PLEASE READ!!!!!!


Starting NOW I have implemented a new system for how I will pick and choose my RP Partners. Please read the END of my original post to see the changes I have made or open the hider below. 

From now on (not including those who I've already messaged), I will not be accepting or answering PM's from those interested until the rules I've outlined are followed step by step. Thank you for your cooperation as it will make this process much easier for myself and for anyone involved!

To express interest in a 1x1 with me, COMMENT below with the following:
Your age (or at least state that you're 18+)
The RP you are interested in
The platform on which you would prefer to roleplay (out of the ones I listed)
A small but thorough sample of your own writing using one of these prompts (please hide all samples in hiders so they don't take up space):
1.) Describe the greatest sunset you've ever seen with as much detail as possible
2.) Two people meet at a cafe for a 1st date - describe the scene for me as it unfolds
3.) In the best way you can, explain to me what your favorite color would smell like, taste like, sound like, and feel like.
4.) Submit your own sample as long as it is at least 3 paragraphs long but no longer than about 8 paragraphs.
The next step will be:
I will read your sample, check out your profile, and decide from there if I personally believe you and I would be compatible RP partners.
You will receive a PM from me IF you have been accepted so to speak.
If you do not receive a PM, please do not feel bad. It's not that you are a bad writer, it's that I don't feel we would be compatible.
Most importantly, do NOT harass me with PM's - if you believe you've been looked over, sending me ONE PM would be fine. If I do not respond to that, it means I'm not interested.

Introduction

I joined RPG for the first time back in early 2008 and was a well known and active member all the way up to late 2012 when I unfortunately decided to take a long hiatus due to real life. I am recently in a more stable situation and I truly have missed using this place as a creative outlet...so I'm back, for now 

21 years old (Born in 1993)

10+ years creative writing experience, 7+ years roleplaying experience (Primarily Advanced)
College student/Employed

My writing style is very flexible in that I can easily alternate between different points of view depending on what the RP in question calls for. If you are not sure what that means, please take the time to click the highlighted link in the last sentence. 

Level
I am a primarily Advanced writer, which means you will almost always find me in the Advanced sections. From time to time I will check out casual if I feel like doing something more fast paced and laid back without stressing the details. However, that is very rare and I do love a good, thoroughly thought out, detailed roleplay experience. 

Length
My replies can only be as long as the information my partner leaves me to work with. I like to avoid filler (aka, unnecessary writing to make the post look longer) - but I am pretty damn good at shelling out several paragraph replies. Because it takes at least two to roleplay, and only two in a 1x1, the length of my replies depends greatly on what you put out there, which is why it is extremely important that we stay connected and communicate with each other if we have questions, or writers block. You can't expect me to give you 10 paragraph replies if you are only giving me 3. 

Leadership
I am a leader by nature and I truly do enjoy to lead others and help solve problems, make decisions, brainstorm, etc. However, one thing I hate with a passion is having a roleplay partner with no backbone. Just because I am a leader does not mean you need to be a push over and let me decide everything. My ideal partner would also be a leader, who is willing to compromise with me and put in as much work as I do. 

Details, Details, Details!
I LOVE DETAILS. No, seriously. The best thing you can do with your writing is enhance it with details. My writing always expresses imagery, as if I'm painting a picture for you in your mind as you read my post and I strongly demand that any partner of mine have this kind of skill set. Don't just tell me who your character is! Tell me where they came from, where they're going, what it looked like on the way there, and how they felt about it. A good rule of thumb is to use the 5-W system: 
1.) Who?
2.) What?
3.) When?
4.) Where?
5.) Why?

And it doesn't hurt to add in "how" either.

GENDER: My partner does not have to be a male or play a male to be qualified - most roles can be set up for FxF, or even MxM.
Being a mostly heterosexual female, I will only accept so many FxF/MxM RP's - Please be understanding of this. I tend to primarily play female roles.

Roles are character type pairings that we (myself and the partner of my choosing) build our own plot around. 
The color of the X in the middle of each pairing will indicate the availability status.
ANY roles can be made Mature upon request. Just because a pairing does not have a [M] next to it does not mean suggestive content isn't possible, it just isn't the focus.

Plots are pre-thought out prompts that I've thought of and are interested in. 

1.)Partners (Action/Romance/Drama) ***
My character has been a homicide/special victims unit detective for going on 7 years - with the same partner for 4 of those years. Until a few months ago, when he was shot by a suspect during a car chase. After what seemed like an eternity of boring desk work and enduring the horrible grieving process, the captain has decided it's time for me to get back on my feet with a new partner, just in time to be put on a new case. You were transferred from another division and although we've passed each other by in the hallway before, until now we've never worked together. Romance? Frustration? Friendship? Let's find out. 

2.)Pregnant (Comedy/Drama/Possible Romance) *
It was just a stupid one night stand. It never should have happened. We were drunk, and the chemistry was undeniable. The sex itself was great, and then...the next morning, like strangers who'd never met before, we went our separate ways. Nearly a month goes by when my character, who is shocked to find out she's pregnant, contacts her one-night stand fling with the news. Can two strangers come together to raise a baby, or will chaos ensue? 

3.)The Journey (Sci-fi/Action) **
The year is 3015 and space travel has advanced far past our wildest dreams. Humanity now has settlements on mars and the moon, as well as man made space stations positioned within Earth's orbit. We've discovered alien life, and have shocked scientists around the world with our findings. Now, Earth has chosen to make its biggest move yet - sending a 100 passenger space ship to venture at ultra-speeds to the recently discovered planet X, which we believe has a very similar atmosphere to Earth. The journey itself will take 6 months and our characters are passengers on this massive ship. You can be anything you like - someone along for the ride, a scientist, a medical doctor, one of the crew, etc. 

4.) Change (Superpowers/Romance) ***
We grew up together, you and I, in this old town we call home. A tiny little town smack dab in the middle of Georgia. The deep south is one hell of a place to grow up-- we minded our manners, respected our elders, and went to church every Sunday. It's the end of senior year, and everyone can't wait to graduate and move far away from this old place and start their new lives. My character has had a crush on you since middle school, and is trying to find a way to let you know before the end of the school year as summer quickly approaches. But your character, once an average high school boy, has somehow acquired superpowers (you pick them within reason) and as more and more strange things begin happening in town, you come to realize you may have been chosen to be the hero -- but are you capable of balancing your new found powers and your personal life?

There are a few different options we can choose from as far as where our 1x1 can take place! 
Please keep in mind, regardless of WHERE our roleplay takes place, we will still keep in contact through RPG as needed or if other ways of communicating fails.

All 1x1s that are conducted here in the 1x1 forums cannot be sexually explicit - all sexual scenarios will have to be played out through PM's or another platform. This option works best for people who do not have the ability to roleplay elsewhere or simply prefer the forum layout.

Roleplays over kik messenger are convenient, personal, and limitless. That means we make our own rules. Please note: Just because we are roleplaying over an instant messenger does not excuse short, misspelled, grammar trainwrecks. This option works best for sexually explicit roleplays or if you'd rather our roleplay be fast paced (can't promise fast replies 24/7). Kik is accessible through your smart phone only and is FREE to download from the app store. Kik given out over Private Message ONLY.

Yahoo messenger is a platform similar to Kik in that it is instant and fast paced - it's all in your preference. Yahoo messenger can be accessed from your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone and is FREE to download from the app store. Yahoo messenger given out through Private Message ONLY.

If you would prefer our 1x1 be kept 100% private, this is the option for you! Roleplays conducted this way are always done using the forum's PM system. Anything goes here as it is not public.
