Why am I more popular on the internet than I am in real life?

*Lets Circus snuggle*
I only ask because I've been throwing various ideas around in my head to kill time on how best to best him in the future to keep me entertained.

Well, there's also the fact his precognition is less likely to happen as he runs low on magic power/gets exhausted. So Karn is really helping people out more than he realizes.

Generally though, his precog will always give him the upper hand, at least at the beginning of a battle.

But that's also how Luna has beaten him once. She used his cockyness to draw the fight between them out long enough that his precognition would stop triggering most of the time, then went full out on him. (Since she, raw power wise, is in fact stronger.)

Grant's precognition should be able to get overwhelmed by a series of rapid fast attacks, right?

If they're rapid enough, he'll see them all in one 'cognition' that kinda averages outcomes (as people tend to change their attacks if the other person dodges) then not get another one until after all he 'cognitized' has happened, so he ends up having to try to memorize it. There's a maximum time on it though.

Generally, he shortcuts it by just remembering the ones that did the most damage and focusing on avoiding those, or by finding a place to interrupt the attack, or by doing his best to get out of range.

The current game is probably the last time this will matter though.
@Burthstone Also Malice complained about You guys deciding who got her XD

Ik, that's why Grant glanced at her, but he's more focused on not shouting in pain, and not getting beat up by Penny,
Grant Vale -- Magic Games Event
Grant seemed pained as Karn failed to transform, but
managed to keep his cool as Penny faced him down. ”Ah, I wouldn’t advise hurting me if you really do care about your Karn.” He’d chuckle softly, though his breathing would become slightly labored from Karn’s misfortune as he did his best to keep himself under control. ”Just about anything you do to me will hurt him just as much right now, that includes a level of physical damage.” He added, making sure Penny understood. It would cross his mind that it's also lucky that transformations didn't activate through the link either. He would glance over at Malice as she complained about them ignoring her, but he wouldn’t say anything, keeping his attention on Penny. ”So, if you don’t mind, I’m sure there are opponents you’ll find far more interesting than this one.”

Serma “Luna” Cathris -- Magic Games Stadium Hallway
Luna would nod as Amelia’s question. ”Y-yeah, I’ve been doing okay. Uhm, how are you? I know I was kinda rougher on you in the games than I really needed to be. Which is, uhm, what I kinda came to apologize about the other day. I mean, I get that it’s the games and everyone knows they’re gonna get hurt but… I felt like I had gone a bti farther than I needed to to win our fight, a-and it made me feel awful knowing I could’ve hurt you badly. So, uhm... I-I’m really sorry about that, i-is what I'm trying to say.” Luna’s cheeks reddened a bit and she looked down. Arie watched for a moment before quietly excusing herself and heading back to her seat in the stands. Luna could handle herself, and a weakling mage like her probably wouldn’t be able to do squat against those two.

@Joshua Tamashii
Wow. Thats a lot of notifications I just received XD

I woke up to four

That's the most I've ever had.
Yay. I posted.

Just wish I could include more characters in it x.x

If Jaw-shwa doesn't reply by the next time I do I'll go ahead and throw Luna in though.
Grant Vale -- Grand Magic Games Event
The blood wizard grinned as he approached the skinny transformation Wizard, amused by their jokes. ”Heh, picking on someone my own ‘size’ is about as entertaining as picking on someone like you. You’re just in my way to victory, kiddo.” He spun the knife in his hand once before cutting his other hand with it, leaving that dark red sheen on both hands. He didn’t have the advantage of having killing something before the fight this time, but he doubted he would need it.

As Karn launched rocks at him, they would likely notice a magic circle appearing in his right eye just before Grant expertly avoids most of the rocks, and as Karn charged forward, the blood mage dug his heels into the ground, and would barely flinch at the strike towards his chin. His sinister smile would only grow deeper as Karn landed and launched a kick towards his back. With inhuman speed, Grant avoided the strike, and grabbed Karn’s leg with his left hand, keeping it held out. His grip was firm and positioned well enough to keep his opponent from immediately using it to their advantage.

”Funny. At first you seemed hesitant to engage me at close range, like you knew my abilities. Which makes sense, as I did have that fight with Maddox. But then you proceed to attack me at close range. Odd.” He’d chuckle, his grip on Karn’s leg seemingly unshakeable. ”Oh well, I’ll give you credit for being fast, though. Link bodies A magic circle would appear on Karn’s leg, and after a moment Grant would grimace, his grip relaxing slightly. This would only last for a second, after which he’d attempt to throw Karn away, towards the center of the arena, had the boy not already escaped his weakened grip.

Once he had finished this task, Grant seemed to become quickly disinterested in the blonde individual, though he would still say one more thing to them. ”Now, if you stay out of my way, and don’t lose to someone else, you might make it to second place.” He’d walk towards the next contestant he thought he could handle, that Malice girl from Pirate Lord looked like a good target. He would seem to ignore Karn for the time being, but chances were he was ready to catch another attack from the tiny mage. His leverage over Penny had been acquired, and it would take a lot to get him to give that up. Though, he wondered, how could a little guy like him be in so much pain?

Of course, if Grant enjoyed other’s suffering any less, he would’ve at least used his blood magic to make Karn’s existence temporarily less unpleasant.
