Daniela was confused. She had never seen nor heard of anyone either with that name or that had ice powers. "Sorry lady. Never heard that name nor am I aware of anyone here with ice powers if that's what you mean." She had barely finished getting the words out before the woman took off down the hall. "Just got here a little bit ago myself." She called after her before turning back to Veronica's door and shaking her head. She was so tempted to blast the door down...but that would most likely bring unwanted attention from the staff down on her.

"You win this round. But mark my words: This ISN'T over." She growled to herself as she took off down the hallway after the other woman.

Alright. So I'm a mutant. Now what?

This was the question that had been running through Victor's head for quite a while now as he tried to get used to his new surroundings. He had been here for several days now and so far he hadn't been able to do anything with his powers. He'd tried moving the ground with no luck. Granted he hadn't put much effort into it after what had happened at his parent's house but still, he had tried.

Alright. Pros and cons of this place. He thought as he laid on his back on the bed and stared at the ceiling
Pros: Good food, so far mostly good people, Bed is very comfortable and there were able to find some clothes for me. Not to mention the excellent internet strength.

Cons: Pretty sure I can't leave without being arrested, I'm not sure if I can cook my own food and I'm sure my brother can't visit here anytime soon. A few of the people here are a bit standoffish.

He looked over at the few possessions he had and pulled out his phone and checked to see if he had any messages or notifications from anyone he knew. Nothing. Nada. Nope. It seemed the moment people had found out he was a mutant he had been cut off from everyone he knew and loved. His brother was probably trying to get his phone reconnected or didn't have internet at the moment so silence from his was to be expected. But still, he wished his parents would at least call him once.

He began to dig through the bag again and hoped that he had brought his old Gameboy or something to entertain himself for the time being.

So I decided to not go straight up Blue Beetle. But I did keep the whole alien artifact combining with a regular guy.

Lowell stands at roughly 5’7’’ with a slim build and pale skin. His hair is blond and short, and parted to the side with added silver streaks. Clothing wise Lowell wears simple jeans and t-shirts, and usually some form of jacket or sweater over it. He used to wear glasses over his emerald eyes, but since fusing with the Dragonheart he no longer requires them.

Lowell is fused with the Dragonheart, a crimson orb-like device that is embedded in the centre of his chest. When he activates the Dragonheart, it spreads nano-machines throughout his body that form a thin but durable chrome armour around his entire body. Lowell also sprouts mechanical wings that glow with a blue energy that allows for flight. Two gauntlets also form on his hands, also glowing with blue energy. Lowell can at any time deactivate the Dragonheart, causing all the nano-machines to instantly break down and return to the orb.

Powers:

Lowell’s powers come from the Dragonheart, a piece of alien technology embedded in his chest. The Dragonheart has a basic AI built into it, one that can telepathically communicate with Lowell, explaining things and offering advice. Lowell has the ability to tell the Dragonheart to activate, triggering a flood of nano-machines to leave the device and cover Lowell’s body in a layer of armour. This armour is super durable and grants super strength to Lowell. The nano-machines also create wings, which when powered by the blue energy flowing through it allows for flight in any environment. A pair of power gauntlets are also formed, which allow to Lowell to fire the blue energy or create a temporary shield. As a last resort Lowell can shoot Dragonfire, a powerful beam of energy that originates from the core of the Dragonheart itself. While devastatingly powerful, it takes up a lot of the energy of the Dragonheart and could result in it shutting down.

Personality:

Lowell usually comes off as a nice guy, someone pleasant to be around. He rarely takes things too seriously and is always down to try new things. However, he is also not the most reliable guy, and many who know him long enough know that not to put too much faith in him. While he has made efforts to try and improve himself, Lowell is not really sure how and often falls back on the same negative behaviours.

While in his Dragoon alter-ego, Lowell is still a fun loving guy who is always ready to make a joke. Despite the danger involved, Lowell views being a hero as a fun hobby. As such he tends not to pay too much attention to the safety of others, while being confident that he is safe in his armour.

History:

In ancient times there existed a kingdom on Earth called Hyporia. A jewel of society among the primitive people of the planet, Hyporia attracted the attention of rival alien races, the Rulgi and the Ophideus. The Rulgi experimented on the natives of Hyporia, granting them many super-powers. In turn the Ophideus created the Dragonhearts, artifacts that combined with the humans and gave them battle armour. It wasn’t long until the two sides clashed, the battle destroying all of Hyporia. In the end all the Dragonhearts were seemingly destroyed, save one that remained hidden in the ruins. The surviving empowered of Hyporia left for other lands, fading into myth. Eventually the Rulgi and Ophideus departed Earth, leaving almost no trace that they were ever there.

