This may seem a foolish question, but does doubling up on characters mean we can have multiple characters?

Despite my anxiety and inclination to ask a multitude of questions, I shall refrain and let other people post.
However, is it safe to assume that Final Judgement has been passed, and we can plan things between characters?
I love weaving intricate webs connecting characters that serve as fuel for drama and emotional conflict.
