Because of her behavior and large mouth, Abby has a nasty habit of getting in trouble. School and her never really got along. She hates rules and isn’t afraid to show her distaste for it. People hate hearing the truth, and Abby has gotten quite talented at shoving it at people’s faces. Where her brother succeeds in social skills, Abby has always been the fighter. Bio:
Born from two powerful politicians in Shine City, Abigail and Alexander Clarke lived a life of constant perfection and strict expectations. From a young age, the twins were taught the proper etiquette and actions that would ensure their parents maintained a good reputation in the eye of the people. Stand up straight. Wave and smile. Impress them. Do whatever it takes to get them to like you. Abby absolutely hated it. She lived in a world where the interpretations of the public were more important than that of her own feelings. Stripped of her personal ideas and beliefs, Abby was forced to wear a mask of elegant clothes and makeup and take on the role of a ‘proper lady’. Everything about it screamed wrong but for most of her childhood, Abby played the part her parents wished her to.
Despite their cruel living conditions, the twins were able to grow incredibly close. Inseparable, they depend on each other for everything. There’s no one Abby trusts or cares for more than her brother, in fact, he’s the only one. With her brother at her side, being pawns in their parents political game of chess became bearable. The two know each other inside out and Abby would do anything for the sake of her brother.
As the two grew older, Aby no longer tried her best to be ‘perfect, and began thinking only of her brother and herself. She acted out at school, talked back to teachers, stopped studying for classes, and only committed to things she had a genuine interest in. Something about gardening and herbs had sparked her interest, so she invested all of her time to learning the craft. This, of course, didn’t bode well with her parents, who were constantly covering up her extra curricular activities to the press. Once the twins graduates high school, they were shipped off to Shine City Academy in hopes that they would learn how to grow up and begin acting like adults.
While visiting her parents (unwillingly) from college, Abby uncovered a horrifying scandal. Sneaking into her parent’s room or eavesdropping on their conversations had become a habit of hers, but she typically heard nothing of importance. However, her parents had grown careless while the twins had been away at college. They had recently announced a series of fundraisers they were conducting for a well known charity; Abby knew it was only for show, but she hadn’t realized what they were truly planning. Instead of giving the money they raised to those in need, her parents had been tucking a large chunk of it for their own profit. Abby refused to let her parents get away with such a terrible deed, and after much debate with her brother, they finally agreed to release the information to the public. An uproar followed in suit. The Clarke parents, livid from the twins’s betrayal, completely disowned them. All money and help from their parents was cut off, and the twins were thrown out in the world to fend for themselves. They both founds jobs of their own and take residence in the college dorms. While the Clarke scandal went down two years ago, the twins still get several glances and whispers whenever they’re in public.