Fast forward to modern day and Lowell George is born, son of two novelists living in Second City. Lowell was the younger son of the family, his brother Darren born four years before. Growing up Lowell and Darren were very close, sharing many interests such as movies, martial arts, and food. However it would soon become apparent that Darren was the high achiever, while Lowell just coasted by. Darren would make the honour roll and write for the school paper, while Lowell would do the bare minimum academically and maybe try out for a sports team. Lowell soon came to believe that his parents valued Darren more than him, causing him to have a more strained relationship with his brother.

Eventually, Lowell graduated from high school, unsure of what to do next. He had decided to take a year off before applying for college, wanting to explore the world. For a while he considered becoming a novelist like his parents, but found that he didn’t have the drive to write. So he found a job at a grocery store, working for minimum wage. This didn’t help with how Lowell viewed himself in relation to others. Knowing that his older brother was working on a master’s degree in history at Second City University, Lowell tried to get interested in studies as well. To that end he decided to go to a local museum as they had an exhibit on recently found relics from the ruins of Hyporia.

While Lowell checked out the exhibit, the museum was attacked by a gang of mercenaries looking to loot the exhibition. In the excitement of the attack, Lowell bumped into an exhibit, causing an orb to fall toward him. When the orb touched Lowell it combined with him, explaining that it was a Dragonheart. With the help of the built in AI, Lowell transformed into a battle armour and was able to fight off the mercenaries. Keeping the Dragonheart a secret, Lowell decided to try and see if being a superhero was his calling. So by day he worked at the grocery store, but by night he defended Second City as the Dragoon.

Equipment:

Besides the Dragonheart, which grants him powers and a helpful AI, Lowell doesn’t carry much. Usually all that he has on him is his phone, wallet, and a gaming handheld.

Lowell doesn’t have many job related skills as he hasn’t pursued post-secondary education. What he does know is some Tae Kwon Do, from childhood martial arts classes, and car repair, thanks to shop class. Lowell is also a pretty good singer, but he doesn’t often sing.

The city will gradually become a bit more presentable and less destroyed over time but for now it's pretty much find a place to sleep.

The Next Day

The Supreme Kai of Time had studied what limited information she had been able to acquire about the universe Tabaga was from and she was starting to see how it could diverge so drastically from what she considered the normal series of events. For instance, there was no King Cold, no Frieza, no Cooler. No Frieza force at all to destroy certain civilizations or keep other civilizations from advancing too far. The more she learned from the Dimensional scanner, the more she was starting to understand why Tabaga seemed so mentally unstable. These saiyans were similar to many other versions of the saiyans but they were somewhat less vicious but no less proud. They had prided themselves on being fair to all those in their empire but they had also failed to protect those in their empire and had been beaten again and again over ten years of war against whoever the black armored troopers were. It was no wonder Tabaga was less than mentally sound after all that.

Ten years...I don't understand why they spent ten years trying to eradicate all life in Tabaga's home universe when they could have just wiped out her universe and move onto the next. The fact that whoever this mysterious foe was had been around for nearly ten years alarmed the Kai. How many more universes have been destroyed that we don't know about?

What made her reality different? Was it possible that there was something in her universe that these invaders had wanted for themselves? Something that had allowed them to move whatever plans they had at a much faster pace? Or was it something else? The Kai couldn't figure it out and had spent most of the night trying to do so. She was dead tired at the moment but she knew she had no choice but to continue at this point.

Information first. Sleep later.

She stepped out of the Time nest and looked out across Conton City. It was still a wasteland but today it seemed a bit...brighter than it had yesterday. After a few minutes of walking she found herself out in front of the ruins of the Academy and she smiled slightly. She had many good memories here of watching the newer Time Patrollers learn the basics of what they were expected to do.

Physical Description: Victor weighs around 230 pounds, most of it is muscle. He has blue eyes and is around 6'3 in height. Has no hair simply because he prefers to shave it off when it grows. Normally wears a black T-shirt with a blue and red Yin yang symbol in the center with blue jeans and white shoes.

