Andor Lund

Normally, Andor had a way of missing some things while he was working in the office. Having so much sensory input at once made picking out individual sights and sounds hard at times. But at the time of the announcement, Huginn had the dubious luck of being perched right next to the speaker, and it was nearly impossible to miss his name being blasted across the raven's face.

"I don't think you can tell them to leave a message. Sounds like boss lady." The raven's voice echoed across his mind.

Andor nodded, and outstretched an arm, grasping Huginn and giving the bird a light scratching before putting him up onto his shoulder. He'd already started towards the director's office. After a minute or so, he entered the office, giving a nod to the director. "You called, director?"

"Oooh, look at all the people." Munnin spoke to Andor's mind, both of the one-eyed birds looking around at the gathered group
Name: Andor Lund

Age: 23

Appearance: Andor stands at a respectable 6 feet 5 inches in height. He’s decently built. He has somewhat longer blonde hair. His remaining eye is surprisingly red in color, and the socket of the missing eye is kept covered by a patch.

Huginn and Muninn, his two ravens that are manifestations of his powers, tend to appear on his shoulders. They are both somewhat large ravens, each missing an eye. They do occasionally simply fly around him.

Power: “Huginn and Muninn”. These are manifestations of his power, both appearing as ravens. Huginn is missing his right eye, and Muninn is missing his left eye. Both give different aspects to Andor’s visual and aural senses.

Huginn gives Andor the capability of seeing psychic powers. This does not mean he can tell if someone is psychic, but instead allows him to see psychic powers that are manifested as if they were lights. Each kind of power has its own color. Muninn also pierces illusions if focused enough.

Muninn gives Andor the ability to see and hear any event going on within a couple hundred feet of himself. Normally, activating this causes a bit of sensory overload since he hears and sees so much at once, but with focus he can zero in on specific events.

Biography: Andor was a pretty average American for most of his life. He went to school, got good grades, and went to college the year after many of the psychics started to appear. He’d always thought that they were, in a way, freaks, people whose powers came from some force beyond understanding. Maybe it was radiation or whatever, but he was determined to keep going with his life. He went to a college in California, and his life changed there.

Andor began to see things. He could get brief glimpses of ethereal weirdness, especially around anyone that he knew to be psychic, but he always thought it was normal for that to appear. It wasn’t until a large raven perched on his windowsill that he knew something was weird. The raven had a single eye, blood red in color, and it was quite large.

Oh, and it spoke to him. Andor had an interesting time coming to grips with this, but he had seen that some humans had weird powers, maybe this raven got that too. It called itself Huginn. It asked about Andor, and what he wanted to do with his life, and what it was like to have arms. When Andor finally tired, he slept with Hugin still in the window.

The next day he awoke to a startling revelation - His left eye was missing, gone. And there were two ravens in the room. The second - missing an eye as well, called itself Muninn. The ravens had taken his eye. Or so they said. And then they began to follow him.

And boy did he have an interesting day. The twin birds perched on his shoulders, and he could see many things he couldn’t before. He seemed to know everything that was going on around him, and he could -see- psychic powers. Even the most subtle telepathy shone brightly to him. Andor knew that, like others in the world, he’d manifested some kind of psychic power. And it was horrible. He dropped out of college, because it was impossible to continue when he could tell the goings-on in every classroom in the building at once.

He was homeless for a while. It was hard enough to function right while having the two ravens giving them constant sensory overload. At least they were decent company though.

Sector X found him soon, luckily, and he allowed himself to be recruited. They helped him focus his powers so that he could blank out the input from his ravens and even cause them to vanish until called. Once he’d trained enough, he was given the task of recruitment and finding other psychics.

Hobbies: Spot-the-difference games, talking to Huginn and Muninn.

Personality: Andor is generally a pretty easygoing guy in social situations that do not require a lot of seriousness. If the situation does get serious, he tends to be quite quiet, usually because he’s focusing on his powers. He doesn’t particularly like to fight, instead preferring to observe from a distance if he must. He has proven to be a pretty good marksman though, despite having only a single eye.

Role in Sector X: Finder. Seek out new recruits and get them to join before Shadow can sink their claws into them.
@CodeZX
That's... freaking awesome! :-O

Might I ask what generator you used?

Sindri Holt

In the Gym, after Lunch

The day had been fairly normal for Sindri. Lunch was uneventful, but it was soon after that there was an announcement. Everyone to the gym. A weird thing, since the school seemed to really make sure schedules were tight.

So as he went into the gym, sitting down by some people he wasn’t really familiar with, and he just waited. It was hard to just wait, even with Sindri’s quirks, but it didn’t take too terribly long before the school had been settled enough for the announcement. Someone was found dead. Sindri’s blood chilled at that. Who would possibly have killed someone? Why? There was bound to be tension for sure, but it was a whole other matter to end someone’s life.

Then something happened. It was hard to figure out why, but Sindri felt it. A surge. All around him, things began to go wrong. Someone ignited - or began to, because just as the brunt of the chaos began to explode, time stopped entirely.

