Aquawlad followed her sister down with the fainted human. There was a merman just as Ariyah had said, and Arys too, just below. "It's alright Ariyah, you can do this." She said, just before the mermaid's eyes began to glow. She knew the feeling of changing someone. How you life began to dissolve and the feeling of death ebbing ever nearer. Already her life had stretched on for to long. .Seeing a changing from the outside, being so close and still not a part, reminded her that there were only so many times a mermaid could change someone, and that she probably would die if she changed anyone else. She smiled, it seemed as though fate had saved her this time.

She turned now to the merman. He wasn't like the other mermen she had, though it took her a minuet to realize why. Hi face held no malice. It was soft like a child's, and curious, and shy. "Truly i've seen everything." she whispered in amazement, her eyes wide. "You are not like the rest of them, are you." For a moment she just stared in wonder at how a merman could be like link.

The dolphin Ariyah had ridden began bobbing it's head and chirping, a signal it needed to show someone something. But before Aquawlad had a chance to ask it a scream ripped though the water."Arys!" she gasped, as the dolphin frantically swam around.

She shot a worried look at Ariyah then to the merman. "Keep them both safe, They'll both be weak when she's done, let them rest here, our city is that way. Don't leave them and don't let them follow me. Stay here. She said, all rather quickly. She whistled to the dolphin who came to her side immediately, and then they were both gone toward the sound.

The pair soon crossed paths with Arys and the viscous group of mermen. Aquawlad had no weapons as they did, but all the same she had her loyalty to her sister. "Let her go," She said, her voice commanding. She sized up the group, chances were slim that she could beat them fairly, she'd have to win by wit.

Eyeing the sharks her eyes began to glow white. She didn't need to tell them what the should do, they already wanted to be free anyway, they just needed a push in that direction. The sharks snapped at their abusers, rows of teeth capable of tearing flesh from the mermen's enemies, now turned on them. They caused havoc in the crowd, blundering into whatever was in their path, blinded by hatred of their captors.

Eyes still burning like the sun she starred at the merman holding her sister.
"Do not make me repeat myself." She finished, her tone motherly and scolding.

Once your characters heart rates back to normal then can go through a maze with distraction s and eventually get out to where everyone else is.
To quote our DM
" You will be trapped in this room until your character can manage to get his/her heart rate back to normal. As soon as you do, the living nightmare will start disappearing until you are left in pitch darkness again.

Then another door will open, revealing a dimly lit hallway with metal walls. The door will shut behind you as you exit the nightmare room. You will soon find that this hallway is not a normal hallway. It is a maze and not a regular maze at that. Along the walls there are window frames with the same indestructible invisible material that surrounds the city. Outside these windows lie emotional memories from your character's past, repressed memories, happy memories, and haunting memories. If you get lost in the maze and come across the same window, it will be showing a different memory. Thus, the windows become nothing more than distractions from navigating the maze successfully.

Once your character can push these distractions aside, he/she can find the white door that is the exit. Beyond this door lies another room, much like the room where the recording spoke to you. There are several other white doors in this room, doors that other characters may emerge from. This will be where people can meet up and continue collaborative writing.

One wall in this room is different than the other white door bearing walls. This wall has two archways. One archway has the words 'To Saftey' engraved in gold letters. Through this archway you see a plesently lit stairwell that leads upward. If your character takes these stairs, you will emerge safely outside the casino through a side door.

The other archway has the words 'To The Truth' engraved in similar lettering. Beyond this archway you can see a hallway filled with barbed wire criss crossing from wall to wall and a bed of red hot coals all over the floor. The further you get down the hallway, the hotter the floor becomes, eventually becoming nothing more than open flames. The barbed wire also becomes thicker as you go, becoming so thick that it is difficult to see through.

If you can make it through this hallway, you will reach a set of stairs that decend downward to another black door. "
Hope this helps :>

Aquawlad gave a plesant smile and extended her arm to the human as though to invite her into the water. Something, however, caught her eye. She snatched back her arm, turning to the sea just as Ariyah broke the surface. At first she was confused, but she was so overwhelmed with joy it must not have shown "Ariyah! You're okay!" she squeaked, plunging toward her sister. Aquwlad wrapped her arms around Ariyah, giving her a quick hug back allowing the girl her personal space. "Oh, I'm so glad your safe, The human's fine but how did you get away?" She said bewildered. When she'd last Seen Ariyah things certainly weren't looking good for her future. Aquawlad figured the mermen had probably done something horrible to Ariyah before she managed to free her self.