Personality: The best word to describe Victor is Friendly. The guy is always friendly right off the bat no matter what your first impression of him is. He'll always be nice to you if your nice to him. If you are rude to him for an extended period of time after meeting him it's a bit of a different story. He'll tolerate you but won't go out of his way to do nice things for you. If you decide you want to change your attitude about him and start being nice, he'll smile and say it's all under the bridge but he'll be careful around for you a while to make sure he isn't being screwed over. If he decides he likes you and you end up being nice to him, you've pretty much got a guy that will give you the shirt off his back if he thinks it will help you. The guy is just an overall nice human being due to the way he was raised and the way his brother treated him after his mutation started showing.

Background: Victor was born to a family that had no prior history of mutations and his didn't show until a few days after he graduated from High School. He had a relatively normal childhood and grew up with a loving family and an older brother who was a year old than him who taught him the benefits of working out at a relatively young age and did his best to keep his younger brother away from some of the more shady characters while he was in school. That was hardly necessary though. Victor was a good student who did his best to simply be friendly towards other students and teachers. Despite being a smart student he found himself more interested in sports then academics. He did do his best to keep them both a high priority though. He managed to graduate on the B honor roll but what he truly excelled at was sports. He was responsible for catching with winning touchdown in three football games in his freshman year and continued to improve over the years. He also dabbled slightly in track and tried wrestling once but didn't really care for it. He was responsible for helping bring his team to the state championship two years in a row and was noted as the guy that people could come to when they were having any kind of problem. His teammates loved him, the coaches loved him and one or two of the cheerleaders had a slight crush on him.

Around three days after graduating, Victor and his brother were out at a restaurant enjoying a late lunch after Victor's brother had finished work. As the two were leaving when they witnessed a homeless gentleman being harassed by a drunk individual. Victor and his brother, never ones to let someone bully someone else decided to step in and politely told the drunk individual he should leave. The drunk, taking offense to that statement pulled out a large knife from his jacket and attempted to stab Victor's brother. It was at this moment that Victor's powers seemed to awaken as a large chunk of earth shot up from the ground and hit the drunk in the stomach, knocking him to the ground. Both the drunk and the homeless gentleman took off, frightened by the display of power. Victor and his brother could only look at each other in shock. At first they weren't sure which one of them had done it.

After both of them spent a few moments concentrating, Victor found that he had been the one who had done it after he ended up moving a chunk of the ground once again. Victor's brother took charge of the situation and immediately drove Victor home and explained what had happened to their parents. Victor, who was still in shock fully expected to be thrown out of the house or shipped off to a government facility or something. After all, he was a mutant wasn't he? That's what happened to mutants.

Although Victor wasn't exactly expecting them to welcome him with open arms after the incident he was still somewhat surprised by the reaction. His normally welcoming and loving parents had become very cold and distant towards him. They weren't furious with him or going out of their way and threatening him or ordering him to leave the house and never return. They simply had become very cold and distant towards him. Victor's brother, always one to defend his younger brother immediately confronted them on their behavior. Unfortunately, the confrontation between Victor's brother and his parents began to escalate until eventually the screaming and yelling began to get to him. Victor was at his breaking point when his father grabbed Victor's brother by the front of the shirt and began to shake him.

This proved to be a mistake as Victor's abilities activated once again and Victor's father was pinned against the kitchen wall as a mass of earth emerged from the ground and slammed him into the wall. It was at this point that Victor's mother began to scream at the two of them to get out of the house and that she was calling the authorities. While she did her best to try and break Victor's father out of the mass of earth, Victor and his brother grabbed what little they could and bolted out the door and took off in Victor's brother's car as quick as they could.

After five hours of simply driving away from the family home and not saying much, Victor's brother started talking. He didn't start off by talking about Victor's mutation. He asked if Victor's drivers license was still up to date, he asked if Victor wanted him to take care of anything and how much money Victor had on him at the moment. Victor, still in a state of shock over what had happened answered as best he could. The two of them stopped off on the side of an empty stretch of highway and Victor closed his eyes and prepared for his brother to turn on him as his parents did.

