Current It's been three years since we lost Polymorpheus, a dear friend. It's felt like a lot longer, that time. I still think about Poly every so often, and how I miss them so very much. I won't forget them.

Bio

uhhhh, hi there

I am here and I sorta exist so yes this is my ‘bio’ and it will probably be rather brief and suck and be sloppy, just like me.
So, without further ado..

stuff about me

Most people call me Barti or Bart as well as a few other things since it’s just easier or meaner than the actual thing - I invite you to do so as well.

I’m a 23-year-old (bday June 20th!) Texan who enjoys thunderstorms and rain far too much, and likes anime, running, metal music, and copious amounts of DRUGS candy, among many other cool things - like DnD and MTG.

I enjoy group rps as well as 1x1s. For groups I have what I think is a decent array of interests, most of it being profusely weeb-y. I like Fantasystuffs (Modern especially), supernatural themes, pretty much all Japanese stuff - including historically accurate settings - as well as general dark/grim themes, comedic slice of life trash, academy rps, unique plots, etc. etc. As for 1x1s I pretty much do romance, but I can do non-romantic stuff too if you give me something to work with xP
The only genre I find myself not entirely comfortable with is really sci-fi stuff, but, if the plot/idea catches me enough it can hold my interest. Oh, and my writing level is high casual to low advanced.

I’m a sarcastic, snarky, bipolar-depressed, degenerate garbage can, but generally people seem to like me (I don’t know why in the hot hell you would) - but if you would also like to be my friendo lemme know.
I don’t bite.
Usually owo xd rawr

welppp...I guess that’s okay for now
thanks for reading, you potatoes

Raine Provostus

Hunter Provostus still stood close to the Blood Saint Adelicia as they drew closer to the elevator - not so close as to cause discomfort, but he suspected she would feel that regardless - eyeing Victor as the other hunter activated the lift's lever, before he began to return to them. He reached - if you could even call it that, with his unnerving arm length - over his right shoulder, shifting the stock of a weapon briefly before it came loose, and he lowered it to his abdomen. It was a crossbow - a heavy-looking one. His right hand once again fell behind his back, this time at the lumbar, and returned wielding a serrated steel bolt, which he promptly placed into his weapon. He hooked his long fingers against the string and pulled it back into position - making it look easy. He nodded slightly in response to Victor's hopes as he finished.

His mind shifted to the bag he carried over his left shoulder. He jostled it, feeling the weight of his helm within it. He reasoned it would be fine to leave in the bag - as long as their only opposition remained a few Yharnamites. Part of him was grateful it was just Yharnamites who left the scene as it were before them. Part of him was disappointed.

He turned his gaze to their charge as she spoke. The shadows on his face seemed to deepen as she posed her inquiry. It wasn't often that the hunter found himself unsure on what to say, but now he hesitated.

"You do not get back the pieces that you lose to the beast." he responded, bluntly. Something about his response sounded tense, if slightly so.

His eyes turned back to the elevator.

Cash Kattner
Location: Stockbridge Academy, Teacher's lounge.
March 6th, 2019.

Cash let out a shuddering breath as his back leaned heavily against the interior wall of what used to be the teacher's lounge. He stared at the floor, an incredulous expression plastered on his face.

"What...the fuck.." he whispered to himself.

What he'd just witnessed was something you could only describe as a horror scene.

He closed his eyes, his furrowed brow a sign of his obvious perturbation as he tried to block out the image of people getting - mangled. He clenched his fists, trying to stop them from shaking as the adrenaline rushed through his bloodstream.

A few days ago, they'd been informed by the school faculty that some sort of "outbreak" was underway. They were ushered to the gymnasium, where the bulk of the school's attendants gathered, muttering amongst themselves about what could possibly be going on outside. After a couple days of being holed up in the gym - which was not a comfortable place to spend a night, not that it matters - they would finally know. Before anybody could realize they were in danger, a kid took a chunk out of Mr. Roberts' neck - causing all hell to break lose as the latter proceeded to follow suit upon the other residents of the gym.

The ensuing scramble was well-warranted, as more and more students seemingly grew ravenously hungry for the flesh of those around them - only after having fallen prey themselves.

Within the scatter, a handful of students managed to find temporary shelter in one of the teacher's lounges - which was where Cash stood now. Cash, among others, had hurriedly thrown anything they could lift against the door as their ravenous colleagues slammed against it.

