Current For the same reason it was able to gather its power, I will not bow to it. Freedom is for everyone; not just the loudest voice.

Bio

I return from a long hiatus, in the hopes that roleplaying has once again returned to the art of inclusive storytelling. Prove me right and I will stay. Prove me wrong and I will go.

@Valor, given that this is a separate mythology from real-world lore, it's honestly up to you. But I would encourage and respect the inclusion of accurate weaknesses; it shows attention to detail and fair play.
Also...if you don't mind my saying so, @MatthiasAngel, Winters appears to have a bit of a mouth on him. Perhaps the kind of calculated audacity one gains over several years of getting to know one's charge personally; where the lines are, and precisely how near to them one can tread. I haven't read the whole post yet, but that comment about the sword...I enjoyed it. A bit of kettle and pot, I think.
My mind immediately went to "Jonathan". Not sure why. Jonathan Winters. Sort of rolls off the tongue. Sebastian could be a middle name? Jonathan Sebastian Winters III. ^_^
Understood, @Tergonaut. I am constructing an outline for my first post now. I may put it up tomorrow, or wait for Monday to consult with you on a few points.

With all that said, Tergonaut brings up a point I had wondered about. Collaboration posts can be a powerful tool for moving forward with plot, and can combine many shorter posts (such as conversation, combat, etc) to avoid dozens of one-liners. I understand the request for holding off on collaboration posts for the moment, and will respect that request. However, if/when it becomes appropriate to use them, I am available for collaborations.

I am looking forward to seeing where this takes us.
Discussion and debate are healthy for a roleplay. It may take some time before we strike a rhythm with either. I don't think either of you meant to be rude. Just an outside observation.
Acknowledged. This seems like quite the motley crew, so far. It will be interesting to see how Sam fares in a team dynamic with such rogues. :D
I think the NPC idea is a fair option, especially since it seems like we're all doing single characters thus far. It would give an option for still including her, without upsetting that balance of play. There's nothing to stop you discussing what his sister would/would not do with Tergonaut in PMs, so there is still that level of control over the development of the character.

Tergonaut has reminded me that IC posts are to wait until all six slots are filled, so I am retracting my earlier statement. I'm afraid I was a bit overzealous about getting into a roleplay again, and jumped the gun. I personally have no doubt that the remaining slots will be filled quickly.
@duskshine749, you are quite correct about the name conflict. It will cause some confusion, at some point, at least. However...at my first job, I worked with two Davids, two Brians, a Ryan, a Karen and an Aaron. You could not utter a single name in that place without at least two people lifting their heads. It's...honestly a very common name, although I'll admit not as common for a female. If I'm honest, I hadn't realized your character had that name until after I submitted my request. It may be something we'll just have to handle as "one of those things" in the course of the story.

For what it's worth, Sam hates her given name, which is why she utilizes the abbreviated version. Truth be told, in almost any scenario we'd like to imagine, she will use an alias of some kind anyway. "Sam" is only the name she gives to her closest allies; those she intends to interact with over a longer course than just the current job. It may be that her callsigns and street names are the majority of her identity.

In any event, I'm certain we can work it out to where we can indicate which "Sam" we're referring to. I'm willing to work for it if you are. ^_^

@Tergonaut, thanks for the speedy decision. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do to help out with the story. Sam's been inactive for too long and wants to stretch her legs. There are raw components out there, unused, forgotten...every chip a blank canvas waiting for the brush that is her soldering iron. I will post her CS to the Characters page immediately. IC postage may occur tonight.
Sam likely wouldn't even notice. Clothing is a tool, too; if it's serving its purpose, she's happy. We won't be having the "wore the same dress as another girl to the dance" problem with her. ^_^
