@Bright_Ops Alright, bye.
Alright, who are we waiting on now? @Bright_Ops? Who else?
Oh, I'm so glad that's not a common mindset.

I mean-- I think I see what you're getting at, Lugia. I know I have fun roleplaying even if everyone else in the RP leaves-- but I'm goin' on my 10th year of roleplaying and nothing you say is going to stop me from feeling aggravated when it happens.

But that's not even the worst part. Your main problem is this right here:

The joy of RPing is in the actual act of RPing and progression of the RP -- that is to say, developing your creative writing skills. (This isn't the only RP site I've ever joined, even though my post count here is very low lol. You have a very high post count, so I'm assuming a good percentage of those posts were of you enjoying and entertaining yourself. In which case, Mission Accomplished, you achieved the primary goal of RPing.)

The sooner the "RP community" realizes that dropped RPs are a completely NATURAL AND EXPECTED RESULT of the Creative Writing Process, the sooner we can truly begin exploring our limits as writers.

Of course it happens. Because, unfortunately, some people are unreliable and inconsiderate. And that's putting it nicely. A good GM will have a backup plan for losers ditching the RP, but to say it's part of the Creative Writing Process? To what process are you referring??

"I'm not inspired anymore"? Is that it? Lack of inspiration? You're feeling 'bored' with the story? Suddenly have an itch you have to scratch by making a new character for a different RP, so you ditch the one you're in? Who cares, right? As long as YOU'RE having fun, yeah?

You know, forcing yourself to write is important for "developing your creative writing skills." (Unlike starting a story and never finishing it-- yeah, I'm sure everyone will love to read your half finished story from 3 years ago. If the publishers don't love it, maybe your mom will?)

What are you looking to accomplish by filling in character sheets all the time as opposed to seeing that character through a story? Focusing on their development and writing them through numerous situations and relationships? I mean, I can't help but assume that anyone who jumps ship as soon as there's a lull in the story is getting much better as a writer. When I read a book, there are some parts I'm really into and some that make it easy to put down for a while. But I still finish the story. Great thing about roleplaying is you can actually do something about those boring times. There are options.

You can write out some of your character's backstory to help get the gears turning. Or even talk to the GM about your concerns! Roleplaying is a collaborative effort between player and GM. The GM isn't psychic either-- so politely talk to them if you have concerns or requests. Believe it or not, most GMs are interested in helping their players have fun so they'll stick with the story! Crazy concept, right?

Or...

We could just do what you suggest. Delude ourselves into thinking no RP we start will ever amass a loyal group of players and never put any effort into the worlds and stories we come up with ever again.
@Captain Jenno Ew, gross. I HATE typing on my phone. Haha. Alright, no worries! Thanks for letting us know!
@The 42nd Gecko Well, I mean... I'd be fine with that. They had the time it took the Redead to bust out and look around for them, too. So yeah.

As the battle began, Callan did her best to set aside her indignity long enough to focus on the screens. Such thoughts were easily shoved aside as soon as Hazel, wearing only her underwear, smashed into the bathroom containing team 4's healer. Every thing was happening so fast. Did she just break both of his legs? She suddenly remembered that these two teams were mainly composed of X-marks. Was that why...?

"I know, I know," Freddy's voice reached her then. "Yup, I've got Mr. Halvost on the way, Daisy, don't fret." Callan glanced back at Christmas's empty seat.

"Holy shit." Her head whipped back to the screens and she gasped, catching sight of Hazel sheering off a large section of the house containing Emma, Ernie, and Savannah. Things didn't get much better from there. Leaning forward on her elbows, her hands remained over her mouth and nose for the remainder of the fight.

"Wow..." she exhaled into her palms. The screens were so still, despite being filled with people. The majority of kids weren't moving for one reason or another. Barely hearing Fredric over the torrent of thoughts in her head, she turned her attention to the evaluation sheet that almost seemed to magically appear in front of her. She looked back to the screens, playing silent replays of notable moments during the fight.

Picking up the pen with a sigh, she obediently set it to the paper. It stayed there, still as stone, for a good amount of time while she tried to think of what to write. Just be honest, she thought to herself encouragingly, but was still coming up short.

Was this meant to be a game or a fight? Her own team's Flag and Seek had seen its own injuries to a lesser extent, but there had still been violence. Unnecessary violence. If it was meant to be a game, as Callan had originally thought, these aberrations were out of control. If it was meant to be a fight.... Zhang didn't really intend for them to hurt each other like this, did she?