Their mental reprieve only beginning some time later, when the slamming eventually stopped.

Cash let his hands relax, allowing a short sigh of air to escape his lips as he tried to even his breathing.

This shit is insane...it's - it's like a fuckin' horror flick- he thought.

He opened his eyes and lifted his head a bit as he heard the voices of his fellow students. Initiative was good - and a plan, just as. They could maybe afford to gather themselves for a bit longer, but a plan was necessary regardless. Cash drew his phone from his back pocket, checking for any messages. No bars. His next pocket was just his bike's key fob, and the next was some loose cash. Not useful stuff at the moment. His backpack contents likely weren't of much help either - pens and notebooks, mostly. A pair of scissors, maybe.

He looked around at the others in the room - counting twelve. He didn't know any of them, really - but that's to be expected considering he didn't care to know before this year. At most, a couple might be acquaintances he met in class. He would bet there were a good deal more than twelve of those...enraged students shambling around the school. He wasn't sure exactly how they planned to escape this situation.

He would like to think this whole thing was some stupid joke - but he knew it wasn't. The blood was real. The fear - of all those students and staff - was real.

It's real easy to think "the apocalypse would totally be fun!" when kids aren't getting their throats ripped out in front of your eyes - feet away. When you can't hear the blood-curdling scream of some chick you sat next to through an entire course as she gets tackled by a fucking mangled cannibal - who sat on your other fucking side throughout the same course-

Cash ran his now less-shaky hand up his face, brushing a few locks out of his vision as he interrupted his own thoughts- Get it together!

It doesn't matter who's dead - what matters is who's alive.

His back left the wall, and he took a half-step forward. "Right." he mumbled to himself, "Anyone hurt? Like, not-psychologically?" he asked aloud to nobody in particular - ignoring the two that were bickering - while scanning faces throughout the room.

Cash Kattner
18 - Gemini - Senior - 6'1" - Jacob Robinson

“Looks like we kinda sorta maybe might be completely fucked.”

Appearance Details

Standing six foot in height and having a slim, yet lean-muscled build, Cash possesses an athletic visage - which is to be expected in an avid member of the Martial Arts Club. His dark brown hair, which he styles into dreads, falls just above his shoulders. The end of each strand of hair is slightly lighter than the rest, as they are dyed lightly. His skin is light in tone, and quite clear in complexion. His eyes are light brown.

Cash usually keeps his wardrobe dark in color. He enjoys wearing jackets, hoodies, etc. - anything to keep him away from the cold air of Michigan. He almost always wears jeans and sneakers.
Characterization

Stoic | Guarded | Observant | Quick-witted | Standoffish | Sarcastic | Passionate | Confident | Competitive

Cash didn't have the easiest of upbringings. He was raised solely by an uninterested father, and as such, had to find his own way. Early in age he became entangled in what most would consider the "wrong crowd". This crowd had a different view on society than most people would find acceptable. Being young, Cash was obviously quite influenced by this. He was forged into a boisterous, abrasive adolescent - who only looked out for himself and those he now viewed as brothers, even though he is an only child biologically. However, after a number of years, Cash had matured and realized that this wasn't the way he wanted his life to move forward; with difficulty, he found himself abandoning the only thing he had really ever known as a family.

Over the past year, Cash has been forced to reforge who he is as a person. As he struggles with separating the embedded philosophies he has imbibed over the years from what is actually right, he keeps himself relatively distant from others.

Cash has always been passionate about the things he enjoys - those primarily being Parkour and Martial Arts. Since the departure from his gang, he has found even more time to discover new hobbies he enjoys, the most appreciated among them being Anime, mechanics(Motorcycles specifically), and even writing.

Despite the lasting negative effects his past life has had on him, there are good things that come from it as well. Cash is a quick thinker - usually working well under pressure, and being quite adaptable to rapidly changing situations. He is also quite agile - quick on his feet - as his love for Parkour might suggest. Additionally, he has quite a taste for firearms - and can shoot them reliably, although he doesn't own one himself anymore.

Lastly, Cash is pretty slow to trust others. Having realized what kind of people he has come to trust in his past, he doesn't want to make the same mistake again. Notably, he isn't the most...competent person when it comes to girls. Having not had a mother to be raised by, no sisters, and no friends who were girls, makes it quite awkward for him. He does try to apply what manners he has learned, though.
