Cursed Name: Jimmy Benton
Age: 19
Appearance:Standing at 5'8", Jimmy is quite small for someone his age. He's thin but muscular, with brown hair that sometimes gets long enough to curl around his ears. He has dark blue eyes, a small gold hoop in his right ear, and usually a mischievious look on his face. He's usually found in flannels, button downs or simple cotton fabric clothing in neutral and darker colors of red, blue, and black. He usually peairs this off with work boots or combat books.
Pre-Curse Occupation:Treasure Hunter turned Soldier
Post-Curse Occupation:Officer-in-Training at the Sheriff's station
World Origin:Enchanted Forest
Family Members:Sarah Hawkins (Mother)
Leland Hawkins (Father)
Magic User?:No
Personality:Jimmy is very adventurous, rebellious, and caring. He has a sort of bay boy reputation, despite working for the law of the town, he's known to pull pranks and commit small acts of completely legal but yet totally fun "story making moments" as he calls them, around the town. He just enjoys having fun. Jimmy is also very brave, selfless, strong-willed, independent, and loyal to his allies. He is also friendly and willing to help strangers, especially if they are injured or lost. Jimmy is also very intelligent for a lad of his age; so intelligent that he is very skilled in technicians and mechanics and was able to build his own functioning carriage when he was eight years old. He is also pragmatic and logical, more than people give him credit for. Despite his great intelligence and pragmatism, he can do very stupid and reckless things, but he usually tries to keep them well within the bounds of the law. At first, Jimmy was quite spoiled, broody and pessimistic, but as he got older, he became much more mature, responsible and optimistic about life. He is also fun-loving, jokey, sarcastic, mischievous, charismatic, and very dreamy. He is also usually honest, yet quite private, and hardly ever lies; he only lies if he feels that he really has to. Jimmy can also be very sweet, innocent and polite, and cares greatly for his allies and will protect and defend them from anything and anyone. Jimmy is also very forgiving.
Ultimately, even with his few flaws and his bad-boy exterior, Jimmy has got a heart of gold and refuses to embrace the typical greedy and ruthless pirate life like his pirate enemies, especially his nemesis Scroop, who is the exact opposite in personality to Jimmy.
Backstory:Pre-Curse: After his father abandoned he and his mother when Jim was born, he was raised in a small tavern that his mother helped run to pay for the small farm they owned just down the road. Being raised in the Enchanted Forest, Jim knew about magic from a young age, but his mother always taught him the cardinal rule: "Magic always comes with a price". As he grew up he often would take the carriage he built and do deliveries for his mother to help out, and in his free time he's wander the various parts of the Enchanted Forest (never straying too far from home), having various adventures. One day, he discovered a cave, and inside the cave was a small chest. Inside that chest was a map, a map to a place called Treasure Island.
Thinking that this would be a blessing to their family, Jim embarked on a life-changing adventure, accompanied by Dr. Doppler, who he met at the docks as he was trying to secure passage. Jim was assigned as a cabin boy for John Silver, the ship's cook. At first, Jim did not trust him because Silver drove him crazy with chores, and always seemed gruff and cold. But as the voyage's time passed, Jim and Silver had a father-son relationship, which Jim never had. Along the trip he also made friends in Benjamin (Benny) Navini, who for a young man in his early twenties knew the Enchanted Forest like the back of his hand.
Captain Amelia, someone he always looked up to, was always stern with him. But in the end, Jim like's to think he won her over too. After the treasure hunt was successful, Jim went on to become a highly commemorated soldier in the Second Ogre's War and later even worked personally for Prince Eric's royal guard.
Post-Curse:Jimmy spends most of his time working for the local police force under the very watchful eye of the sheriff, Elliot Princeton. When he's not doing noble police work, he can often be found hanging around the local hot spots in town such as Granny's, the ice cream parlor, or the docks. His one bedroom apartment, which is actually located upstairs from Granny's. is small and simply designed. But he does spend quite a bit of time there, watching television or playing video games.
