I'm currently looking for new partners. I've got a few ideas at the moment, mainly those of either Sci-Fi or Fantasy. For these, I am looking to play either a beast, monster, or alien kind of character - either against a human character, or with another nonhuman in a world of nonhuman characters!
These are mostly starts to an idea - a story and world to build up upon together!
Long past the era of interstellar travel, what was once grand wonders have turned into magic, both in grander ignorance, and in the unexplainable triumphing over the explained. In a far-off star, a collection of worlds remains connected, with the old pioneers calling each rock their ancestral home, past the scale of each one's own ease of survival.
Amongst each, lies the lush ocean world of Khylakar, home to one of the oldest, powerful family of Zyzali, or dragonfolk, reigning over the ruins which lay on the bones of an old empire.
This family, however, is no stranger to the woes of the modern day - where the old blood of the past bubbles up to cleanse all delusions of lasting peace. Yet again, target of killers from another world - restarting yet another cycle.
A mostly political intrigue plot involving an old family of Dragonfolk, in an interplanetary conflict, involving magic and ancient grudges. A sword-and-blaster adventure, swashbuckling through different worlds made of different aliens.
Your clan has always been impoverished, living on scraps on the inhospitable slices granted to you - already on an inhospitable world. Hunting beasts, all for nothing but survival, against their wrath, and for the food and wealth they provide, is about all you know.
Something strange starts to happen, though...your clanmates, your family, they all start to act different, act strange, as well as you start to begin to feel something different within yourself. Soon, less so vague, a voice speaks to you, urging you towards something sleeping below the ground, where your clan makes their ground...
Many suspect you, some suspect others, scrutinizing eyes over everyone under a once tightly knit peoples. You'll have to find out the source of this disturbance...either something to be stopped, to bring things back to normal - or perhaps, something different to change the fates of your people...
A more fantasy one, but still consisting of alien folk, dealing with a strange, magical disturbance all about their home, such that will open them further to the world as it starts to break containment of their hellish home. This is one that can also be combined with the one above.
You're a gryphon, hatched into a brood facing troubling times. In a fight for survival, in a world filled with other mythical, strange creatures like you, you're all but another piece in the perpetual chaos which has created your strange combination of avian and feline.
Yet, as much as Gryphon fights against foes like Dragon, Chimera and Kirin, Grpyons, more than anything, choose to fight amongst each other.
The current reign of the Sovereigns, dual matriarchs who rule over dual domains, question each other's purpose in the matrimony of power, a soon divorce arising. By the luck of your brood, or the direction of your gizzard - it's soon time for you to choose who you fly beside, as dragons hungrily watch from the distance.
A more adventure, military focused one. We both play Gryphon soldiers embroiled in a larger conflict between the Gryphon domains. Spear and talon meet in a fight, in shadow of a larger foe, watching carefully as they tear at each other's flesh...
Hidden amongst distant canyons - lies a lone tribe of Avian-like people. Many years had passed - all but convinced they are the only ones left of their kind, hidden, never going past their home.
Despite great wings and plumes that met the colorfulness of the sky, the flock took it fit to stay put. All a matter of keeping safe - an outside world that was beyond their understanding. Instead, taking it to look inwards, keeping alive their traditions, and long knowledge of their history and achievements. A past that had a sharp contrast to the small, isolated tribe.
One day, two of them get a bit daring - traveling a bit farther than they should. Then, they're met with the reality of their surrounding world.
A plot involving avian people (think Rito or Aarakocra), despite their gift of flight, staying put where they have been for generations, for mysterious reasons. As two leave, they learn about the outside world - and perhaps to the reasons why their flock was as so - exposed directly to the dangers beyond. But with hope...a new opportunity, and a new life, beyond their cage.
This one's a rather simple one - I'm further open to any broader ideas involving a human paired with a nonhuman. (With me playing the nonhuman, ideally) This is one I enjoy especially, and so if you have an idea, we can possibly tie it in with any of the other ideas I have here.
My writing style goes from lit to semi-lit, depending mostly on the scene and context. However you prefer, I can adapt towards that.
Romance is usually present in my stories, but I don't purely write romance-focused ones.
If we can further play multiple characters in each prompt, that's also a huge plus.
I usually like to do an MxF character pairing, which I'll play whatever role, but of course, this can change if we have multiple characters.
Please DM if any of these interest you! I primarily RP on discord, so we can exchange contacts there.
Hello! I'm Warhawk, but I go by Buteo on this website. I'm always looking for new RP partners. (If I bump this, that does not mean I'm looking to replace you.) I RP mainly on Discord.
I usually like to RP mainly original worlds and plots, so I wouldn't go looking for fandom-related RPs with me. (With some exceptions, if I put it here, then I'm interested in it.) I am mainly looking for fantasy-related plots, so if you have a certain idea of your own and you think you and I may make good partners, go ahead and feel free to shoot it to me!
Things to know:
- I write semi-lit. My length varies based on what's going on narrative-wise. From two lines to pages of text. I try to meet what my partner and I think is appropriate.
- I will play any gender against any gender.
- I generally prefer to play characters with platonic relationships. I'm alright with romantic plots, when fitting of the characters, or from it developing naturally. But generally playing a pure romance is something I'm not interested in. Same goes for smut, I'm alright with RPing it, I'm not interested in a smut-based RP.
- That being said, be 18+ please.
