I like to think that I have a healthy amount of self-esteem, but I absolutely cannot generate original writing ideas without thinking they're trash and uninteresting

Bio

Hiya, I'm Blitz. I'm oddly eclectic. I love football and drinking shenanigans, but I am equally a huge nerd and love writing and RPing too. Genres I prefer generally depend on my current mood, but I tend to prefer RPs about college/sports, gangs, mild and dark fantasy, realistic/modern/slice of life, post-apocalyptic, futuristic... I could be convinced to do anything if you're good enough at arguing honestly.

I think I'll also put a bunch of my characters' quotes here because what better describes a person than the things they say? (Or rather, things my characters have said... Tee-hee)

OOC IS ALSO ALREADY MADE. SEE HERE

It’s a typical January afternoon. You sit at the kitchen table, twiddling your thumbs until the long-awaited dull roar of the mail truck comes droning by. With a start, you dash outside and rip open the mailbox, filing through the various bills and magazines not addressed to you. Then, you see it. A rather hefty envelope with your name on it and a familiar logo in the corner. With your palms sweating you return inside and ravenously tear into its contents…

Also inside the envelope you learn of any notification of earned scholarships, a sticker for your car, and an official certificate that proves your acceptance into this prestigious university. You sigh with relief, a big smile playing on your lips. You did it!

I’m back, bitches.

What's that? You don't recognize me? Well, I assure you I'm a fairly huge deal around these parts...

Anyway, my schedule for the foreseeable future has an uncanny amount of free time in it, and while I've gone through a rather unexpected forced metamorphosis from an awkward caterpillar into a social butterfly, I've come to the conclusion that I do indeed have enough time on my hands to handle running a roleplay.

So for this roleplay is set in college. You probably sniffed that one out. And (sorta) as a nod of respect to the recent college football national champs, I figured having the school be a football powerhouse set in the South would be a zesty twist on things.

Don't worry, you don't have to like football for this roleplay. But there will be a game every Saturday in the fall semester, and if no one wants to write out the chaos of actually going to the game, I'll be fine with that. But I plan on providing a synopsis of the game, just so characters have something to discuss. All schools that Caligo University will play against are fictional, too, and also located in the South. I'm actually excited about writing about fake football games, anyway. Having to narrate it in real-time would be... rough.

If this gets enough interest, I can flesh out an OOC. I will also include information like the layout of campus, the school cheer, the mascot, our rival, the traditions, all that good stuff. Oh, and fraternities and sororities. Those are big in the South. They're also not quite as... stereotypical as they are in North? They're not like Animal House... Not always, anyway. More info on that later, though.

I already have most of the information ready to go, so it shouldn't be a problem. For those who are curious, we are the Caligo University Wolves, the school is in the town of Caligo, Alabama, (again, fictional), and our battle cry is... FULL MOON! (Because, like, that's what wolves howl at and it hypes them up or whatever.) I know. It's kinda derpy. But I can point out some schools whose cheer is equally as derpy... *cough* *cough* I won't drop any names, though. Heh.

Tell me whatcha think!
Update: ALABAMA WON! ROLL TIDE! The entire game was a goddamn emotional rollercoaster though. A game truly fit to be called a championship.
Alabama Crimson Tide or Clemson Tigers?
Oh my, yes! I co-GMed a gang-style RP with a close friend back in the day. (And participated in numerous others. I also wrote a gang story by myself once... hehe.) If you'd like some ideas or whatever, feel free to send me a PM! I'm on winter break now, so I have a lot of free time.

(Reference the Angel and Knox quotes in my bio... They were from a gang RP lol)
*sobs* I don't think I'm gonna finish in time

Edit: I definitely won't be finishing in time. Unless I REALLY get my shit together on Sunday. Which is doubtful. Ughhhhhhhh. We'll see. I need sleep.
And reading closer to the rules has snagged me yet again as Writer's Block has me trying to think of an idea.

I'm feeling that right now too. I can't even think of an idea because the requirements are so... ugh. But I suppose that's the spirit of the challenge. They're not called the Twelve... Cakewalks. Or, you know... whatever.
May dip my fingers in this one. Or whatever. Can't think of an appropriate colloquial metaphor. I've been unbelievably busy lately, but hopefully I'll get something for this one, unlike for the RPGC.

Also, I believe this GIF may fit inside the challenge parameters.
Oh. It's due tomorrow. Oh. I guess I won't be submitting anything after all. Oh well, I wasn't really thrilled with what I had anyways.
who just poked me
I'm trying out a kinda new style with this one and it seems too clunky and formal (I normally try to use the vernacular, see). Even though I really like the story and the lie it encapsulates, it just... UGH it doesn't read right! Damn, this is what I get for stepping outside my comfort zone.

But I suppose I'm here to improve, not to win (though winning would be nice!). So I think I'll keep it. Evem though it pains me to do so.
