If you're not sure what to post, you could have Jon catch Conner as he is falling and then rush to catch Kara as well. Then he can set them down somewhere safe and go to help Raven with Black Adam.

As Black Adam dove at Raven, shadowy tendrils shot out and wrapped around his arms and legs, attempting to hold him still in midair. A moment later, her Soul-Self hit him dead-on with an eldritch blast from its eyes, causing the villain’s head to bend backwards. He brought it back forward again, his lips curling into a sinister grin.

“I sense a great power deep within you! One you desperately hope to keep at bay! No more holding back! Let’s see what you’re really made of!” His eyes began to glow as a crackling aura suddenly burst to life around him. His yellow lightning now turned a bright blue, signifying he was now using his full power. He shot out bolts in every direction, shattering the tendrils that were holding him. He then lunged forward and fired a double-handed electric blast at the Soul-Self barrier protecting Raven, causing it to slightly flicker and weaken. He started zooming around in the air almost as fast as a speedster, throwing flurries of lightning-charged punches all around the astral hand encasing the young heroine.

Meanwhile down below, Shimmer shrieked out as she was hit by Static’s attack and dropped to the ground, unconscious. Immediately following that was the sound of tech being fried as Gizmo’s flying mech pod short-circuited and slammed into the ground, smoking. The young villain jumped out and scrambled to get away as Mammoth roared and charged the teen hero.

Inside Psimon’s mind, he chuckled as he found himself in the bunk room from the show Squid Game. Interesting… I was not expecting that. It won’t take me very long to break out of this illusion, but there isn’t time for that right now. The others will no doubt be felled before I am able to free myself… he thought to himself. He then closed his eyes within his mindscape and managed to send out a telepathic message to all his allies within range, both seen and unseen. Plan A has failed. Proceed to Plan B with utmost haste…

D&D Isekai: Render Unto Them A New World

I didn't have a WIP map yet, but I had been toying with the idea of just making it a fantasy version of Earth so that we could use Google Maps for travel times and geography and stuff and then use real-world mythologies and kingdoms to an extent. Greek Gods, Norse Gods, Egyptian Gods, etc. As for the nations, I was thinking of things like a version of the Roman Empire that is modeled after the Targaryens in Old Valyria and has Dragonborn citizens as the ruling elite; Scotland as a Dwarf kingdom; Ireland as a Wood Elf kingdom with Druids as the ruling class; England and Wales as joint High Elf/Human kingdoms; America as an open land with the different states belonging to different races (Humans control the New England states, Elves control the Pacific Northwest, Dwarves control the Rocky Mountains, etc); Humans, Dwarves, Half-Orcs, and Goliaths control Scandinavia with Barbarians/Vikings as the ruling class; Half-Giant Fighters and Barbarians control Sparta, etc.

Since I won't be very involved in the RP (if at all), it's up to you guys what you want to do, but if you want to go the route mentioned above, I will at least flesh out the world and the lore some to help you guys out. I can also still write the intro post where everyone ends up in the new world.

As Black Adam gripped Supergirl’s throat, they continued to fly up higher, Scarlet Beacon trailing close behind. He noticed her eyes begin to glow red in preparation for a heat vision attack, and right as she unleashed it, he spun her around so that the rays hit Conner instead, who had just caught up to them.

“Ah!” the boy screamed out, falling a few feet in the sky before he caught himself again. Black Adam then used his control of Kara’s blood to put pressure on the glands in the back of her eyes that triggered her heat vision, causing her to blast Scarlet Beacon a second time at full power. He yelped out again and began rocketing towards the ground, unconscious.

Meanwhile on the ground, Nightwing responded to Beast Boy. “No, you should wait until we can send multiple people down there. If one person goes against them alone, Psimon would be free to put someone in a Mind Trap without worry of anyone attacking his own body. Psychics like him should always be dealt with by larger groups. That is - whoa! Bout time you made an appearance!”

Dick chuckled and looked up as he saw Raven’s Soul-Self appear, the giant foot coming down. The asphalt was already weakened from the Shazam blast earlier, and now it cracked out in every direction, causing the two speedsters to skid to a stop before hitting the now-uneven surface. This gave Kid Flash the perfect opening to kick Reverse-Flash’s leg hard enough to break his bone so that he couldn’t run anymore.

