Bio
Well hello, what are you doing here, my friend?
Well, if you're still here and you wish to know more about me, then:
I'm a 22 fella who's currently in college and is trying to RP while attending college at the same time. I've been into roleplaying since about the mid 2013's, though I was really bad at it during the first year or so. I "migrated" to RPGuild around 4 years ago since the previous site had banned roleplaying due to a large influx of newbie roleplayers polluting the site with shitty RP's. Either way, since then I've been on this site quite regularly, except during a few occasions when real life took precedence and I had to vanish for a month or two.
As for writing capabilities, I'd like to think myself right now that I'm somewhere in-between casual and advanced levels of writing, though if I'm really into an RP, I'll tend to force myself to write something advanced. As for writing in general, you don't have to worry about that, I really love writing and I do it all the time even when I'm not roleplaying, though there are "dry" periods when my creativity seems to vanish for no discernible reason. General interests include most types of fantasy writing as long as it's properly written, though it has happened in the past for me to be interested in something when I thought I would like it, so if you have an idea and you want to roleplay, then pitch it to me and I'll tell you if I like it or not. As for smut, well, I'm not actively looking for one, but if you think you have an interesting idea, then feel free to pitch it to me.
Well, that's about it, if you want to know more personal stuff about me, or simply wish to have someone to talk to about any topic you so desire, then feel free to PM me.
My character sheet is finally done! If I exaggerated with anything, feel free to tell me so I may change it.
The Imperial Confederation of An'ketan
"Strength through Unity!"
Empress Kir'arima
Emperor Gor'Karon
Emperor Ker'Alek
Ambassador Ore'lek
General Ark'aran
Admiral Lor'kerion
Captain Ker'larn
Anketanus: The Homeworld of the Imperial Confederation and the An'ketani and where the Empress rules over the confederation. This planet is the only major planet where the An'ketan are a majority of the population in the Imperial Confederation. Access to this planet is completely restricted to anyone outside the Confederation and will be shot on sight if they are seen trying to access the planet.
Korkaranus: The Homeworld of the incredibly warlike Kor'karans. All the planets of this system including the planet itself are basically giant warcamps and factories for the Imperial Confederation's armies. Their emperor is Gor'Karon and overall chief of the army of the Imperial Confederation behind only the Emperess herself.
Orokalius: The Homeworld of the intelligent Ler'Kan. The Ler'kan are the most intelligent of the confederation's species and act not only as the nation's scientists and philosophers, but also as the strategists and admirals of the Imperial Confederation. Their Emperor, Ker'Alek - meaning the Enlighteneda - is the Emperess' personal advisor in all matters of the state.
Kar'Iaran: This planet is alone the largest economic port of the Imperial Confederation, mostly thanks to incredibly large size of the planet and the huge amount of resources it contains. It is also the unofficial homeworld of the artificially created Ara'Kan species due to it's overwhelming majority of over 97%.
For a long time, the three intelligent species forming the Imperial Confederacy lived in general isolation from the rest of galaxy, even contact with the Llyr Empire consisted only of a minor trading treaty and a pact of non-agression between the two large factions. And a cordial peace was maintained between the two factions.
Even when the Resurgent Mandate rose up and destroyed the core worlds of the Llyr Empire, the emperor at the time, wanting to maintain peace, much to the dismay of the Kor'karan, did not want to involve itself in this war, they were no threat to the Imperial Confederacy and it's might and considered that they would be complete idiots if they declared war upon them.
However, a rather indirect declaration of war was offered when a Ler'kan spy retrieved the entire agenda of the Mandate and sent it to the Three Emperors. As soon as they heard that their plan was to exterminate all 'inferior' races, a reason for war was offered. The pacifistic emperor stepped down in favor of his daughter who declared that all the armies of the empire should be launched against the Mandate.
In less than month, a massive armada of battleships and transports were ready to warp into Mandate territory along with the newly fangled flagship Wrath of Emperess at it's front. The first battle was more of a slaughter as the massive armada surprised a much smaller fleet as they were ready to invade a planet of the Outer Alliance. The small fleet was obliterated within less than an hour, leaving nothing but scrap floating around.
