Bryn nodded at Sana's acceptance of her offer and waited for her own drink after Sana was served and she raised a brow at Jim as he cleared his throat. She scowled as he spoke and she actually growled in her throat as she realised what it was that he meant. She could understand the need if Richard was here, but he wasn't. Sana had downed the drink before she could say or do anything and Bryn nodded at Sana's suggestion of food. Bryn took her beer from Jim after he'd poured it for her.

She started to look for somewhere to sit but then Jim made it worse by making a comment to Sana about seeing if she was allowed to even eat in peace and at her own pace. As Sana walked off towards the food station in as much rage as she had been before, Bryn leaned in close to Jim and glared at him. Her voice was steady and quiet. "Richard isn't here dumbass." As she leaned in she slipped a second, empty, glass up her massive sleeves and hid it in the fabric as she walked away.

She caught up with Sana at the carving station just as James was talking about his grits again. "Careful James, you keep talking about people trying your grits and I might need to get someone to keep an eye on you." She nudged Sana on the arm and gave a nod at James and the plate of food he was no doubt about to hand over to her. "Do you mind?" Bryn was still mad at Jim, he should have realised Richard would have been the first person up to the damn bar if he was going to show and the fact he hadn't should have been Jim's first clue that Richard wasn't here. There was no reason for Sana to be monitored if she wasn't with Richard. Sometimes the stupid rules of this place made Bryn miss the damn dead.

She then noticed Ashton making his way towards the food tables with the town guest, Thana. She had no strong desire to speak to Thana, despite her physical resemblance to her old friend. Bryn had made peace with Zoie's death a long time ago and despite how weird this was to deal with, Bryn had seen weirder. Keeping her attention on Sana, Bryn waited for her to grab her plate for her before finding a table in the corner, away from the main crowd, to sit.

His smile remained on his face as he heard Tatiana and Jack responding to his greetings and congratulations. He was ever so excited for them to discover their gifts that he'd left in their home once they returned but he knew that would likely not be until morning now. He'd need to catch up with them the next day to get their thoughts on them and to make sure they'd found them. He returned Tatiana's next hug as tightly as he could without messing up her beautiful dress or hairstyle before letting her go.

He gave an appraising nod of his head as Ashton gave over his gift to the newlyweds. It was something that Victor had anticipated Ashton would get them, considering his hobby of alcohol, and the look on Jack's face made it all the better to witness the exchange. A smile crept over his lips as the gratitude was passed between the two men.

Victor physically blanched when Ashton then so blatantly mentioned his friendship with Zoie to Thana. Not that he wanted to keep it secret or anything like that, he just had wanted to save Thana the discomfort of having to discuss her departed sister tonight which was why he did not follow his greeting his his sympathies or condolences. He knew all too well the discomfort of being asked about your intimate thoughts of a departed family member and was one of the things that made him most uncomfortable on a personal level so he would never have dreamed of doing the same to another person he knew, let alone a perfect stranger even if she did have a familiar face that he felt he could trust.

"Oh, ah, Captain there is no--" He stopped mid-sentence as Thana took his hand and shook it while giving her condolences to him in a rather blank tone. Surprise slipped across his face which quickly morphed into curiousity but he did his best to stamp it down. Tonight was not the night for this. "Non mon cher, you have my deepest condolences." He gave her hand a quick and gentle pat before releasing it from his grasp before it made her too uncomfortable. "But let us talk of something more welcoming for you instead..." His words trailed off as he waved at the next couple of people that were approaching their small crowd.

Victor was glad to see his other new world daughter approaching. As Kris walked over with Niesha he gave them both a bright smile. He was a little surprised that Kris did not greet him but overall thought little of it as the night was that of the newlyweds and their new guest. Everyone would be wanting to give congratulations and gifts and thanks and, of course, to meet their guest one-on-one. It was selfish to worry about something as trivial as a forgotten greeting tonight. Victor wondered where Tatiana was wandering off to and he was worried about the sad look that had crossed her face before she had excused herself but he knew that she would be okay on her.

