Name:
Samoth Maskono
Age:
17
Grade:
Third Year, St. Laurel's
Biography:
Samoth was raised on a paramilitary training base, with his surprisingly un-strict mother and father. Growing up, he was allowed many freedoms the other children at the base did not have. However, he largely did not choose to exercise the freedom he was given, instead foregoing it to work
even harder than the other young men on the base. Instead of slacking, or staying inside all day playing games, he would spend his free time reading, learning, and developing his mind and body. He strove to be the smartest person in the room - and he made his parents proud.
He didn't need his parents to be strict with him, he was strict enough for himself. Early on he made a daily schedule for him self, and generally follows it to a T. This schedule leaves little time for recreation, and helps improve his mind, body, and by extension his powers.
He followed this schedule relentlessly for years, without deviation - until his parents requested he attend St. Laurel's High School. And, having the utmost respect for his parents, he did.
Samoth's mental training involves interactive activities to strengthen the integrity of his mind, as well as the expanse of his knowledge. He studies martial arts, weapon arts, and what information he can find on magic over the web. He studies military maneuvers and strategies for multiple situations as well - heavily believing in the maxim "Mind over matter". His mental advancement, alongside his powers, provides him solid defense against mind-prodding effects.
As for personality - one would identify Samoth as aggravatingly stoic. He remains quite reserved until he needs to be otherwise, and it seems he is always watching the entirety of a situation, despite how complex. When he does speak up, however, people tend to listen. Notably, Samoth has a solid temper, almost never losing his cool, calculating gaze.
He is blunt, curt, and remote, but isn't, by definition, rude. You should consider yourself lucky if you ever catch a glimpse of a smile.
His goals - gain as much combat experience, knowledge, and self-improvement as possible.
≺ Powers ≻
CoreMagic Negation: Samoth has the ability to disperse magic at a touch. From the major joint of each limb downwards, a quasi-magic, quasi-natural field persists within inches of his skin. This field causes the forces contributing to the existence of magic phenomena to - simply cease to function. Essentially "negating" the magic.
This field permeates other planes of existence, allowing him to touch entities that are normally
incorporeal. Notably, this field gives Samoth an unnaturally chilling touch.
• This field can be turned off if Samoth focuses on it, but otherwise it persists naturally.SecondaryTelekinetic Mass Manipulation: With powerful will of mind, Samoth is capable of manipulating the world in ways that shouldn't be possible. He can create moderately simple shapes and structures out of an invisible mass that he seemingly conjures from the depths of his mind. He is even capable of creating and launching projectiles. However, strike against such masses will cause him mental strain and pain, depending on the strength of the strike. Strain on Samoth is much reduced if the attacks are of a non-physical origin, such as a fireball or laser.
TertiaryPsychic Armament: Samoth can summon invisible masses with the sheer will of his mind. This weapons cannot interact with the outside world in any way, besides the occasional case of blunt-force trauma, and are invisible to the eye. They inflict pain equal to a weapon of actual material would - which is usually
a lot. These weapons disperse upon their fist contact with the target.
QuaternaryTelepathy: Samoth can detect the consciousness of other beings within a large radius of about one-hundred feet. He can also communicate to sensed beings, if he can pinpoint a somewhat accurate guess of where they are.