The admiral in control of the imperial fleet jumped out of the system as soon as the battle ended, wishing to finish off in a quick lightning campaign. The next battle was a bit fairer as the fleet of the Mandate was expecting the fleet of the Imperial Confederacy to attack. The battle seemed equal at first... until the war-loving Kor'koran started boarding the enemy vessels and taking them out one by one.
However, the remnants of this fleet was able to escape to a nearby friendly system, where another fleet awaited. This time, the admiral waited for his fleet to recover as certain ships needed to be repaired after receiving significant damage. After a few days, repairs were done and the fleet jumped in pursuit... only to jump already in the midst of what seemed to be an ambush on the main fleet of Mandate.
Though at a risk of being attacked by the ambushers themselves. The admiral ordered the fleet into the fray and to aid the Outer Alliance. The main fleet of the Mandate had been crushed though at quite significant casualties for the Imperial Confederacy.
It would have been expected that the admiral jump with the Outer Alliance and aid them in re-taking Sevara. However, the admiral did the thing that sealed both his political life and actual life. Thinking the enemy beaten completely, he started the return back to Anketanus.
However, he was received not as a war hero, but as a traitor to his own kin for retreating while the war was still ongoing... and as such was promptly executed for treason. Even so, the Imperial Confederacy instead of attacking again, they bid their time and started to rebuild their own fleet.
The An'ketan: The An'ketan are currently the heads of the Imperial Confederation of An'ketan and though they are the second least numerous - only outnumbering the Ler'Kan - they are the strongest militarily and it does not help that they have the Ara'Kan under their direct control.
The Kor'Karan: The Kor'karan are the warriors of the Imperial Confederation and are firm believers of the god Korkronus who said that only through war, the galaxy can be unified. Though they form the main military force of the Imperial Confederation and are supposed to be allies with the other two species part of it, they view the faithless Ler'Kan with deep suspicion.
The Ler'kan: The most enlightened race out of the three species are the Ler'kan, but they are the least numerous as well and have a deep hate for war in general, preferring to spend time debating the secrets of the universe and discovering new technologies to help them in that regard. Despite their hate for war, they have contributed the most to the military, discovering the new weapons and giving the Imperial Confederation the best generals and admirals. They view the Kor'karans with disdain, considering them superstitious warmongering barbarians.
The Ara'kan: Though the Ara'kan are the most numerous species of the Imperial Confederation, they are little more than grunts to the other three nations, serving as both cannon fodder in the military and as little more than glorified servants under the An'ketan. They reproduce the fastest of the species and they hatch into fully grown adults in less than a month. However, the sole reason that stopped them from revolting is that they were created by the An'ketan and had written in their DNA to be fully obedient towards their masters.
The Imperial Confederation, though it seems united in it's decisions, it has different trains of thought about all the various policies that UA has set up. For example, the An'ketan and Kor'Karan believe that FTL is a technology that shouldn't be so limited as travel and invasions would go all the smoother with it, while the Ler'kan believe that FTL tech should be outright banned, though have offered little answer in why they think so.
When it comes to planet killing weapons, however, they are united. The An'ketan believe that no living being should be able to hold the power to end planets just with a weapon, however, if any other species acquires this weapon they will be forced to develop such weapons themselves. The Kor'Karan do not have any moral compunctions about using such weapons, instead they view such ways of fighting as cowardly, showing the universe that you are afraid to face it with your own strength. Lastly, the philosophical Ler'kan propose that nobody should hold onto such weapons as it would possibly threaten all life in existence.
Due to the large size of the territories of the Imperial Confederation, it encompasses most of the resources present in the galaxy and though it does not like foreigners, they have started trading with the other nations as well.
Their largest two sectors and mining and weapons manufacturing, excelling at the latter one, producing some of the best weaponry in the Galaxy.

I believe it is more about writing a story than mechanics, Theo. Not everything needs to have mechanics up the wazzoo
I agree with you on this one! These are type of RP's I like to RP in the first place. Of course, I won't pass up a stat-based RP if it has an interesting story.
Well, it's the Imperial Confederation only in name when in truth, it is a tightly knit alliance system. Well, the enlightened ones don't believe in deities, the warlike ones believe only in a god of war and the first one (whose name translate to Dominators) think they are very close to being gods themselves... so there's all sorts of tension possible from this.

By the way, are insectoid creatures allowed? I'm planning to make nation where multiple types of insect-like aliens unified to form a confederation of sorts.
