@floodtalon Hey do you want me to wait for you to post? I'm not sure about the posting order anymore lol
@KoL@TheWindel Thank you :)
Fei

Clenching her teeth in pain, Fei cursed at herself for being so careless. The pain in her leg was intensifying and the world was beginning to sway. She blinked several times to stay conscious. "If you are injured, I suggest you disengage from battle and recuperate." Chen spoke to Fei as if his words held any importance. To Hell if she’d step away from the battle. There was no way, poison or not, she could possibly give up this mission. Too much was at stake.

And then suddenly Jessi was by her side, and part of her grew at ease. “I’m fine..” She mumbled before growing wobbly and relying on Jessi to keep her upright. Dammit.. Why did everything have to go wrong at the worst possible moment? She had to keep fighting or everything up to then would all be for nothing. Black spots soon filled her vision and it felt like only a matter of moments before she would pass out. For better or for worse, Fei was taken from Jessi’s warm grasp and set under some bushes by their strange cat companion. Taking a deep breath, she waited for Si to pull out some healing potions or special herbs that would get the poison out of her system. Of course things always went in an unexpected way in Fei’s life.

Putting her face up to Fei’s leg, Si began to vigorously lick her wound. Fei’s eyes grew in alarm and she would have called out at the damn cat had a feeling of strength not passed through her. The fire within Fei was quickly returning to life and despite hating every aspect of the situation, Si’s soft licks were incredibly pleasing. She closed her eyes as her entire body grew warm and a slight crackle of fire appeared on her head. Not even the boys’ discomfort could ruin the sense of bliss she was feeling. Part of her knew the moment it was all over, she would be mortified, but for now, she didn’t care.

Before long, all of the poison killing Fei on the inside was gone and the cut on her leg was no longer present. She felt incredible, like she could take on the entire universe and come out victorious. The fire on Fei’s head grew even more as she clenched her fist for battle. Looking around, she realized both Jessi and Chen had taken the battle floor, without her. “Damn them.” She spoke aloud in annoyance. And then there was Si, the strange cat who always seemed to have the answers. She hesitated before speaking to her. “Umm.. thanks…”

And with that, Fei marched forward. It was clear that Chen and Jessi had both split up, Chen with the elves, and Jessi with the soldiers. Both were making quick work of the enemy and didn’t appear to even need her help. But the newly restored magic was beating inside her like a heartbeat, as if begging to be unleashed. There was really no thoughts involved as Fei moved toward Jessi. Pulling out the devilish twin swords, Fei stepped beside him. “Need some help?” She grinned as he was clearly pulling his own weight. As her entire body was still glowing from the warmth of Si’s licks, Fei couldn’t help but immediately jumping into the fray. Sinking her sword into on the soldiers, she used the momentum to kick another one in the face, sending a strong wave of heat with the touch. Looking back at Jessi, a soft smile covered her lips. She didn’t even need to speak to tell him to make sure they both got out of this alive.

@KoL I know, I should have been more responsible and I'm so sorry for disappearing. Is it okay if I jump back in the story? I understand if you guys don't want me to though :(
@KoL I am honestly the world human being ever. I'm so sorry! Ugh :/ Every time I get the chance to write a post, I just end up sleeping or something. My extended essay was due on Friday and after working for almost a year, I finally was able to finish it! That's no excuse for posting though and I'm truly sorry. I am going to write up a post right away after I post this and it should be up within an hour or two. I understand if you want to go ahead without me though because I keep disappearing like this :(
Ugh I'm sorry, I keep meaning to write a post. College apps for early action were due recently and my extended essay rough draft was also due today so life has been a little crazy at the moment. I am free once school is out today so if I don't pass out when I get home, I will try my best to get one up tonight.
Oh crap, I forgot about the Jester's deal with Fei! I'm sorry!! Ughhh :(
Fei

Grinning at Jessi’s comment, Fei watched with pride as he swiftly defeated the approaching warriors. While they both knew she truly didn’t need a bodyguard, she was still grateful for his presence. Who else would keep her rashness at bay? Chen’s icey attitude even managed to help step in as he froze one of the enemies, finishing the killing blow with his ice dagger. It was still so strange to fight alongside allies, of course describing Chen and Si as allies was a long shot, but part of her still felt a little bit stronger. She was no longer just fighting for herself, but for Jessi, and for the world. It was.. a nice feeling.