He listened into the conversations and smiled idly then when Thana mentioned food but not wanting to leave Ashton's side, Victor thought it would be a good opportunity to save Ashton and Thana from the growing crowd. "Jack is correct Doctor Martin, James is the best cook in Newnan so you won't be left wanting." He then nodded as Ashton excused himself and Thana. Following suit, but not the couple, Victor moved to the food station and grabbed some things before heading over to the meat counter for the next Grady special.
I'll be posting tonight. I know I'm close with my timer again, sorry!

When Sana collided into him and sent him nearly flying over the chairs he stumbled into and landed his rear on, Richard nearly yelled after her in anger. He could feel all the lingering eyes watching them and he stared as Sana stormed off. Many, many emotions ran through Richard's mind then and he wondered if a single person still cared if he stuck around. Despite their heart-to-heart earlier, Richard doubted that Sana still wanted to come with him. He sat there, as everyone around him dispersed and headed off to either guard duty or the reception. His hands clenched over and over so many times that the nail marks were starting to look like they were always a part of his palms.

Richard had had no intention of trying to bed Thana, but he couldn't help but need to watch her. It was like watching an old memory but one you couldn't quite remember, one that looked just a little off so you stared some more to see why it was so wrong even though you knew the reason why. Not that it mattered, even if he told Sana as much he knew she'd still be pissed so what was the use? His face was hurting from how tense his muscles had been and still were. Taking a deep breath, Richard stood up and walked away from the wedding site and up towards his shared abode. He wasn't going to make an appearance at the reception, that would be best for everyone.

Silence was all that followed him as he walked along the street, the same direction as everyone else but then instead of turning right, he turned left, and made his way inside the Reject 'r' Us building. There was no door slamming, there was no cussing, there was no crashes or bangs. Richard grabbed his bag from beside the front door, went up to his room, quietly shut the door and closed the curtains at each window. He placed the bag at the foot of his bed and sat down beside it, his legs dangling over the edge as his feet lay flat on the ground.

He looked around the room and took in everything. The damage he'd made earlier and his efforts to tidy it. Everything was out of place and not the way it was supposed to be. But wasn't that just life? Nothing was how it was supposed to be anymore. He rested his head in his hands and ran his fingers through his hair, scratching the back of his head as he glanced over his shoulder at the sounds of festivities happening in the rec centre. He pursed his lips for a second, trying to stop the tremble that was starting to overcome him. He swore, after that day, he wouldn't cry again but it was too late. The moisture ran down his cheeks and his shoulders began to shake as all the emotion he had kept hidden inside began to pour out.

As she was sitting further back, Bryn noticed Sana and Dick's disagreement and she let out an audible sigh as she saw Sana storming off upset. Turning to Ciel and placing a gentle hand on his shoulder she smiled softly. "Are you okay on your own? I have to rush off and check on Sana and I don't want to make you rush. Come find me later if you're coming to the rec centre, otherwise I'll come visit you at home tomorrow okay?" She gave his hair a quick but gentle ruffle and then took off after Sana. She was very glad to be in her boots at this point.

Having lost sight of Sana when she was talking to Ciel, Bryn glanced around and saw everyone heading to the rec centre. Considering she couldn't recall Sana having eaten that morning she figured she'd have at least went to grab food and, at this stage, probably a drink. Making her way to the rec centre she moved inside and stopped in surprise. The place, all things considered, looked really good. She'd find Sana and check on her before finding the happy couple and congratulating them. Glancing around she saw almost everyone inside minus those that were taking their turn on guard duty. Figuring that going to where the food was laid out was a good start, Bryn moved over and felt her mouth watering as the smells assaulted her nostrils. She'd need to grab herself some food too.

As she moved over she spotted Sana over by the bar and she switched course and moved over to speak to her friend. "Sana. Drink together?" She raised a brow and held no emotion on her face as she spoke. They were few words but they meant so much coming from Bryn. She knew Sana would know that she wouldn't ask questions, she wouldn't want feelings, she just wanted to be with her and drink. Hopefully that was enough for Sana just now and if not, then Bryn would adjust to match. She just wanted Sana to be okay. Her silent treatment of Dick may need to end tonight but that would be decided later.