“Arrghh! You little shit!” Thawne growled as he fell to one knee.

“What? You’ll heal in no-time. Preferably after you’re back in prison! Nighty-night!” Wally then unleashed a flurry of rapid-fire punches to the villain’s face that caused him to drop down, unconscious.

Back up in the sky, Black Adam was startled for a moment as Raven’s giant Soul-Self hand attempted to smack him, but he flung Supergirl in the way so it got her instead. The impact sent her flying towards a park down the street. Astral projection of some kind? That means the caster must be nearby… the villain thought to himself as he scanned the area.

“Aha! I found you!” he cried out maniacally as he spotted a young girl on the roof of the Hall of Justice - or what was left of it. He immediately dove out of the sky towards her, powering up lightning blasts in each hand as he dodged subsequent swipes of her Soul-Self.

Down in the tunnel underneath the Hall, the four other villains stood before a high-tech vault door of some kind, arguing with each other as they tried to figure out how to get inside.

“I told you, it’s resistant to my powers,” Shimmer was explaining in an irritated tone. “Whatever this material is, I can’t transmute it.”

“Well none of my tech is working either,” Gizmo whined.

“And my knuckles still hurt from trying to smash it,” added Mammoth.

“Well, we’ve got to figure out something,” Psimon groaned, hands on his temples. “I’m just here to back you up. It’s your job to find a way in there!”

The four of them continued bickering when suddenly a shadowy portal appeared and Static stepped out. The new arrival gave a bit of a long-winded speech and then fired a blast of electricity which subsequently turned into butterflies.

“Foolish boy,” Psimon laughed, walking towards him. The teen hero suddenly found that he could not move at all - he was frozen in place. “Here’s a bit of advice for the future. One - don’t ever go up against a psychic on your own. With no one down here to back you up and divide my attention, I can focus entirely on you. And two - if you do go up against someone like me all by your lonesome, attack right away. Your little speech gave me ample time to reach into your mind and trap you in an illusion, so that when you finally did attack, it was only a figment of your imagination. You see, I don’t need to ‘tell you what to do,’ I just need to preoccupy you for a bit!”

Suddenly, the world around Static cracked away like broken glass, and he found himself standing on a gameshow stage with people laughing. Their hysteria became downright frightening as they began ripping away their flesh, revealing skeletons with bell-shaped skulls. The world cracked away yet again and the teen was now in some kind of demonic hellscape, the laughter growing more disturbing, people banging their bell-skulls together, eerie chimes filling the air, monsters climbing out of the ground, etc.

Back in the real world, Static had fallen to the ground, twitching and seizing as his eyes stared wide-open at the ceiling, his mouth agape in a silent shriek. Psimon stood over him, maintaining the illusion while the other three continued trying to access the vault.

D&D Isekai: Render Unto Them A New World

I think the rotating GM idea is great, but that would ultimately be for you all to decide. I just don't see myself having enough time to participate, so I probably won't be very involved in the RP if at all. Right now, in my current position, I can check the site between calls, but once I transition into full time training for the new role, I will be attending the class via Zoom and won't be able to post at all during the day. My full attention will be required for the entire shift.

I'm wondering if it might be best to hand over GMing duties to one of you guys. As previously mentioned, I'm going to have less free time than I initially thought when I started this interest check three weeks ago because since then I've been offered a much higher paying position. It's a financial services role for a multinational bank and there are a lot of systems and terms and policies to learn (six weeks of training), and I feel like my posting rate would be too slow to keep up with both this and my Teen Titans RP. Does anyone want to take over as GM?

Virgil is very outspoken, but also very protective of his own energy and doesn't try to get too out of his own comfort his zones. However he always looks out for the little guys and was like that even before he got his powers. He only started getting bullied because he was stepping up for someone else. After receiving his powers he felt like he carried the world on his shoulders. Now it was his job to save it, especially his home of Dakota City. There was a whole group of Bang Babies and for a while it seemed like he was the only good one, but he never stopped believing that at everyone's core was goodness. They just sometimes needed different outside factors to bring it out. He became that for his city.

He leaps first into situations and lets his brain catch up to his actions. He can be stubborn at times as he tends to think he knows best, but his intentions are always pure.