- I enjoy playing multiple characters, in more of a sprawling world style of narrative. Characters we switch around with intertwined narratives.
- I'm a busy person, so I may not be able to always post as much as I'd like to. I work a lot, and have too many hobbies. If I'm not responding, poke me more. Similarly so, if you lose interest, and stop replying, I don't judge, though saying you'd like to end it or something's not working would be preferred.
Things I like:
Anthro or Beast Characters Medieval Fantasy Eastern-Inspired Fantasy Sci-Fantasy Dying Earth/Post-Post Apocalyptic Adventure plots War plots/Mercenary plots Dark Fantasy Western-inspired plots. (Not so much cowboys, but more vagrants in a dangerous land with a lot of revenge, greed and violence)
Prompts:
These are ideas based on worlds or characters I have. They can be changed to fit whatever works for both of us.

Peace was well known to the skies for the length of the Empire, but as its original purpose is forgotten, so its power begins to wane.
The winged folk perch upon the precipice of change, where our gaze meets the horizon of cataclysm. The Locusts had left the frontiers sundered and desolate, and beyond those borders, came invaders and raiders. The Kalkordian Empire was well to re-enter its period of founding, upon fire and injustice, except, its death looming upon its pressures.
That was when from the depths, creatures unseen beyond legends were called to bring the final strike.
The end times are upon the skies, but it is well known a birdfolk will never lose their sense of stubbornness, against a cruel wind.
Hi, I'm Buteo/Warhawk, and I'm looking for partners in a 1x1 in my own fantasy world. This is primarily a fantasy world focusing on avian characters, akin to Aarakocra or Rito. (Generally centered around this species, but I may allow a different humanoid or beast race depending on circumstance) The story follows characters within the backdrop of what seems to be an unfolding apocalypse - the shifting of a peaceful era, to one of war.
The Kalkordian Empire had been the keeper of peace across the known world for multiple centuries, until forces unknown to the common citizen brought it to heel, and the new era of cataclysm bearing down upon its sphere.
The story will focus on characters, finding themselves in significant roles throughout this crisis, either by their own will, or unwittingly. The tone is generally dark, but leaning still towards high fantasy, with emphasis of elements based on magical horror, as well as struggle against a changing world.
Generally I write semi-lit, one paragraph to multiple paragraphs. I like focusing on both wide-sweeping adventure and character development, as well as using multiple characters. World is also an important aspect for me. I am open to romantic plots, but ultimately larger plot comes before that.
Below are a couple of prompts for characters that I would play. I like MxF pairings the most, but I am also opening to playing any character.
The Disavowed
"The Crow" best knows himself, because for what little he knows of himself, he is only sure that it is what he is. Even if he does have reason to doubt that.
He's an individual many would be somewhat fearful to be around. His demeanor tends to be somewhat cold, as well as his appearance is somewhat haggard and scarred.
Yet, for what is left of Crow, he was never once a bad person. Perhaps a victim to something out of his control, or somebody who came into their situation. Something more behind his amnesia, and the memories all so slowly coming back...
Memories, however, he has hardly any time to dwell upon, as he is hunted by many who believe him to be the cause of their worries, and many of the deaths your character may have witnessed over the course of the changing times...
(A plot that revolves primarily around dark magic, as well as running from a world that seems to want you dead)
Silver For The Moon
"Faye" is a hawklike birdfolk, black-feathered, and befitting his origin, he is a mercenary of a dying tradition. A master of two aerial scimitars, and knives. Perhaps not unique in a world of scoundrels, he is known for his practicality and brutality - but his comes from a deep sense of heritage he keeps, rather than merely realization. A tribal creed he uses in his work.
Yet, in the Empire, he seems to be the only one of that said tribe, an obscure peoples nobody had seen before, which so blends him into the background of every other mercenary. If it were not for the company he was attached to, were so feared as they were.
The Wyrms have fought for many sides across the frontiers and fiefdoms of the Empire, and beyond for its enemies, or for the sake of Kalkordia. A company many would better away with...were it not for a much more violent interruption catching the company.
Now, shaken and confused, Faye and The Wyrms receive a new client, for a job that is much more than blood for silver.
(A plot about pushing against the end, with a company equally full of characters who develop into redemption, or tragedy.)
An Imperial Affair
A mere finch of a birdfolk, Iri seems unassuming, yet he carries with himself importance in the Empire known only to those around him. A member of the Daggerclaws, the Emperor's personal guard and spy cadre, he's known for a sense of loyalty and dedication, as well as a personable nature to those allowed to get close enough beyond his duties. A 'fixer' with a good sword always by his side, willing to let someone underestimate.
A companion with him, Iri is sent on a mission to understand reports of distress, and entire battalions of the Empire's army going missing, perhaps dead. What they uncover, is only the beginning of something larger...something that now lies within their talons, unwittingly...
(A plot involving a mixture of adventure and political intrigue - characters with direct connections and interests within the Empire, witnessing its largest threat emerge.)
Of course, I have a lot more ideas for both characters, plots, and prompts, and if you have your own, I'd be happy to hear them!
If you're interested, please feel free to DM me. I primarily write on discord, so that is what I expect, but let me know if you wish to write on this website or elsewhere.
Buteo, also known by other bird names, I'm a guy who likes birbs.
Other than RP, I like metal, playing instruments, and motorcycles.