Instead, Victor's brother handed him around $400 in twenties and asked him if he knew anything about a place called "The Ashford Institute for the Gifted." Victor, obviously did not and Victor's brother explained that a few minutes after they had confirmed that Victor had been the one with the powers, his brother had already began looking for places of refuge for people with mutant abilities. He had suspected their parents would react the way they had and had found references to a place known as the Ashford Institute. As the two began to talk about what the immediate plan for the future was, Victor began to ask more about the Institute. He didn't know much about it but at this point it seemed like his only place of refuge. The two talked for a good two hours before they began driving again. It took nearly half a day of driving before they arrived outside a large, three story manor with a large courtyard. The two sat outside the manor for twenty minutes as Victor and his brother said their good-byes to each other. Victor's brother told him that he would do his best to keep in touch and would be doing his best to try and get a life set up away from his parents.

Victor eventually grabbed what few possessions he had managed to take from the house and stood outside the gates and hesitantly knocked on the gates.

Sort of. It's far enough away that a Tidal wave wouldn't wipe it out completely if that makes sense xD

So just a bit of clarification. The Titans have also been the Teen Titans when they were originally the sidekicks of the JLA put into one team before becoming their own thing, and when the team went defunct, they were eventually made up from Young Justice members who graduated to their teen years (yes, working on very old comics knowledge, but I'm a bit out of touch with comics these days). They started originally as a kid appeal team before becoming the teen appeal team (Teen Titans), and moved up to Young Adult interest while the JLA remains the "big boys" of the DC Universe.

Would the Titans here be made on the assumption of restarting the team as another Teen Titans incarnation, or straight to a more 'grown ups' mode as the Titans? If you noticed, Brightstar was pretty much written up to be a Teen Titan, though she can still be the baby of the team in a Titans incarnation.

They went straight to a more grown up mode just because they were forced to fight things that would give some of the more seasoned heroes pause. Most of them were older when they joined.

Space-time Manipulation: Traveler has the ability to fold space, and, formerly, time. With this, he is able to teleport either himself, or objects/other people with physical contact. He also has the ability to create tunnels in space, aka, wormholes, which function as portals from one point to another. He can only teleport/portal to places he had already seen, or had already been to before.

He used to have the ability to travel through time, though it was highly unpredictable and he only used it twice, after which he lost it completely after an encounter with a power leecher.

Dimensional Ergokinesis: Traveler possesses the ability to projects beams or blasts of energy from an unknown source, though it is thought that it comes from the fabric of energy that holds the multiverse together. His beams are red in color, and could blast through concrete if charged at full power. He can also divert the energy as a power source, allowing him to operate what appears to be a lightsaber.

Personality: Unpredictable and perhaps a little erratic, Arcturus was the wierdo in the Titans. Out of them, he was quite laid back and didn't seem to take things seriously, at least until the dire situation has reared its ugly head. He is by far more unscrupulous than the others, preferring to use sneaky tactics against enemies rather than face them head on. For this, he has a mixed reputation; some could say that he fights smart, others say that he has no honor.

Still, Arcturus had demonstrated to be a caring, kind friend to the other Titans, if not the eccentric one. He had responded to Viran's reaching out, at least when he came back from the past. He is affectionate and playful, though he is slow to understand jokes and idioms.

History: Arcturus Forsythe was born on Second City itself, the youngest son of a surgeon father and a librarian mother. He had two siblings; an older sister, and a younger brother, the latter of which was telepathic. Arcturus lived a pretty normal life until he was 14, when his sleepwalking became very... weird. He began waking up in very random places, such as the dumpster behind their house, the neighbour's couch, and the doghouse. He was getting into impossible places, and when home footage was reviewed, it was discovered that Arcturus was teleporting in his sleep. Heroes were common knowledge, and his parents looked for someone to teach their son to control his ability, as they'd dare not cut his wings. Luckily enough, they knew a meta, a teleporter that was apprehended by the Flash, though he had been reformed and had used his powers for the nation in several tours in the Middle East. Arcturus would learn to control his abilities, including his energy projection. The Teen Titans would later see his usefulness and willingness, and invited him over, which he accepted. As a Titan, he aided in the defence of the city against numerous threats, including aliens and other metas.

When the Titans disbanded, Arcturus went to a lot of different places, hiding from the public in plain sight. However, when he tried to teleport to Washington DC, he teleported into the past in the 60's. Finding himself unable to return to the present, he settled in there at an age of 23. He was wary of any effects his presence could do to the timeline; as such, he blended in, not showing his abilities to anyone, not even the woman he married. Their relationship was frowned upon by many, as she was black, and Arcturus was a white man. However, she was dying from cancer after seven years of them together, and it was at her final days that he teleported with her to see many places that she could have only dreamt of. And so, Arcturus' love would have a peaceful death.