While the three had been absorbed in fighting, none had noticed the small group of mercenaries sneaking from behind. Poisoned arrows were fired toward the group and Fei cursed out loud. Unsure what to do, Fei followed her instinct and sent a wave of fire at the arrows. However, while the body of the arrows had disintegrated, the poisoned tips remained and continued to descend upon them. She hoped her comrades could dodge for despite her agile body, she felt a small prick on her leg. Ignoring the pain for now, she continued on the battle.

As the Fey unsheathed disturbing weapons coated in the same green-like poison, they marched forward to attack. Yet as they caught sight of Si, they froze. Whispers of ‘the white death’ were muttered throughout the group. Fei glanced at Jessi, sending him a confused look. What were they talking about? What secret was Si hiding from them? Whatever it was, they didn’t have long to think for the Fey’s commander yelled for them to attack. As he took Si on directly, the rest charged at Jessi, Chen, and Fei.

Looking down at her double swords, Fei wondered what damage the green substance would cause to them. She couldn’t afford to lose them so early in the mission yet she didn’t want to be defenseless. Only time would tell as there was little time to dwell on useless thoughts. By now, Fei could feel a numbness creeping up on her leg slowly. The elves must have noticed too for only one of them approached her. She growled in annoyance. Sending intense flames toward her attacker, Fei forced herself to follow the attack by a punch to the face. As the elf lost consciousness, Fei extinguished her flames. She bit back her dizziness and looked up to hopefully find Chen and Jessi finishing the rest off.

Once they continued on, Fei’s breathing grew heavier and it was only a matter of time before she couldn’t walk anymore. The group eventually made their way to site of the actual war and blinking, she could just make out the thought to be dead, Black Knight, Tegonay Sidonius. “Well damn, why does it have to be him? I thought we killed that old man last time.” She groaned in both annoyance and pain. Why the hell did she have to be injured when their mission was only beginning? There was no time to deal with poison! It was taking all of her energy to stand and stay conscious, how could she take on a single warrior? Looking at Si, she hoped the damn Fey had another secret about curing poisons.

Fei

While the group continued asking questions about the situation, Fei noticed Chen glowing with anger and a lust for revenge. She could almost taste the passion in the air. Raising her eyebrow, she crossed her arms in curiosity. While it may seem silly, she hadn’t expected a Librarian to show emotions beyond complete hatred. It was strange.. Of course he was a person just like her but somehow the fact had gotten lost past the many years of despising his kind. Shaking her head, she decided to hold the debate for a more appropriate time.

Waving her tall staff, the cat woman began leading the group away from the desolate base and toward what would hopefully bring them one step closer to a better future. As they began trekking farther into the forest, not even Fei could deny the chills going through her body. A constant stench of rotting corpses filled the air and despite herself, Fei stepped slightly closer to Jessi. Part of her felt like a child. War was not a pretty thing, it was rancid and horrifying, and she was only witnessing part of the aftermath right now. Already, her stomach felt queasy. She refused to show any of her inner feelings though because much like the many dead bodies piled up, Fei would go to any lengths to complete this mission.

Shouts from the ongoing battle echoed into the silent forest and Fei scanned the trees for any movement. A slight fire grew on Fei’s hair as she prepared herself for the almost certain battle to come. “Don’t die.” She muttered to Jessi before pulling out her twin swords. Mere moments later, a figure shot out of the trees and sprinted toward Jessi. While she knew he would have already sensed the mercenary’s movement, Fei was first to attack. Meeting the man halfway, Fei slashed her right sword along his stomach and sent a wave of heat to strengthen the killing blow. As the man fell to the ground, she washed off the splash of blood on her face.

Despite her previous excitement, the realization of what was going on really hit her. Anyone could jump out at the them at any given time. They all needed to be on constant alert or they could quite literally die. It was foolish of her to jump with excitement at the idea of battling in the woods. This was war. Not some tournament with rules or her school with strict safety precautions, but a real fight. Fei wouldn’t and could not mess it up. “Let’s hurry and find this relic before we all end up like him.” Her face darkened as she spoke out loud before continuing to follow Si.