“What in the…” Sindri muttered to himself. The scene around him was the beginning of chaos - lightning, fire, dragons, water, plants, everything seemed to be exploding into existence around him. The kid to his left was mid-ignition. Out of preservation, he began to move away, getting up and going about moving, trying to squeeze between people - even touching them would cause a bit of an impact, and he didn’t want to accidentally bruise someone as he made his way towards the door.

Stupid door. It wouldn’t open, not with time frozen. This was a bit of a conundrum.

“Hey Sindri. Neat power.” A familiar voice said from near him.

Sindri paused. “...Amy? How can you even talk to me? Time’s stopped.” He said out loud.

“I’m trying to come up with something enigmatic about time and death.” She gave a vague shrug. “But honestly I don’t think we have the time for it. Here’s the basics though: the school is dangerous, the Standifords are behind it in some way never did figure it out, everyone here has a power, and most importantly the oldest of records are kept in the basement. Any questions?”

“What do you mean by death?” Was the only thing he could think of. Amy gave Sindri a sad look.

“This is my last hurrah. A last ditch effort at helping everyone survive. I don’t have all the answers, maybe I wasn’t smart enough, but I think with everyone working together it can be solved.”

“Y-you mean… you’re dead too…?” He asked, eyes wide. No. No, no, no! That couldn’t happen! Amy was a friend, and there was no way the only person he knew at the school so far was going to die on him on the third day! The emotional pain was… deep.

“I’m sorry Sindri. I didn’t want to go.” Amy’s eyes brimmed with tears. “But listen,” She took a deep breath. “Adien can see ghosts. If I have my way -” Amy trembled, her form wavering. “If I have my way trust her and the other students.”

Sindri didn’t know what to say. “If… If that’s true, then… thank you for being my friend, Amy. I will do what I can to help. At least there’s a chance… to say bye.” He added, tears welling in his eyes.

“Thank you for being my friend too Sindri. When you come back to normal time you might not want to be near Tobias.” She pointed to the sparking boy near the doorway.

Sindri looked at the boy and blinked, nodding. “Alright. Thank you again. This needs to be fixed.” He said, taking the moment of frozen time to move away, leaving a fair bit of room so that he could avoid whatever it was that was about to occur. There was a moment where he turned, wanting to get one last glance at his friend, but she was gone. His heart sank. With a deep breath, he focused and did his best to regain control. Things started up slowly, but that gave him time - as Tobias’s bolt blasted through the door, he was able to keep out of the way entirely. As everything continued to return towards normal, he just did what he could to stay near the door, not wanting to stay near the chaos too long. After a moment, he exited through the freshly blasted door and went to find someone - anyone - who might know what to do.

Glen Kerr

After Lunch, his room

Glen panicked. The initial shock had been blunted by that strange calm that had come over them, but even that had begun to wear off by the time he and Stella had reached Mrs. Standiford’s office. By the time they’d left, told to go to the gym, his mind was racing. Last year, someone had died. This year, within three days, another. What was going on? How could this happen with all these people? Was anywhere safe?

He’d been just through the thought before he saw something. A trophy case - mirrored, but all the trophies were out. He didn’t even consider what Stella might have thought - he was lost in his own fear. He practically leapt into the mirror.

The mirror world was… scary. It felt oppressive, just like the times he’d been in this world inside the main building. But he continued on, heading out of the building’s mirror world and heading to his own room, where he collapsed on the bed, shaking a bit.

It wasn’t long before he looked up, blinking. Something was wrong. Very wrong. The world twisted, and for the first time ever, his reflection stepped out of the mirror - without his help. And then the two reflections of the two glens stepped out. Four of him - in the same room. Somehow, even his reflections had reflections. With a look around, he realized… somehow, this was the real world… and not. “What the hell is going on…” he muttered. All four of him were indeed in various states of concern or fear, but none moved. Every single one shared sight, touch, hearing… it was a state of overload for Glen. It was hard enough to have two of him… and here he had reflections of reflections of reflections of reflections...

“Glen I need you to focus.” An unfamiliar voice broke through at least some of the confusion.

Focus ripped through him, a thousand attention spans looking for whoever it was that had spoken. Someone else… in the mirror world? Was that even possible? “Who… is that?” The voices rippled from every Glen at once.

“My name is Amy Snow. I was a student here. This school is for people like us, people with powers. Nearly everyone has an ability. The school’s dangerous though. It’s not safe here anymore. There’s something important though, something I never figured out. How far back do the school records actually go?”

Glen paused. He had to try hard to focus, and soon only one spoke. “Was? Are you also dead? This school is dangerous, for sure. Three deaths…” He said to himself. “I don’t know how far back they go, though. Do you think they have something important?” he asked.

“I think so. I think that’s why I could never get to them.”

“Then I’ll find out.” all the Glens replied in unison.
“Good luck, to you and the others.”

