Welcome one and all to what I will be calling Search for Glory an officer NRP. The settings, of the game take place around the late 1700s. So most people use muskets of sort but swords and such are still very much an option. You the player will be a conquistador of sorts, taking orders from the Viceroy of a newly established colony. Some objectives will be personalized in DM others will be given to everyone with first come first serve.

Obviously the rules will be pretty self-explanatory but still have to do them to be cool like everyone else.

#1.Be respectful, to both me and each other.
#2. Pretty obvious one, no Godmodding all over the place.
#3. This is a casual RP but please attempt to be civil and nice, I’m not the best writer but do the best I can.
#4.Magic is apart of this world, but it’s limited by myself so speak to me about any magic abilities.
#5. Finally, real-life comes first if you have to drop out please let me know.

Strength: 3
Intelligence: 5

History: House Wolff is a minor noble house as it has fallen in prestige and power through the generations due to several failed investments in trading ventures and exploration of the New World. In fact, Lord Wolff's father passed away from the sheer anguish of one particularly devastating accident that happened to one of their trading ships that wiped out a majority of the family's wealth. Now, Lord Wolff has come to the New World himself to make sure that things are done properly and to rebuild his family's name and power.

Name: Thorick Grumblestoneironslayerbrewkeeperhammermasterhogtamerstormaxetreehumpergrudgebearerproblemsolver (Last name keeps changing)
Race: Dwarf
Rank: Lt.
Money: 200
Title: (Several he's made up for himself)
Looks:
(Imagine Danny Devito but as a really buff, angry ginger midget with a drinking problem and a habbit of killing everything in front of him.)

Traits:
- Inspirational Commander
- Big

Flaws:
- Drunk
- Vanguard General

Strength: 12
Intelligence: -1
Charisma: 0

History:

Thorick is best described as the world's angriest, most belligerent dwarf capable of surviving on little more than rage and booze. He is the stuff of legends who claims to possess many titles, untold wealth and absolutely no trouble with crippling alcoholism. Anyone with a functioning brain can tell he's also terrible at lying. His origins are a mystery with some claiming he was the bastard child between a highland harlot and an especially attractive bear, others say he was a pit fighting slave who killed so many pit fighters, the arena went out of business because he killed his opponents faster than they could get new ones, yet other say he fell from the heavens in a flaming ball of rage as divine punishment upon the mortal world for one sin or another. Thorick himself is either too hammered or too busy with killing to really give consistent answers. He isn't the brightest candle in the castle (he's more akin to a brick in more ways than one) but if something needs killing, he will do it full force in such a way that it inspires those around him. He's come to the New World after being told that there's stuff that needs killing and enough wealth to potentially pay his ludicrous tavern debts.

History:

The Story So Far:
Born in the bustling town of Vaughan, a few miles outside of the Gallian Captial. Arturo Delfrezy was born to a local noble family. The Delfrezy family had been through tough times the last war, they were originally ore miners in the outskirt town of the Tyrell. Most of the men old enough to join up to the war were sent, including Arturo's father - Jamieson. The men who did return to the family moved, maybe it had been the war that took it's toll on them or feeling to move on with their life but regardless the Delfrezy family moved closer to the border. It's there where they started a small mining company that operated a few mines on the country borders.

When the war broke out, the stoic young Arturo was working with his family managing the company. The mines they previously operated were taken over by the invaders. This crippled the family, and once again the men headed the call to battle. This time Arturo, along with other men in his neighborhood found themselves enlisting in the army. The walk wasn't too long to Pastelo on a day or so on foot from Vaughan, Arturo found others like him enlisting in the city and after a brief time at the recruiting office the nobleman found himself in the army.

Through distinguished actions in combat and proving, he had a good head on his shoulders Arturo was sent to an officer candidate academy, despite some reservations and nobility squandering he came out a fresh officer.

History
The elves once ruled through might and magic. Unparalleled in the arcane arts, they believed themselves superior. Even towards each other. For years and years, they felt that their humble rituals no longer supported their modern lifestyle. None wanted to return to the woods and dance around a tree trunk. The mages believed themselves so superior that magic would listen to their every voice as it was law. It didn't take long before magic began to falter. Fewer and fewer were born with the sacred gift. For generations, the elven mages kept this a secret. Until their power began to fade. Clinging to their forlorn superiority, the faltering mages remained in their high towers. Even now they stay there. They adopt those who have the gift. Yet the power of magic is not returning.

Kedran was one such prodigy. Who squired within a mage tower, where the high-mages hoped to revive the ancient power. Kedran soon proved to be another failure and was made a Mage-Guard. He had the special duty to protect those more gifted students. It still gave him access to the tower's library. Where his curiosity drove him to find out why magic had vanished from the elves. It was in the library where he stumbled upon a few old scrolls marking locations deep within the wildwoods.

Within those woods laid the stone monoliths depicting early elves moving around. Dancing or practicing some martial arts. Kedran could fully identify it. The only thing he could read were the ancient runes carved at the bottom. Several days in a row he tried to copy the movements. During breaks, he deciphered the runes. When he finally solved the final puzzle, every rune on the circle of monoliths fell in sync and was clearly readable. Though it only read one word over and over again: Fire. With that in mind, Kedran continued to perform the moves while focusing on the word fire. When he was done, a small candle flame appeared on his finger. It remained there for a few counts. Enough for Kedran to realize that he was not dreaming. Years of practice under a High-Mage and he couldn't perform magic. Yet practicing a few simple moves allowed him to create fire. Overjoyed he rushed back to his lords.

Who chastised him for his absurdness. How could a few stones and a bunch of runes teach a failure like him how to practice magic suddenly? Realizing that his masters did not want to believe him, Kedran kept low but continued to visit various monoliths, caves and other sides deep within the wilds. Where he mostly drew the moves in his book, together with the runes. Still, his masters were on to him. Fearing their power could quickly be overshadowed by some idiot who thought the answer lied in the wilds, the Arch-Mages banished Kedran from Intre. Kedran, with his books of spells, sailed to the new world. Hoping to make a living as some mercenary as he was trained in close-combat to protect his more "gifted" colleagues. Sadly his reputation preceded him even in the old world.
