"We'll most likely also encounter my brother, Tru, who was a former researcher who disappeared studying the Galar legends, only to resurface calling himself the Masked Shadow, attempting to corrupt Pokemon into shadow versions of themselves, and utilizing the Mythical Pokemon Marshadow. So, I'll have my hands full with him, but I'll do my damnedest with Hibiki to help the other experimental Pokemon, like this Gardevior of your mother's." Hibiki, meanwhile, was chatting with and hugging Charmcaster, Gilete, and Zerina, happy to be reunited with what she considers to be her sisters.
Chuck blushed and cleared his throat. "Ummm... Very good." he said, as Hibiki nuzzled Gilete back, hugging her tight.
Chuck sat down opposite them and sent out Hibiki, who sat beside Chuck.
Chuck replied that he would and went up for his match. His opponent sent out a Gengar, and Chuck sent out Hibiki, his Lopunny who was concealed thanks to Zerina. As soon as the match started, Hibiki disappeared, reappearing where the Gengar stood, with the Gengar flying into the side wall, having been hit by her Brutal Swing and knocked out, earning Chuck the win. Chuck praised her for a good job and recalled her, heading out to meet with Serina.
Chuck stepped up next and his opponent sent out a Darmanitan. Chuck sent out Ariel and as soon as the battle began, he activated his Z-Ring, directing the Primarina to use her signature Z move, Oceanic Operetta. The Darmanitan was instantly knocked out from the massive torrent of water dropped onto it. Chuck recalled Ariel and went back to the stands to watch the others.
Chuck was up next, dealing with a Haxorus, a Charizard, and an Alolan Marowak. Ariel made quick work of the Charizard and Marowak with a well timed Surf, and then dealt a massive Twinkling Tackle to the Haxorus, earning Chuck his spot as number 38.
