city right away. She left only a letter explaining she was leaving the city and that it was goodbye for good, then left. It was painful for Raava but her family and herself meant more to her than Valdeimos.
It takes months to reach her hometown from the city on foot, which is how she traveled, and by the time she realized she was pregnant it was too late for her to turn back. Raava decided to stay with her family in her hometown, since they had saved a decent amount of money from what she earned working, and raise the child by herself. She still sent a letter to Valdeimos (her family could not afford a phone) telling him of their child, but Raava never received a response. Valdeimos, when he received the letter, never opened it because he was still angry at her and burned it instead. Since she did not know that he never learned about their daughter, she assumed he wanted nothing to do with them, and never contacted him again.
JECHT RUTELLA || JULIAN RING April 28, 1581 139 years old
Jecht was born in England 1581 as a human named Julian Ring. His father was a nobleman and who married a women of wealth, though her family gained their fortune through hunting the supernatural. His father had no idea she was a hunter, and only found out when they were attacked when Julian was only a few months old. Julian's mother died because of a vampire wanting revenge on her family. After her death, Julian's father became a hunter obsessed with revenge against the vampire who stole her life. He trained Julian how to hunt and fight, but Julian hated it, and hardly took his father's teachings seriously. He went on hunts with him but it was always easy targets that would not put Julian in danger, so he never realized how dangerous the job could potentially become, and he loved it when his father would be gone for months. When he was 25, Julian was dragged along another mission with his father but it quickly spiraled out of control. The two of them were attacked by a nest of vampires and they hated Julian's father plus his mother's side of the family. Out of spite they turned Julian, the only heir his father and his mother's family had, into the creature they hated most: a vampire.
Julian was taken by the vampire clan to recover while his father was left behind to feel the despair of his only son being turned into a monster. Julian hated the vampires for ruining his life and he refused to willingly drink blood. Julian's sire was a German vampire named Wolfram von Jecht who refused to let him die and often forced him to drink blood. Two months later, Julian was still difficult to control and refusing to accept his vampirism but that all changed when his father found the clan. He thought his father was there to rescue him, but to his surprise his father tried to kill him. No matter how much he pleaded Julian's father called him a monster and refused to accept him as his son anymore. Julian was forced to fight his father when he attacked and, due to the lack of blood in his system, accidently lost control of himself and killed his father. When he came to his senses, he realized what he had done and fell into despair, only surviving because of the care of Wolfram.
Julian became mentally unstable and could barely control his vampirism at times to the point where the other vampires considered killing him because he was a threat, but Wolfram refused to let his child die, and the two of them fled the clan. Julian became more accepting of Wolfram afterwards and started seeing him as the father he should have had, not the vengeful killer his birth father had become. Julian called him "Jecht" because when they first met he refused to call him by his name due to hating Wolfram, but even through the hatred had subsided, Julian was too used to calling him Jecht and continued to do so. They traveled many places together, often travelling the sea on a small ship Wolfram acquired, and Julian was taught many things by him. He learned how to hunt humans for blood and to control his instincts, but also how to navigate a boat and to read the stars like a compass during their travels. Unfortunately, their adventures came to an end after five years, when hunters found them. Wolfram was killed while trying to buy time for Julian to escape to their boat, but there was a storm occurring, which made it difficult for Julian to steer it. The only good thing about the storm was that the hunters would not dare go after him. The storm caused the ship to wreck and Julian fell into the sea, only surviving because of his vampire healing abilities, and eventually washed up unconscious on a beach some time later.
He was found by a woman named Joyce Rutella, and when he woke up, he panicked and the first word out of his mouth was "Jecht". Joyce mistook this for Julian's name and he didn't bother to correct her, too distracted by the death of Wolfram to care. The kind woman allowed him to stay with her and wanting a new start in life, he posed as her son, from that moment on going by the name Jecht Rutella.
Jecht was happy to finally have a "mother" in his life. She was widowed and lived alone, so she was happy to have Jecht live with her. He took care of the manual labor around the house and insisted she relax. Joyce was a former dancer in the court ballet so she did not like sitting still, even in her old age, and for fun she taught Jecht some dance moves. Jecht took her teachings seriously and committed every dance step she taught him to memory, from time to time wondering if his birth mother would have taught him to dance too if she had lived. Jecht got a job and did his best to blend in with the humans, normally only feeding off travelers who would not stick around in town long enough for people to notice a vampire was among them. He worked at the port and though he longed to return to his life to the sea, he was happy living with Joyce, and stayed with her for years. When she passed away Jecht felt anguished over losing another important person in his life. He finally understood why most vampires stayed away from humans and realized why, even with their powerful strength and abilities, that so many of his kind believed they were cursed. He resolved to never again get attached to one and began seeing them only as food.
