A knock reverberated through the door, despite the fact that the entrance had been left open for the aromas of homecooked--or as close to homecooked one could get away from home--breakfast to make their way down the hall. Having been presented with this particular dilemma of options Do I just walk in? Man that seems kinda rude... Liam had elected to default back on the safe side of things. Still, the smell of fresh-cooked food was far to enticing to ignore entirely. It was the very same reason his pace had quickened as he approached the apartment, a bounce in his step that proceeded the grin spreading across his face.

Mr. Highwind was a thoughtful person, for sure.

"Hey'all," Liam grinned from the doorway, addressing the occupants of the apartment with a bright expression that was mainstay for the demigod. He had one foot just outside the threshold, and a hand on the doorframe as if unsure if he should enter or not.

"Sorry I'm late," he continued, giving a small shrug of embarrassment, glancing over to address Jonas specifically for a moment, "Got your text in the middle of a set, made my way here as fast as I could though!"

Liam wasn't one to make excuses, even so his story appeared to check out just fine, all things considered. Especially given the tanktop and gymshorts currently making up his early morning attire while a pair of headphones hung from his neck. Of course, that was without mentioning the matted condition of his blonde hair, nor the half-full water bottle that he had lazily held slung over his shoulder with his free hand. As far as appearances went, Liam's current state was a good indicator for how he had spent the early morning hours.

After the rather... frustrating events of the prior night Liam had taken it upon himself to deal with it the best way he knew how. A night of sleeplessness was helping no one, least of all him. With that in mind he had spent the better part of the early morning hours at the campus' gym, figuring as per usual for him that restlessness was best put to good use by actually putting it to use. A workout offered a more productive way of coping, one that he could, in the worst case scenario, feel somewhat accomplished at the end of. A feeling that was rather noticeably lacking from the conclusion of the skirmish that had occurred of the night before.

The lack of any real closure, and the abruptness with which it had ended left a pit in his stomach, it was almost worse than them actually losing the fight. Even if that may have implied more than just losing a brawl. Why the staff felt the need to intervene was beyond his understanding, Liam had a really good feeling about their chances. It was a sight to witness his peers working together so closely to defeat a foreign threat to their home away from home. If the situation hadn't been so dire, he might've actually admitted to himself that he had been enjoying himself.

Instead, they got reprimanded, and to top it off were forbidden to even speak about the entire thing.

All in all, not a great look.

"Smells great!"

Cold steel met inky black flesh with divine might and singular intent, Jonas' strike carrying such an intensity that appeared to fill the sky with a blinding cerulean glow. The Shadow's grotesque contour was put in sharp relief, a brief second of illumination that made its oily black look waxy and artificial. Being thrust into a radiance so unlike the entity's natural form did nothing but give it an even more outlandish appearance.

It was then, the sky itself lit from the eerie brilliance and combatants' vision clearing, that the source of the sudden flash was shown. Or heard, in this case, with the thumping report of air abruptly ionizing slamming into the illuminated scenery around.

The thunderous clap was preceded by Liam's electric arrival.

So focused on the immediate threat of fully-automatic immolation being dealt out by the Athenian woman, and even more on the aspect of war cleaving his way through its dark sinew, the beast had no chance to defend against the newcomer's own blinding assault.

Liam had, to his credit, made towards the site of the unexpected battle once it was clear the sounds emanating were more than just a party, arriving just in time to see the ghastly form take shape. It was now though, both Jonas and Rebekah's attacks taking the majority of the Shadow's attention away from the others around in their intensity, that Liam began to move. The tear in the fabric of reality, blacker than the ghastly apparition itself, ripping into existence behind it only served to solidify the demigod's course of action.

This monster had to be put down now. This was their best opportunity, maybe their only given the monster's foreboding speech.

Liam had taken a running start. Meters back from the action, he was far enough away for this to seem like a futile approach to foe that was already on the back foot. Even so, bluish energy danced across his body, sparks of power tracing lines around him and forcing his hair to stand on end.

Three more strides and Liam was in a full sprint, moving at a prodigious clip towards his target. Still not fast enough.

It was then that his right foot left the ground, followed closely by his left. The electricity billowing around him clung to the earth from the soles of his feet in incandescent filaments, before breaking off one by one as launched himself upward.

An outstretched hand pointed towards his destination while Liam's right foot continued to rise, leg extending out with clear intent. A surge, and the demigod's motion was for a moment, no longer completely physical.

Thus the sudden lightning strike, in this case a literal strike, as the Son of Zeus rode the lightning to complete his attack. If all went well Liam's kick would firmly plant his foot squarely in the center of the Shadow's vaguely human body, just above where Jonas' staggering blow was landing. The demigod's own strength augmented by the force of the electric javelin of power that carried him there, adding to the assault attempting to push the monster into the void behind.

Liam himself elected to push off of the beast after the blow, launching himself far enough back to avoid retaliation. As he landed on the ground, consciously placing himself behind Rebekah so as to not obstruct her firing solution, the last bit of light faded from the area and the thunderclap became a low rumble as it reverberated away.

The smell of ozone filled the air, and the edges of his tee were singed, but with some luck, the one extra attack had pushed the Shadow over the edge.

CS in the works, should be up this weekend at the latest.
Color me interested, i'll chill with zeus' son if that's all good.

Despite her longer strides, Nova had to actually focus on keeping up with her fellow pilot, so as not to lose her in the semi-organized chaos that filled the hangar at the moment. Ayane had taken a moment to consult a pad, before taking off with purpose towards one of of the facility. The constant buzz of activity around her was almost comforting, it reminded her of being back home on base when fighters were being scrambled for an exercise. The hum of machinery and voices, mixed with the roar of engines firing up and the constant radio chatter going over comms. Though it was more than a bit different now, for one the noise didn't fall away as the hangar doors were opened, nor was she clad in an airtight flight suit.

Still, it was at least something familiar.

Following Ayane towards the back of the hangar brought them into a storage area, which was mostly empty in stark contrast to the hangar proper. There, loaded onto the back of a transport, was the unmistakable shape of an Arsenal Walker. Nova's heartrate spiked for an instant, as a pang of excitement shot through her chest. It wasn't her Walker, sure, but it didn't stop the sense of anticipation. Her own would be coming in soon, just like this, she was sure of it.

"Oh, right, of course," the Lunar pilot replied, moving forward to assist in undoing the fasteners keeping the tarp down.