Victor could not be happier in that moment in time as he saw Jack and Tatiana leaving the wedding site hand in hand. He was about to follow after them but then he saw the exchange between Richard and Sana and he thinned his lips as he tried not to interfere. He had done all he could for Richard and as the man was unwilling to listen, Victor did not want to press his advice. He watched Richard, for a moment, as he sat on the seat he had fallen onto. He then took a breath and made his way away from the wedding site and then made a quick pit stop to the infirmary to check in on Medic.

Everything was in hand in the infirmary, just as Victor had imagined, and he promised to return shortly to let Medic away to enjoy the festivities for a bit. Victor was never much of a night owl anyway so was happy to take over the late shift before bed. He then left the building and made his way towards the reception. He looked around and saw Tatiana and Jack standing with Ash and Thana. He had not yet had a chance to say welcome to their new guest so this seemed like a perfect opportunity.

Smiling and saying hello to everyone he passed, Victor approached the group with a bright and wide smile. He quickly embraced Jack and then gave Tatiana a large hug. "My wonderful children, I am so happy and blessed to be sharing this day with you both. FΓ©licitations!" He released Tatiana and then turned to clap Ashton on the back as was his normal way of greeting for their leader. "Merci beaucoup Ashton, the ceremony was wonderful."

He then turned and gave a warm smile in Thana's direction and held his hand out to her for a handshake. "A pleasure to officially make your acquaintance Doctor Thana Martin. Welcome to Newnan, you picked a wondrous day to visit." There was familiarity behind his eyes but it was not something he could help, he had known Zoie the longest out of everyone here, save for Ryan, and he had no immediate intentions to treat Thana as if she were her sister but it was hard not to look at the face of someone who had helped to keep you alive and sane when you thought there was no way you could continue forward and not feel familiar with them.

Bryn couldn't help but give a small smile to Ciel as she realised that he hadn't noticed Jack was nearby. "He's over there, hun. At the altar, waiting to get married." A small smile lit up her face as she pulled Ciel into a quick, light hug. As everyone was getting settled down and into seats around them, Bryn decided to motion to Ciel (once she had let go of him of course) to come sit with her before the thing fully kicked off. Grabbing an empty seat nearest to Beatrice, Bryn sat down and patted the seat beside her for Ciel to sit down if he wished to. She didn't want to force him but she liked being around him. She gave a casual nod towards Beatrice, eyeing her up and down. Not bad. As everyone took their seats and Tatiana and Froggy came into view, Bryn felt herself staring a little more than was socially acceptable but as she was the bride and this was a wedding, the staring eyes were a little less noticeable among the crowd. It took a lot of control for Bryn to not smile in front of everyone.

As the ceremony took place she couldn't help but smile wider, it was a lovely thing to see and even if she hated feeling emotion at least this emotion was not one aimed towards herself. She could be happy at least a little, for Jack and Tatiana, whom she didn't mind as people but hadn't made attempts at getting to know. She looked forward to giving them their card later when things were a little, well probably not calmer, but maybe less crowded. Worst came to worst, she could just post it through their letterbox tomorrow. It would be safe enough in her cloak for now. Jack's vows were exactly as Bryn would have imagined them, gushing and loving - exactly how he was towards Tatiana. However, Tatiana's vows caused Bryn to really pause. Perhaps she had been too quick to assume that she was of a particular mindset, perhaps there could be room for a friendship to grow there.

As the rings were exchanged and Tatiana threw herself at Jack as was her customary excited greeting, Bryn clapped in congratulations of their new union. The smile was slightly more subdued but anyone very close by would notice the quirk at the corners of her mouth if they could tear their eyes away from the newlywed couple. Today was a very good day in a mess of many bad ones, it was a nice change of pace. Hopefully it lasted.