He grieved alone in their old house and only left once in awhile to feed, until he finally decided he could not stand living there any longer, and he ventured into town trying to figure out what to do. He found his answer when a group of human pirates arrived to pillage the village. Jecht expressed interest in joining them and although the captain was hesitant, a few of his men had died, so he reluctantly allowed Jecht to join. Jecht stayed with them for only a few hours because that was how long it took him to easily overpower the human captain. He bit into his neck and killed him by draining his body's blood, and threatened the rest of the crew into obeying him. Those who resisted were either thrown overboard or thrown into the cellar to be kept as food, while those who submitted were allowed to roam the ship as his temporary crew. He traveled to different ports in different countries, and within a month he met another vampire named Trixxtal.
He abandoned his human crew in favor of his new friend, Trixxtal, and the two of them decided to travel with each other instead. They went to many places, one of the most significant being a city of gold where they obtained magical items that granted them powers of water and lightning. They were mistaken as pirates in one town, but the idea intrigued them, and decided to become actual pirates. Over the next hundred years they gathered a pirate crew, a ship, stole treasure, attacked other crews, and many other things that gave them a fearsome reputation. Jecht and Trixxtal, the captain and first mate of the FlyingDeath, terrified people on both land and sea.
Jecht has stayed by Trixxtal's side but their relationship definitely has it's ups and downs. Jecht's pride starts a lot of arguments between them so they fight often, but when they aren't bickering, Jecht trusts the other vampire completely and will go to great lengths to make Trixxtal happy. Jecht cares for him deeply and sometimes treats him like a lover, despite never verbally expressing any romantic feelings. But his actions convey more than his silence does and Jecht sometimes joins Trixxtal in calling each other affectionate nicknames, has initiated kisses with him, and gave him a special pocketwatch as a gift.

Weruweru grew up in a wealthy family due to his father's job on the wizard council and is the twin brother of Weruyu Taiga. His mother abandoned them when he was a child so it was only his father raising the two of them, and Weruweru was always pressured to act perfect while his sister was spoiled and daddy's little girl who could do whatever she wanted. He initially resented how carefree she got to act while he was forced to study and never allowed to go out much, but Weruweru took out this anger on his father rather than his sister. He adored his sister and wanted to take care of her so he was willing to help her out with anything she wanted, even if it was something that inconvenienced him like having to pick her up in the middle of the night from a party. Instead of partying, Weruweru got a job at the academy as a tutor for students and was content with his job, as he did not want to work on the council alongside his father. He was the more mature twin and he always had a calm nature, never acting surprised or phased by anything despite what his feelings may be.
Around 22 years ago his sister suddenly announced her intentions to move away from the main city and live in the east, but Weruweru didn't think she could take care of herself on her own. However he couldn't convince her to stay and she left without giving them a way of reaching her. He felt angry and abandoned for awhile, remembering how his mother had abandoned them without much warning as a child, and it was not until his father passed away of old age almost a year later that Weruweru decided to try and find Weruyu, so he could tell her about their father's death. But to his dismay Weruweru could find nobody named Weruyu Taiga in the east and no matter how much he searched he could not find her, so Weruweru thought she had died ever before reaching the east. With his father dead and his twin sister presumed missing or dead, he fell into despair. But he kept on acting his usual self, displaying no pain after the funeral, and he tried to hide his sorrow.
Then, Weruweru met a wizard named Baskette Barru who and she helped pull him out of his depression. They became inseparable best friends and Weruweru slowly fell in love with her and after confessing his feelings, they started dating. Not too long after he proposed and she happily accepted, and life was going well. This happy fantasy crashed on the day that should have been the happiest of his life. Baskette did not show up to their wedding and abandoned him at the alter, but he did not express any distress or confusion, only his normal calmness. He told himself that he should have known that another woman he trusted would abandon him like his mother and sister did, and after confirming from a mutual friend that she was alive and did not mysteriously disappear like Weruyu did, Weruweru decided not to bother with trying to fix things with Baskette if he ever saw her again.
After the disastrous break-up Weruweru continued life as if he had never met Baskette, showing no more signs of heartbreak other than when he threw away all of her stuff. He left his job at the academy and went to the wizard council building to apply for a job. Even though he resented his father, he was the only one who had stayed by his side his whole life, and for a long time his father had wanted him to join the wizard council alongside him. He decided to honor his father's wish so Weruweru became a knight, working as one for the past ten years and focusing on nothing else.
