[a misty valley of cascading waters and towering trees, dark clouds roll like a sea overhead, thunder rumbles lowly and wind rustles through the needles of the evergreen branches─goats screaming in the distance and a shadow emerges from the billowing mists]

Heya hiya, my name's Audley! Y'can call me Auds, or even just Goatif that suits ya! M'pronouns are they/their, he/his, ne/nir, and thon/thons; if y'have any questions regarding any of 'em n' how they work, please don't be afraid t'ask, m'always happy t'teach!

M'jus' a lil' amalgamation of a hundred or so goats all clumped together in a mothman onesie; y'never really know which goat you're gonna get until it screams at ya!

I like art and movies and anime and games about solving crime and horror mysteries through stolen phones (I'm looking at you, Elmwood Trail), I also enjoy life sims and dating sims and like to watch horror and thriller movies and series.

I like my cocoa spicy with a little bit of the sauce if you know what I mean and my sugar milk with coffee. Pork chops and applesauce or hit the highway, and lactose intolerance is just a reason to love dairy all the more.

History

Hyeon-Ju led a simple yet joyful life in the cozy apartment above his parents' bustling cafe. As the child of hardworking second-generation Korean immigrants, he spent many treasured afternoons assisting in the family business - mastering ancestral recipes and tending to the chickens and garden behind the shop. Though modest, his childhood overflowed with warmth and love. That same warmth endured even after Hyeon-Ju bravely came out as transgender in middle school. However, this idyllic world came crashing down at age twelve when his parents were tragically murdered in a horrific hate crime massacre. Orphaned alongside his older sibling Ha-Neul, the two grieving siblings found refuge with a kind family friend who kept the cafe running until Ha-Neul came of age and inherited the business. But the hardship did not cease for Hyeon-Ju. During his sophomore year of high school, he lost three close friends in a devastating school shooting. Witnessing the valiant response team galvanized his spirit - he too wanted to become a hero. After graduation, Hyeon-Ju pursued military training and eventually rose to become a highly decorated soldier in the Marines. Defending justice and honoring his lost loved ones gave his life purpose. He would have proudly served until retirement if not for the fateful blast during his final mission. Protecting a fellow soldier cost Hyeon-Ju his right leg, but he returned home a revered hero. Now retired, he cherishes time with his sibling's family while assisting in the cafe that harbors so many cherished memories.

History

Their miracle rainbow baby Melody brought hope, but she too passed after just a few short months. The grief was too much for Ha-Neul's wife, who left blaming them for the misfortunes. A few years later, a twist of fate brought a runaway teen into Ha-Neul's life. Taking the boy in from the winter cold, Ha-Neul fought to gain custody of him from his abusive mother. Young Tohato filled the void left by Ha-Neul's lost children and spouse. With their new makeshift family, and brother Hyeon-Ju's return from military service, Ha-Neul finally found happiness and stability again. Despite enduring unimaginable tragedy and loss, Ha-Neul never gave up hope, instead choosing to find meaning in caring for others.

History

Gabe's childhood was one filled with hardship, yet even in the darkest times, the unbreakable bonds of friendship gave him strength. When he was just seven years old, his parents were suddenly deported back to Russia, leaving young Gabe alone in America, a country whose language he could barely understand. He was thrust into the impersonal foster care system, feeling more lost and adrift than ever before. However, in ESL classes at school, Gabe found a glimmer of hope. There he met other children just like him - kids whose families had been torn apart by deportation. Together, they formed a makeshift family of their own, dubbing themselves the United Na-Friends. Though they were constantly being shuffled between foster homes, they clung to one another, taking solace in shared memories and inside jokes. Of all the friends, Gabe especially bonded with Kyung, a Korean boy who lived with Gabe for a time when they were in middle school. The two were inseparable, more like brothers than friends. One fateful day, while walking home from school, the boys got caught in the crossfire of a drive-by shooting. In an ultimate act of sacrifice, Kyung shoved Gabe out of the path of the bullets, losing his own life but saving Gabe's. The loss of his best friend was utterly devastating for Gabe. So too was the later suicide of their friend Erich, who couldn't cope with the trauma and grief. When their final remaining friend, Arne, was diagnosed with cancer, it seemed the universe was cruelly stacking hardship upon hardship on these boys. But Gabe persevered, keeping the spirit of his makeshift family alive in his heart. He graduated high school and briefly attended community college before leaving to pursue his true passion - music. To pay the bills, he works odd jobs - cleaning cages at the zoo, frying up dumplings at Smooth Souls, and sorting mail in a law office. On weekends, he plays gigs at a local dive bar, channeling his experiences of both joy and sorrow into song. Though Gabe lives in a rundown apartment, he fills it with the things that bring him happiness - his pet ferret and snake, along with the paintings, sculptures, and music he creates. Gabe's life has been marked by tragedy, but also by the power of friendship. And no matter what hardship comes his way, he faces it with an unbreakable spirit.

