*he takes a slow drag of his cigarette, a puff of silver smoke billowing into the night breeze. Parting his lips in a raspy voice barely above a whisper, he speaks.*

"Hello, and welcome."

Here's a rough example of what the Campaign Map will look like. With a quick look you can see that the Irodein Empire has invaded the Thangian Theocracy. We can see where the Imperial army formed along the border, and won a battle west of Teccan, where they now proceed to march. Meanwhile, Thangian reinforcements have formed to the east and march to reinforce the capital.

Might be a good time saver to get an overall picture of a war without sifting through the updates.
Just a couple things yet to go into the map, but it's pretty much finished - just waiting on Tatsua to finish up.

The map will have several layers, including a geographical map, listing terrain and geographical points of interest, a political map, listing cities and capitals, and finally, one that I'm personally excited about, a campaign map, which will detail all current military actions in the game. With a quick glance at the campaign map, players will be able to ascertain whether any wars are currently being fought and by whom, and the location of any deployed armies. This map will likely be a big help for players in forming military strategies during war.
@BlackBishop Go look up how gunpowder was discovered, you'll see my reasoning :P

Ah. Gotchya. You can do something like that and stumble upon a highly explosive substance. Protective gear is advised.
I'm assuming that is a potion that gives immortality, which is too OP - but, you can create some healing elixirs that may boost the overall health of your populous, thus giving you a larger supply.

Orcs of Old Pangea

2779 P.C.

In ancient times before the Cataclysm, when the land was unified in one great continent, many races existed that perished on the Day of Reckoning. One such race that did not perish, to our misfortune, is the Orc. A relatively populous race, by historic accounts, the Orcs were diverse and inhabited ranging from snowy peaks, volcanic wastes, to humid jungles. They ranged in complexion from leathery black skin, green to covered in brown fur.

According to the suriving reports dated before the Cataclysm, orcs lived in a brutish and tribal society, where only the strongest ruled. Most prominent of these ancient Orc holdings was the High Chiefdom of Ash'tar, a kingdom that warred with our human ancestors on many occasions. The tale of human heroes in the old epic of Stargazer survived the cataclysm and can be found in the Libraries of Ritang. The ancient epic gives a detailed account on a war upon Ash'tar, and gives fascinating insights on Orcish culture, or lack thereof.

Only a mere century ago, an Imperial hunting party came upon an Orc in an isolated mountain pass near Ishingu Castle. The beast was promptly slain. The incident substantiated years of rumours that persisted that orcs did indeed survive the Cataclysm and were present on Wessos. Despite liberal figures proposed for their projected numbers, it is this author's opinion that Orcs likely only exist in broken clans or family units, and not a threat to the Celestial Empire.
Say, what is the tech level we can go up too? Classical Medieval? High Medieval? gunpowder?

The technology of Crypso is akin to the High Middle Ages, about twelfth or thirteenth century. Gunpowder has not been discovered, but that isn't to say your kingdom can't strive to pursue something similar through alchemy.
updated the mercenary faction post in the character's tab to include some new mercenary companies.

should I be concerned about this at all? O.o

Also, what are the orders? Just something you announce and give you nation some kind of buff?

We all should.

Orders are anything you wish to implement to better your nations stats, or interact with NPCs or other kingdoms. You get an order for each category; Military, Diplomacy, Administration, or Plot. Check the OOC OP for details on each.
