So I'm not sure where I should ask this, but I've noticed a lot of threads have several tabs. Namely IC, OOC, and Character Sheets.
How do these work? Is it at all possible to customize them? I didn't really want to make a trash post just to test.

The RP I'm looking around to move is large enough that we use a sub-plot campaign structure, where characters break of in groups of 3-6 and work through small campaign arcs run by sub-GM volunteers. In the current forum we're in the biggest reason we haven't moved is that we've got a dedicated subforum folder due to the multitude of thread we create getting lost or clogged in the standard RP section.

If it was possible to make custom tabs we could just have a master thread for each sub-plot set with each tab listing one of the subplots.

I was going to respond to this last night, but I was too tired. Hopefully I can answer your inquiry anyway. . .

From my understanding, you can't exactly customize them though you can utilize BBCode, headers, and so on to make your Roleplays look more presentable. You can find guides for "prettying up" your Roleplays here. There is also what's referred to as a "zeroth post" on the OOC and Character tabs that can be stickied for important information such as summaries, lore, character lists, and so on. It may be easier to peruse the forums to see it in action as opposed to explaining it though. I wouldn't worry too much about making a "trash thread" though as if you're ever unsatisfied with your work, you can request it to be deleted by moderators here.

I have some background in Tumblr Roleplay myself though it's been a long time since I was on there (six years at the very least). I couldn't even begin to recall my groups at the time were called. . Anyway, what kind of Roleplaying do you generally prefer to do?

Where were you Roleplaying before your two year hiatus and what exactly is "FlowerPunk"? If you don't mind me asking, that is. Just a little curious. In any case, I've been in your shoes before and it isn't too difficult to get back into the swing of the hobby again. Hopefully everything works well for you and you're able to find what you're looking for. If you have any questions involving the website, in the meantime, then please don't hesitate to ask. Thx m8, I’ll check em out. One thing I don’t really understand is how to make character profiles here. I prefer to make character sheets and face claims, but from the looks of it that appears to be optional. Is there like a guide I can look at?

Based on my experience here, character sheets tend to be developed on a Roleplay-per-Roleplay basis. This section is specifically meant for character sheets that you want to create or store, whether they're for a Roleplay or simply because you're transferring them from another site. You could probably store them here too if you'd prefer. Most Roleplays, with the exception of any marked as "Jump-In", will specifically outline what character sheet they want in the Roleplay's interest check or OOC.

I hope that answers your question in that regard. I'm not sure if there is a specific guide for that, but you can find quite a few helpful ones here. I was using it as my lifeline when I first started here since the BBCode is slightly different from what I'm usually used to.

I am currently doing some browsing but some of the roleplays that I'd be perfect for are seemingly full. But hey, I'll just have to get myself out there and insert myself somehow. I am very optimistic. :) But haven't done dystopian in a really, really long time, to be honest. Meaning, I'd probably have to do some heavy research before dabbling in that particular genre again.
