This is an interest check for a 40k Space Marine Chapter Nation States game.
Here is the system:
1.) I am Chapter Master, my Word is the Word of the Chapter, the Word of the Chapter is Law. 2.) You are Company Captains, you are MY company captains. 1st Company Veterans (Terminator Company) is restricted. You can apply for any company type, use your imagination, but there will only be 1 of each type. 3.) I only want 5 players. The Chapter will start under half strength and you / we have to rebuild it. I will be selecting the best constructed app from the pool submitted. I will accept talented amateurs and veteran master players, as well as people with the X-factor (whatever -that- is). 4.) In addition to your company type, i will want a Player Character sheet for your captain. Again, use your imagination, everything had to be created in 40k for the first time by someone. Usually a tabletop player and not a fancy pants writer for GW. 5.) I will assign resources to you as the chapter master to help in the execution of your duties. With emphasis on the word DUTY. You would do your duty to the Emperor if you were naked on the battlefield armed with nothing but a spoon and a mean-spirited disposition. Expect scarce resources. 6.) We are a nomadic fleet based chapter, you will be given a ship each and get to control it. We will be exploring a local system of about a dozen stars. You will follow orders to deploy to certain areas. Expect to have to peel back the fog of war to discover stuff. 7.) You will be fighting multiple fronts against multiple threats. As GM i will periodically lie to you. We're all big boys and girls, you're going to have to learn to cope with the concept that a source might pass you false information because they are working for the enemy. You cant be a muscle-head, otherwise the brain will take control of the muscle. 8.) The Chapter itself will be defined by me, however there is a wide latitude for what you can make it; i will incorporate any idea which is good and isnt a mary sue, consider your options wisely. I basically will simply bracket what it can and cant be and most else is left up to you. Heres a snap shot: Type: Nomadic Fleet based, Name: Astral Sables, Chapter Progenitor: Unknown, Chapter organisation: Divergent. We are psycher tolerant. We serve the Emperor. Chapter Colours: TBD, submit ideas. You can have a crack at defining everything else. 0.) "Nothing is true, everything is permitted".

Things you must do in this RP: Take Initiative. Take Responsibility. Be honest. Have Discipline. Be creative. Have a thick skin. Dont do anything your boss wouldnt do. Show a little flair. Things your character must do: 1.) Honour themselves 2.) Not use contractions, space marines dont use contractions 3.) Be willing to serve the Emperor 4.) Develop opportunities for themselves. 5.) Medium term goals. 6.) No excessive memeing IC pls, memeing OOC is free.

~What? This is actually a Casual RP??! Yeah i have a job. ~I make mistakes, heh it happens, i rely on you to point them out. ~A slice of life every now and again in the RP but not too much. Know the difference between work and play, outside and inside, IC and OOC. Female player applicants fine. Gay player applicants fine, just be reasonable please the game universe is ultra-conservative and will be enforced. Canon fact; Space marine have no bepis :(. Pick a fight with me, its fine, pick a fight with each other, its fine, its just a puppy fight, not a real blood vendetta, ive actually served as a judge of a debate club before RL. Im aiming for 10% Canon flexibility, no canon rules lawyering nazis pls, 'been playing 40k since 3rd edition. FYI we have not been re-enforced with primaris and dont know of their existance. Thats all i can think of for now.
But i actually think it might be better if you co-GM'd with Joltion. I will accept you as Emperor, but you must retain the power to assign budgets. This is essential to not being dethroned.
I like the idea of a ww1 alternate dimension nations game. Where the landmasses and races are slightly different but tech is mostly the same ala valkyria chronicles. I will accept extremely low powered magic in the setting (which is the reason for the existence of cannons.)
Jeez i really am an old lump of coal... i was looking at this forum with disdain for months without ever even finding out what it was about.
Anyway this is actually one of the seeds i've been trying to water over the years; duelling and martial arts competition. So this may actually be my thing! I read some of Doc Doctors stuff and realised i've been making characters somewhat on the surface of it, similar to some of his builds. However i still have to learn some of the lingo, like what Meta is. In any case. If someone would like to take me up here are some builds which i can quickly re-assemble from my notes.
1.) WW1 fictional nation duel in no mans land between the trenches. 2.) Near-future Space duel in a boarding action of a starship that is breaking apart and on fire. 3.) Warhammer 40k duel w/ non space marine, non sisters, non power armour characters (We're talking RT, DH, OW, humans only). Arena to be decided. (this is the one i'd like to start off with most to just learn the ropes.) 4.) Cat Vs. Cat "this is my meat" (a joke one)

Do you mean pushing people to belive in your political ideology? I dont have any political ideologies so i dont do that. However i prefer it when players i interact with are logical.