Powers & Abilities

Bang Baby Physiology: Static's physiology was altered by a mutant-genetic explosion which caused him to adapt unusual powers. Static's body itself can generate raw electrical energy, which he has learned to manipulate, control and enhance.
Electrokinesis: Static is able to generate electrical energy from his body that he has learned to manipulate in a variety of ways. By focusing the lightning in his hands, Static is able to enhance his strikes. He even, from a distance, just made eye-contact with another and sent a instantaneous electrical charge into them to incapacitate them, without firing an actual bolt of electricity.
Electro-Blast: Static is able to focus his energy to project powerful bolts and arcs of lightning. He is able to generate blasts powerful enough to nearly kill a person and even stagger powerful aliens though he hasn't tried it against a Kryptonian or Martian yet. He's been curious about how he stacks to them.
Electromagnetism: Due to his electrical abilities, Static is able to manipulate magnetism for a variety or purposes. He can use his electricity to magnetize and demagnetize metal objects at will. Static was able to stop a round of bullets fired at him, due to his electrical aura magnetizing them, stopping them in their tracks. He was also able to change the magnetic properties of the metal in a group of police officer's guns, launching them hundreds of feet into the air. His magnetic powers allow him to flip a moving van and then lift it from the ground.
Electromagnetic Fields: Static is able to use his energy to create electromagnetic fields. When battling Hotstreak, Static was able to generate a massive electromagnetic field that was able to smother Hotstreak's fire, by ionizing the oxygen surrounding it. Static's force fields are strong enough to absorb several energy blasts.
Static Cling: Static can magnetize surfaces with his electricity, allowing him to adhere himself to surfaces and other objects.
Flight: Static can fly by riding metallic objects.

Talents & Skills

Genius Level Intellect
Mechanical Engineering: When he was seven years old, Virgil built a radio out of scrap parts he found from the garbage.
Science: Virgil loves science of any kind really, but he especially excels when it comes to computers and other technology. It's like the wires just speak to him.
Tactical Analysis: He's able to come up with tactics mid battle on the fly.
Martial Arts: Static is a skilled fighter, having received martial arts training from his father. He's nowhere near on the level as a member of the Bat Family or even a Master Martial Artist. He's just skilled and can easily adapt.
Sewing: His mom taught him how to sew and after becoming a hero it came in handy.

Biography

Virgil's story starts with a Bang. Quite literally. He got into some trouble with some gang members at school after defending a kid from being bullied. They told him to meet them in this big war at the docks. He may not be a member of any gang, but all beef was about to be settled there. He didn't want to show, but he felt like he had no choice. In hindsight he was kind of glad that he did. He couldn't have stopped what happened, but if he wasn't there Dakota City wouldn't have their very own here, STATIC. He helped cleaned up the city after the incident. Helped people feel safe while also trying to rehabilitate the people he fought. Most of them were only kids like him. He had to believe that they still had a chance at a future in the other direction. Sometimes he was right. Other times he wasn't, but that never stopped him from fighting the good fight.

After a while of doing his solo act he met his hero Black Lightning and he became his mentor. They teamed up every now and then, having their own homes to protect but he was always glad he could count on him when he needed him. The summer after meeting Black Lightning Static decided to fly around the country to see if he could meet other heroes, especially ones around his age. He had a few team ups and a certain Bat wasn't too fond of him interfering on his turf, but Virgil swears he gave him a compliment before he kicked him out of the Batcave. That's right, Virgil saw the Batcave.

After that summer ended life returned to normal until out of the blue Black Lightning invited him to the 10 Year Anniversary Justice League Gala. He didn't care about the Gala, but there was no way he was going to turn this down.

Personality

Rachel is very shy and reserved and doesn't like getting close to people. Mostly because people feel too much and they're so loud with their feelings. It distracts her from trying to contain her own. She honestly just wishes she could live a normal life. No powers. No inner darkness to control and certainly no demonic father hellbent on destroying the universe. She just wished she could live in a cottage with a cat and a personal library with books she took home from the antique bookstore she ran. Why couldn't life be so simple? Although she wishes she didn't have the life she did, she does and it came with the responsibility to help others. Even at the cost of yourself. At least that's what she's been learning more recently.

