@Darkraven Well. I'll start by saying that you should pick the char you think you'd be most interested in playing in this setting. I mean, some idea may sound great to me, but you may be forcing yourself into a role that you end up regretting. I DO always say, try to make a character with some trait that can make things interesting later. Interesting can mean makes him mesh well with people, or struggle to be accepted, something like that. If you put a gun to my head though, I'd vote for the last one. Just seems unique and interesting, and his history could lead to a lot of backstory and conflicts in the present, conflicts with himself included.

First, I'd like to start with a massive tangent. The song I originally used to write to is a song by Orbital called "Halcyon (on and on)" which just kind of came to mind upon seeing your name.

Second, thank you for the compliments. Surviving is my like, RP baby, and one day, it's going to take off. I actually have ran it once here before the site went down a few years ago, and it was in its...I think third season. Then we revisited it again, but life kind of kicked me around and dragged me through the metaphorical coals so between that, and a lack of consistent players, it died.

ANYWAY. I would love to find one more 1x1. Would you be interested in the detective/police pairing? Well, you mentioned it, so to some degree, I guess you are.

I'm very aloof and happy this morning, so I apologize for my...silly-ish attitude.

So for the pol/det RP, would you be thinking reality based, or some form of fantasy to it? I'm extremely open either way. I actually have a very rough idea for the one involving fantasy, while the reality based one would be more simple: pick a city (fictional or real) and create chars and jump in.

Let me know. I have to run around for a few hours, I may be around later, but I will be around.

For the detective RP, are you looking for one reality based, or with fictional elements? I'm ok with either personally.

Let me know and we can talk plot specifics. Well, for a fictional based on, I have one idea but I'll wait for your answer. For a reality based one, this is kind of simple as picking a city, fictional or real, and creating the premise that fits us. We could be partners, friends, or not know each other and be brought together on a joint force of some nature. I personally prefer something with at least occasional action, but enjoy the actual detective side also.

I am also open to time periods. I prefer like, early 2000 or late 1990s because there is less...tech? It's where there are not cells and cameras everywhere and makes solving crimes a bit more difficult at times.

Anyway, my short answer quickly spun into this, so let me know your thoughts.