A rebellious thought crossed her mind-- to leave the sheet blank or write her questions down for Zhang to see. But she merely sighed. She needed to trust that they knew what they were doing. Nobody had died and Christmas's ability did allow a good deal of wiggle room for injuries. Game or fight, victory had been the goal and Victorious Secret had come out on top.

General Thoughts:

I guess you could say both teams used teammwork. They didn't try to murder any of their OWN teammates, so that's a plus, ya? In the end, team 3 was just better. Or just Hazel. She was efficient if nothing else. Got Emma, Ernie, and Savannah away from her team, secured their healer points, and took out Emma. She definitely carried-- defensively and offensively.

Suggested Improvements:

Team 4 should have prioritized Hazel better and been way more careful. Brent almost took her out of the fight, but it was super reckless. Emma probably should have done more as the strongest person on team 4.

Zoe lost her cool. Ernie lost his cool. Allison recklessly jumped right into the enemy team and lost an eye for it. She got Ernie taken out as a result, but I don't think people should be trading themselves in like that. Same goes for Brent and Gregory. There's gotta be a better way besides going all kamikaze on your opponents.

Callan handed the paper to Fredric, feeling pretty dissatisfied with what she'd written. But she was anxious to put this whole mess behind her. They would get better. Stuff like this wasn't going to be a recurring thing, was it? They'd get better. They'd improve... right?
@Captain Jenno@Bright_Ops

Added Felicia's post so you guys know what to write for Magus and Archer. They'll be going through a similar experience, which will result in everyone landing in exactly the same spot. (That would be the sudden weight landing on top of her)

@DearTrickster That sounds like a cool idea! Yeah, that's fine with me. Though I will say that if she tries to offer her moss blood to the bridge, it won't have any effect.

Lol! Can't have Jillian ditching them in the Lost Woods!

"Ow!" Her ascent came to an immediate halt, coupled with her head smacking against what she assumed to be the ceiling. Lev and the room below was but a glowing speck in the distance. Having regained her voice, Felicia decided now was as good a time as any to scream for help. Before the sound could leave her throat, she found her mouth buried between the cold, wrinkly old fingers of a second Wallmaster. Her eyes widened and the room below vanished as she was yanked and pushed sideways down a tunnel that seemed to run along the length of the ceiling. It was too dark to make out any shapes, but it felt as though the inside was entirely filled with the nasty hand creatures as they passed her from one to the other.

The whole experience was terribly disorienting. Like some sick version of crowd surfing, but more akin to drowning, the dry stench of the creatures filled her nose as she was moved. By the time she reached the end of it, Felicia could hardly tell up from down. The sound of stone scraping against stone came from up ahead and dim firelight illuminated the stomach wrenching tunnel of hands for an instant before she was unceremoniously thrown through the opening. She fell several feet onto a cold stone ground, shouting out as the air flew her lungs upon impact.

Wincing her eyes open, she could see a set of bars, beyond which was a single torch and long hallway. Hissing through her teeth, she slowly moved her arms. Pressing her palms against the floor, Felicia began to push herself upright. On all fours, she froze as soon she turned her gaze turned towards the wall immediately in front of her. The ground was stained red and a collection of four skeletons leaned up against the wall of the cell. She gasped loudly as yet another scream caught in her throat. Before she could move away, a sudden weight landed on top of her.

"Agh!" the air forced its way out again and her limbs gave, reunited her face with the stone floor.

@Captain Jenno@Furia@jasonwolf@Chanda@Dervish@DearTrickster@Bright_Ops@The 42nd Gecko

Sorry for the wait again guys.

Right Group: I'll be messaging those who haven't replied yet right now (Furia and Jenno), but here's a quick lil update.

Middle Group: Since Chanda is MIA, I'm sending some Wallmasters your way. Feel free to go out however you want, but I need Magus and Archer to get grabbed. You guys are free to, within reason, control the number of Wallmasters and fireballs coming at your characters as well as how many they kill, but I do have two rules. Don't kill the Poe and leave Graham out of your stuff. Alyce will just be trying to shrewdly hop out of the way of any incoming hands and fireballs, so don't mind her too much either (unless one of you wants to go out as a hero). Let me know if you have any questions.

Tomorrow I'll be adding a Felicia post so you guys know where Archer and Magus will end up after getting snatched up.

Left Group: Let me know if you have any questions.