Powers & Abilities

Human-Demon Hybrid: As the half-demon daughter of the inter-dimensional demon Trigon, Raven is very powerful and Raven has a host of unique abilities. It was noted by her father Trigon that she only uses a small potential of her power, and if she lets out her full inner demon, she may reach near-infinite power, but what dad doesn't think the best of his little girl?
Astral Projection: Through the use of her Soul-Self, Raven can project her consciousness for therapeutic purposes (to aid in her own meditation, or to help calm an agitated ally), or for offensive attacks, rendering her enemies unconscious.
Soul-Self: Raven can manifest her "Soul-Self" through astral projection. It normally takes the form of either her human shape or a giant raven.
Darkness Manipulation: Raven can generate, shape and manipulate darkness from her Soul Self and project it forward to attack her enemies.
Energy Construct Creation: Raven can create constructs out of darkness.
Psychokinesis: Using her Soul-Self, Raven can telekinetically manipulate, arrange and alter matter and generate energy at the atomic level.
Flight: Raven can levitate off the ground and fly, without visible projection of her dark energy as is shown when she uses telekinesis.
Intangibility: Using her dark powers and abilities, she melts into walls and floors, sometimes in the form of a giant black raven (which is the form her Soul-Self usually takes on).
Teleportation: Raven can convert her physical body into her Soul-Self and carry or teleport herself and others across vast distances.
Hell Fire Manipulation: Raven can generate and manipulate the cursed flames of Hell. The color of the flames varies, but may be black, blue, white, red, or the normal shades of fire, although probably in some way noticeably unusual. Sometimes, the flames are not generated, but instead summoned from the depths of Hell itself. She subconsciously locked this ability as she feels as it relies too much on her demonic heritage rather than her own natural magic.
Empathy: Raven can sense the feelings of others with no filter. She constantly feels all the emotions of others and must learn to control them or they will overwhelm her.
Emotion Negation: She can also use her empathic abilities to steal emotions from others, rendering them emotionally "numb".
Empathic Healing: She can absorb the pain of others into her own body in order to rapidly heal others from any physical injuries, as well as heal herself by going into a trance of emotional calm.
Empathic Precognition: She can receive precognitive flashes of the future when exposed to extreme emotion.
Psychic Link: By using her empathic-based powers, Raven can enter another person's mind allowing her to see, feel and hear what they encounter.
Psionics: Raven is able to read thoughts, project and broadcast her own thoughts, as well as scan and alter the memories of others.
Magic: Due to her demonic and mystical heritage, Raven can generate and control magical and mystical forces at will.
Dimensional Travel: Raven can travel to other planes of existence like Hell.
Force Field: Raven can generate a powerful force field.
Electrokinesis: She can control electricity through spells. The use of which drains her energy and mana.
Pyrokinesis: She can control and project normal flames through spells. The use of which drains her energy and mana.

Biography

Rachel's story is the story of darkness. A demon father needed a half-demon daughter to bring him into the world. He chose her mother as her vessel and so she was born. But her mother had different plans. She was going to screw Destiny and raise her daughter to fight the darkness that is her father while embracing her own. She raised her in the realm of Azarath until Trigron sent his demons to attack.

The Azarathians fought valiantly against the horde of demons, but to no avail. Trigon wanted his daughter and he was going to kill anyone that stood in his way. Before her mother was killed she opened a portal to their old home in Gotham. She pushed Rachel through and closed the portal behind her. Rachel was shocked when she turned around and saw people living in her old home. Of course. It had been so long. She disappeared into the darkness, likely convincing them the home was haunted.

Rachel wandered the streets of Gotham until she was discovered one night by the masked vigilante known as Batman. He was investigating a case of Dark Magic and she had been following the source. They met and she helped him solve the case. She told him her story and she could feel the pain he was constantly in. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. In some ways he was just like her. She didn't know if it was his good heart beneath all that pain or if he felt they were kindred spirits too, but he took her in that night and Raven Roth became Rachel Roth-Wayne. She still wasn't sure how she felt about Wayne, but she wanted to hold onto her mother a bit longer. So from that day forward she's been living in the Wayne Mansion and contrary to popular belief, and rumors spread throughout Gotham after seeing her on a few occult cases, she was not being trained to be another new Robin.