As Airyah mentioned turning the human Aquawlad's face changed from concern to curiosity. She turned back to the human, who she'd nearly forgotten about."oh... um. Airyah's fine so we don't really need to go save her. I can still turn you into a mermaid though. If you still wanted to."
@Guardian Angel Haruki

"well..." she started, "you'd have to live in the ocean with my sister's and I. But I promise we're all quite nice. "

The meremaid paused, thinking about what other things might be included as a 'catch'. " You'd live for more than a thousand years, I don't know how long humans usually last, but surely that's longer. Hmmm, we have magic as well. That's how I found you!"

Aquawlad allowed her mind to wonder for a moment, trying to bring up the feelings shed had as a new mermaid. Everything was so strange and distant in her memories, years melted together until only the most unique experiences remained whole. Unfortunately her first decade as a mermaid was wholly unexceptional.

She looked back at the human, her golden eyes meeting an intense stare. "oh, I'm so sorry. I just got lost in thought. Don't feel like you have to change, it's not exactly a thing you can change your mind about later. "
@Guardian Angel Haruki

Aquawlad looked at her curiously, wondering what could possibly stop anyone from simply swimming where ever they pleased if they could swim. She knew humans weren't the strongest of swimmers but none the less it was difficult for her to quite grasp the issue.

A small wave crashed down just behind her, pushing her forward half a foot, before dragging her back out another two. She could've easily stayed were she was, it on her terms that she let the ocean pull her back.

"If you want," she said, "you could come help her yourself."

The mermaid gave a small smile before ducking under the water. She peered around under the surface, she could here the click of a dolphin in the distance, though it didn't sound in danger. She surfaced once again, pushing her dark hair back behind her ear.

"I mean, i could turn you into a mermaid. If you want." A loving smile played across her face as she spoke.
@Guardian Angel Haruki

Aquawlad frowned at the women. Perhaps she was more disconnected with how humans were but the women looked just fine, she'd even said she didn't need any help. The mermaid wondered for a moment if this was even the right women, though the human did look like she'd just gone for a dip in the ocean recently.

In response to the humans question she flicked her tail out of the water, it's gold scales glistening every moment it was above water,before spashing back underneath the choppy surface. Then in a concerned tone she spoke, "I'm a mermaid silly, i don't think i've ever really felt cold."
She gave a small smile before looking over her shoulder back the way she came. She felt she didn't belong out of the water, it was just unnatural. She brushed her dark hair back over her ear and bright eyes focused on the girl continued. "My sister said you needed help, and as much as i'd love to help. Well. If you don't need help, i should go. She's in danger and i only really left because she insisted checking on you. Anyway, if you're fine i really should go dear, and you can just... swim back to your home? You can swim right?"
@wolverbells@Guardian Angel Haruki

Aquawlad frowned at the prospect of leaving her sister. "oh...if you're sure.... I'll be back with help."
She sighed, her gold eyes carefully evaluating Ariyah. At last she decided that the mermaid was entirely honest in her request, "Stay safe." she requested before swimming back to the door and out.

She swam as fast as she could to the surface, gliding through the water as though she were born there. She stopped just before breaching the surface, letting her momentum take her the last few feet. Only her eyes peered over, searching for any sign of humans. Nothing on any of the islands could be seen from the distance though.

With no better plan she swam to the closest island, circling around it and upon finding it empty moving on. This strategy continued for a few more of the smaller islands before she came to an inhabited one.
Picking at the shore was a seagull, content on the little island though lonely to return to the mainland. With a little coaxing the bird came over to her. She starred at it, her eyes glowing like the sun. After a few mesmerized moments it took flight, gliding over the islands faster than Aquawlad could swim.

The bird flew low over each island, its precise eyes searching for only one thing, one person. In only a few minuets it found its target. Lighting on the beach in front of her it waddled closer, screeched, and took flight once more. In another minute it was back to the mermaid and then off to the mainland. The mermaid herself was gone in seconds, back to the ocean heading to where the bird had just been.

Once again gold eyes peered out over the gleaming salt waters of the ocean. Rain pattered around her though she was unfazed. She edged closer until only her tail was under water. "hello," she said her voice warm, "Are you alright?"
@Invader Len
Cammilla gave a polite smile and waved back to the new man. "hello," she greeted, voice like a bell "We were just about to go on... you should come with us..." The girl paused, looking around at the other doors, especially the one leading out. When nobody comented on her assertion she took a few tentative steps then practically skipped over. She stood on her toes, only reaching as high as his shoulders before whispering "I think that's the way home". She took a step back to look up at him, an honest smile on her face.

He looked remarkably like her oldest brother, and perhaps that's why she trusted him so quickly. She took his hand, as her mother often had taken hers, and started toward the hot coals and thorned vines. It was such a comfort for her to be so near other people again. "It's probably not so bad," she said, reassuringly.
@BlackPanther
(I really liked your character btw) I came across a tail like the one you described (it was actually the one i was going to use for my mermaid but then i found the other one!) anyway: A fin like this perhaps
(the artist even used a koi as the model for the tail! :D )