The widest smirk that could ever be imagined spread across his face as Sana made a comment that warmed his heart dearly, it was exactly what he was thinking and he loved that she had the balls to say it out loud. As Sana dragged him down into the seat beside her he let out a rush of air as if it had winded him, mostly for stupid comedic value not that he was any good at it, but because he hadn't expected to actually need to sit through the whole ceremony. More the fool him. "Here I thought I could dress up all fancy and ya'd tell me we could go hunker down at your place for the night." Following suit, he glanced around and took in the faces to know who to avoid for the rest of the night. Richard knew Froggy was gonna be giving the Birdie away so he didn't expect to see those two, Ash-hole was still MIA and Thana wasn't there. Not that he expected her to be but there was a piece of him that half hoped she would be... He shook the thought away as if it hadn't come. He felt his lip curling into a sneer as he saw Ryan, his hands balled in and out of fists as he imagined wrapping them around the bastard's neck. Richard still didn't know why he was kept the fuck around and he never would, even if Ash-hole told him the reasoning. In his eyes he didn't deserve to be breathing, that would never change. Everyone else seemed to be there too, with the exception of Black Thunder (thank you Lord), so that meant he had to avoid nearly everyone. Story of his life but it is what it is and it was no skin off his nose.

Richard was just getting comfortable when he heard Banjo Lips's usual half muttered, no one is really listening begs and pardons as he pushed his way to the front. Richard just rolled his eyes and tried not to let his presence piss him off anymore than he already was with Ryan being around and what with being at this stupid ass wedding that he didn't want to go to but was only going to because Sana told him to. The things he did for women was ridiculous. Thinking his day couldn't get much worse, Richard felt his jaw tighten when Ash-hole rolled onto the scene with a very (in comparison to earlier) dolled up, dark haired Thana on his arm. Richard felt the muscles on his arms flexing in anger as he watched Thana leaning in close to Ash's ear and then smirking after he responded to whatever she had said. His eyes narrowed and if looks could kill then Ash would be dead ten times over at least.

As Ash moved to the altar Richard's eyes remained on Thana. He couldn't help but see Zoie in her even if they had different hair. They both carried themselves like leaders and had the same air about them. Richard knew he shouldn't be comparing them but he couldn't help it. He then remembered that Sana was sitting right beside him so he tore his gaze away from Thana and looked at Sana. "Is it over yet?" He spoke through gritted teeth and did his best to not stare back towards the front row but he couldn't stop himself. He looked back over and frowned as he realised he had started staring again. When Froggy and Tatiana came onto the street and made it to the wedding site, Richard near hollered with joy because it meant they were finally closer to the end.

The ceremony was the same shit, different day kind of thing that you'd hear at any wedding from before, well at least it was until the Russian ballerina cannonball decided to make reality hit home hard for everyone listening. Yeah, they were all going to die. Don't need to bring your big day down because of it. Although he had to give her her dues, he could respect her ability to say the words out loud. Meant she wasn't delusional about the world despite being behind the walls for so long. As it all ended and the dancer jumped at the cop, Richard kept his glare full on his face and gave a non-committal clap of his hands along with the others as way of congratulations. It was all they were going to get from him at any rate. He leaned in towards Sana and whispered. "Please tell me the rest o' this shit is gonna be inside? My balls are feelin' tighter than a nun's asshole."

Walking Tatiana down the aisle to give her away was definitely his favourite memory of this new world and he could feel the emotions pressing in his chest as he handed her over to a man that was worthy of her and her love. He looked to Jack and said nothing, only giving the warmest of smiles and a look full of pride as he stepped away from the altar and took his seat in the front row across the aisle from James. Jack's vows warmed his heart and Tatiana's made him full of pride and worry. He was proud at how strong of a woman she had grown to be compared to the scared little woman he had met not even a full year ago but he worried that she would always think of the bad and inevitable instead of taking her life and living in the now. But it was not his place to say otherwise, he kept his beaming smile on his lips and gave them nothing but loving and supportive looks as the ceremony continued.

When the final words were said and Tatiana leaped at Jack, Victor let out a loud laugh and clapped as enthusiastically as he felt. To just witness such a happy and loving event was amazing to Victor, to be made part of it all and to see two people whom he cared for so much being so happy and in love? It was priceless to him. He glanced around at all the people who were here celebrating with two of his favourite people in Newnan. He was happy to see so many and was surprised to see others, mostly Richard and their newest arrival Thana. He was glad that she had felt comfortable enough despite her introduction to the community to join them on this wonderful day. He glanced over to her and smiled, hoping to catch her eye. If he did then he would mouth the words he was feeling "thank you for coming" and if not then he would simply voice them later. Today was a day full of thanks and the night would be no different.