He was, however heartbroken, and decided that he had to come back to the present. After a whole month, he returned to the present, only to almost immediately fall under attack from someone with the ability to steal powers. Arcturus managed to defeat and kill him, but his power to travel through time was permanently lost. Not that he wanted to keep it, anyway. Arcturus would then find that Viran had reached out to him along with the other former Titans. He may not be an original, but he still sure is one of them.

Equipment: He wields an energy blade powered by his Ergokinesis; it could be described as an extremely high powered Bunsen Burner.

I'm good with this character except for the fact he knew Viran. The only ones who would know him would have been the characters from the original RP. I'll work with Viran having a passing familiarity with him though due to his actions in the city. He'd probably be keeping a very close eye on him recently however and will be reaching out to him in very short order.

As Penelope West, she is a skinny 5'4" Caucasian teenager with freckles and short rust-brown hair. She wears glasses for her relatively short-sightedness and prefers a t-shirt (usually with a nerdy or science-based pun on it) and jeans.

In her heroic alter-ego Brightstar, she bright yellow spandex with white accents and blue boots and gloves, and completes the look with a futuristic visor/headset (with the glass custom made to compensate for her vision problems) and a long blond wig to cover her hair. On her chest is her makeshift emblem, a bright white star with white and gold rays coming out of it, set against a blue rhombus. Her boots also have high heels to make her look taller, though while she dislikes walking on them, she compensates by practically flying everywhere.

Brightstar is a metahuman light-based energy blaster sort with flight capabilities. Her powers are essentially solar-powered, as she absorbs sunlight and stores it in her body, releasing it later as focused energy blasts or bright light, and can use that energy to fly as well.
Personality:
In her civilian persona, Penny can be shy around new people and finds it difficult to open up due to a fear of messing it up. Around people she's more comfortable with, however, she can be really cheerful and a bit of a motormouth, especially in subjects she finds interesting or important. She's always ready with a helping hand and an eager attitude, whether it be homework or general help. She's also a big fan of comic books and superheroes, and tries to follow up on superhero stories as they inspire and interest her greatly.

Her superheroine alter-ego leans more towards the "bright and cheerful" side, as she wants to become more open and courageous in her hero persona to act as a vent for her more social side. She generally tries to put on what she believes to be a heroic or brave image fearless and helpful, but bits of her personality keep slipping through, such as her geeking out over a famous superhero or strange new technology.
History:
Oldest daughter of a S.T.A.R. Labs researcher and an adventurous anthropologist, her parents divorced when she was seven and she currently lives with her mother and siblings.

Penny was a shy girl when she was younger, unsure around people and more comfortable around electronics and computers than people, though she has been trying to work around that and get to know people better. Her main solace growing up was science fiction and fantasy, especially superheroes, who were fantastic, larger than life people yet who also existed in real life, making them role models to her, and she aspired to become one when she grew up.

One day, some time after her 13th birthday, she found herself experiencing strange phenomenon, such as waking up a couple inches above the bed, feeling sudden, strong warmth in her hands, an odd tendency to have her hands glow in the dark, and an inability to get sunburns or even suntans anymore. She realized she had been born with superhuman powers, and began working on honing her abilities and learning how to control them. She took a year to master her skill, and eventually managed to cobble together a superhero suit and get some experience superheroing.

Recently, her family moved to Second City as part of her mother's transfer to a new branch, and she's been trying to establish herself there.

Penny has a smartphone on her at all times, one she has clandestinely upgraded into a handheld computer. While she uses it as a personal assistant, she can also use it to hack into various systems and terminals when necessary, and it has an internet connection for on-the-fly research. She also has a soldering kit, a multipurpose voltmeter, flash drive, and some 'spy devices' in case she needs to do surveillance. Her visor/headset is perfectly functional, with a built in communicator and rudimentary scanner.
Skills:
Penny is a highly skilled electrician and computer expert, able to put together complicated circuitry and devices as necessary with the right components. An accomplished programmer and a skilled cracker, she has considerable skills with computer hardware and programming. She also has some skills that help her crimefighting career, such as aikido training and gymnastics. She's not a master in either, but it allows her some measure of self-defense ability and flexibility in combat.
