<Snipped quote by Balance>

That's... unique.

*Shrugs* You never know.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

You're not the size of a moon, either.

I'm not. You know, I might accidentally summon a planet-sized space puppy to play with the moon like a ball if that happened.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

The same thing as what?

Maybe the same thing as the field. I don't know, I've never had a projectile bigger than myself hit me before. No one's ever thrown a moon at me.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

What does that do?

Usually the same thing.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

What if the projectile is bigger than you?

Uh, good question. At that point I'd probably just jump out of the way. Or hit it back and blast it with chaos magic.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

That does sound useful.

It's great. Helps me get into close-quarters, where I shine the best.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

What's the advantage to doing that?

Well, none in particular, not any of those three. Unless I want to sling a couch battering ram at somebody. But it's useful in other ways; I have a field around me that messes with projectile attacks.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

That's a bit of an oxymoron.

I mean, I guess. But it's like, I don't know, chocolate rain. It's still liquid and it's still raining; it's just chocolate. Turning a couch into a battering ram. Turning all the paint in the room into gaudy palm tree wallpaper.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

What's a good definition, then?

It's something to do with chaotic systems. Those are when a small change in the initial condition makes a big change in the final result. It's not exactly random: like, for example, the double pendulum is chaotic, but everything it does makes sense and looks reasonable, you just can't calculate why. It's about that kind of predictable unpredictability.
<Snipped quote by Balance>

Is it really random then?

Well, no. I don't think randomness is a great definition of chaos, anyway.