History

After his family was lost in a devastating house fire that authorities could never fully explain, young Antoni was tossed into the turbulent foster system, severed from the only sense of home and belonging he had ever known. But soon, sinister undertones began seeping in as strange requests for questionable “favors” came trickling across the ocean. Trusting in the familial bond, Antoni reluctantly agreed, slowly being sucked into the dark criminal underworld his relatives secretly operated within. By the time Antoni witnessed firsthand the dangerous, illegal dealings, it was too late. He knew too much to simply walk away now. Personality

Josselin presents a complex and nuanced personality that belies his youth. Though his mother's cruel and domineering nature has left deep scars, Josselin remains a gentle soul at heart. He treats even the most unsavory individuals with the utmost kindness and respect, adhering to a strong moral code that guides his actions. This code provides an inner strength that enables Josselin to resist the darker impulses his mother tries to instill in him. However, the years of emotional abuse have taken their toll, leaving Josselin with a deep self-doubt that makes him easily manipulated. Though he knows right from wrong, he often lacks the confidence to stand up for himself, submitting to the will of controlling figures in his life be they lovers, friends, or his own mother. This submissive streak clashes with Josselin's fundamentally warm nature. Personality

On the surface, Feral seems like the epitome of a troublemaker - gruff, rude, and even downright violent at times. Known to cuss up a storm after one too many drinks at the bar, he has a reputation for being an angry asshole. However, underneath the hostile facade lies a caring soul. Those closest to Feral know that despite appearances, he is deeply kindhearted and would readily sacrifice himself for a complete stranger if given the chance. His abrasive attitude is simply a defense mechanism, crafted over years of pain and abandonment. Pushing people away protects both Feral and those around him - for Feral, it shields him from further hurt, and for others, it keeps them safe from the dangerous enemies he's made over the years. Though the isolation pains him, he insists this is for the best. The dichotomy between Feral's outward hostility and inner warmth is jarring to most. But to the select few patient enough to look past the thorns, they find a loyal friend who would do anything for them.

History

Feral's path through life has been one of unimaginable hardship, forcing him to grow up far too fast in a cruel world. When he was just a boy of twelve, alone and vulnerable on the harsh streets of the city after the death of his negligent mother, he fell in with the House of Areli, a violent dravekian clan who saw an opportunity in his desperation. They captured the naive child and forced him into their underground fighting rings, where he was made to battle viciously for the twisted amusement of his captors. Trapped in this brutal underworld for years, his only chance at escape came through the unlikely aid of Emmerich Knochenmas, who bought out his contract and freed him from his tormentors. But Feral's respite with Emme's family, the noble House of Knochenmus, was painfully short-lived. Their spoiled son Anselm tormented him relentlessly, until one day Feral finally snapped, lashing out in violence against his abuser in a moment of uncontrollable rage. Terrified of the consequences, he fled once more to the streets. For years after that he scraped by from dravek house to dravek house, but even when taken in briefly, he found no true refuge or companionship as each and every one sought to use him in one way or another. The vile heir of the House of Molloy viewed Feral as merely a plaything, abusing him horribly until he was driven to kill in desperate self-defense. Now the enraged Molloy matriarch seeks vengeance against him for her son's death. After a time hiding with a group of fellow homeless teens in a safehouse, Feral finally thought he had found some small semblance of community, even bonding deeply with a boy named Tohato despite their language barrier. But when their work with a local criminal group brought bloody retaliation and the devastating raid of the safehouse, Feral blamed himself for the harm done to those he had grown to care for. Now he lives in solitary guilt and grief on the streets, lying to Tohato that he is well-off when they cross paths, as he believes staying away will keep others safe. The years of relentless abuse and trauma have left Feral distrustful of companionship, resigned to struggle on alone against the dangerous world he inhabits. But underneath the scars and hardened exterior remains the gentle heart of that lost twelve-year-old boy, still longing for connection, community, and a life of simple dignity.