“Thank you.” They replied. The world began to right itself, reality reasserting itself over the mirror world, reflections vanishing quickly as the mirrored mirror worlds vanished one by one before it returned to the two worlds…

He sighed. Amy was gone. He looked into the mirror, thinking on what to do...

Sorry! I am the worst roleplayer on Earth sometimes.

I can do the thing for theater, but other than that I don't think I really have anything to post for Tuesday.
<Snipped quote by Siaya Dragalorn>
Code and I were in an old WoD game together in 2007, with my then boyfriend and a mutual friend who ran the game. Later on I ran a werewolf game, that both Kittyluna and Code were in, with two other friends (or was it three?). Not sure what else Code has done, but the college games were fun and so ridiculous. Now I'm looking forward to running game again since Kittyluna and I live together (or rather will very shortly).

I also joined a few 3.5 D&D games, and I did quite a lot of online roleplaying.

As for tabletop systems I've done? D&D 3.5, D&D 4.0 (Gamma world setting), D&D Next, FATE, Don't Rest Your Head, Eclipse d20, Call of Cthulhu, Basic Action SuperHeroes (BASH!), Monte Cook's World of Darkness, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Exalted, Inspectres, various freeform, and as of recently Anima: Beyond Fantasy.

I wanna play with you guys though! x_x
So I'm late to the party. Sue me. Disneyland was more important :P

Random OOC conversation starter:

So, how long has everyone on here been writing and/or roleplaying for? Don't feel bad if it has not been that long. No one's judging. I'm just curious and love hearing about that.

I've been roleplaying since I was 12 (So roughly 14 years). Most of my roleplaying has been forum based, but once I got into college I started up with a lot of the tabletop gaming. I've done a fair bit of IM-based roleplay as well.
Sindri Holt + Amy Snow

Monday, 12:30-1:05 PM

Sindri had found the first few classes of the day to be pretty good so far. He hadn’t needed to go out of his way to meet anyone, so he had a few more people that he could talk to when he felt like it. When lunch time came, though, Sindri got a sandwich, looking around and wondering if he could find anyone he recognized. One stood out, and he headed over towards Amy. “Got any free space?” He asked cheerfully.

“Sure thing Sindri, have a seat.” Amy gestured to the empty spot across from her. “How was your first day?”

Sindri shrugged. “Only halfway over so far, but so far it’s not bad at all. Got a nice run in during track.” He said simply, taking a seat across from Amy and going about giving the food a try. It wasn’t horrible, but it was at least edible. This food might make him go almost vegetarian if this kept up. “How about you? Have a good day so far?”

“Yep, we made scones in Home Ec, and they were delicious. I have half of one left over if you want to try?” Amy reached over and lifted from the seat a small package, and slid it over to Sindri.

Sindri looked at the package and nodded. “Huh, maybe I should have taken home ec. Always nice to be able to make a tasty treat. I’ll give it a try, sure.” He replied to her, opening up the package. He pulled out the scone and took a bit of it, not sure if she was offering the whole half or not, so he opted to play it safe and tear off a piece before eating it. He gave a nod. “Pretty good, I’d say.”

“Glad you like it.” Amy grinned brightly. “You can finish it off. I’m not going to, and Luca only wanted the other half.”

Sindri grinned a bit. “Oh, thanks then.” he said cheerfully, going ahead and taking a bite, enjoying it a little. Idly, he looked up at the clock, reminding himself of what time it was. 12:59. Okay, that was good. Plenty of time to relax and enjoy the food and company for the time. “I owe you something tasty.”

“Thanks. So did you get a chance to read the books at all last night?” Amy asked, after she finished chewing her bite of food.

“Yeah, got through about a third of Goldfinger, and I figure by the end of the week I’ll have either finished or gotten mostly through Stranger in a Strange Land” he replied with a nod.

Hold on, that’s odd. Everything had stopped. This was an awkward thing for Sindri. Usually, of course, time did not just up and stop for no discernable reason, especially in a way that he recognized as similar to his own. He hadn’t even seen when the time had actually paused, absorbed as he was in telling Amy about what he was reading. Idly, he looked at his watch. Not moving. Yep. Definitely stopped. “Hmph. Weird. Maybe I should tell the Headmistress.” He thought to himself before going to relax a bit, counting silently to himself. When time reasserted its usual progress, Amy might have seen that he had seemed to flicker, moving as if reality were a movie reel and he’d just skipped a few frames and ended up in a slightly different position than he’d started. And he looked a bit pale.

“You okay?” Amy asked, tilting her head slightly, and glancing up at the wall clock.

Sindri looked back at Amy and frowned a little. “Mmm, maybe not. Maybe I should go see the nurse or something.” He said.

“Do you know where Nurse Joy’s office is? Hope it wasn’t the scone.”

“Yeah, I managed to find all the important buildings and places I figured I’d need yesterday. Sorry to bolt like this, but I’m going to see if I can see her before lunch is over. And unless you poisoned it I doubt that it’s the scone. Heck, if it was I’d still eat it again.” Amy laughed. Sindri went to clean up and start towards the exit.
