Appearance:Judah is a 6'2" tall Native American man with cropped short black hair, dark brown eyes, and high cheekbones. His skin is several shades darker than the average WASP but his father's whiteness makes him lighter than his pure Ojibwe mother. While taller than many people Judah is slightly underweight for his height and seems lanky and somewhat awkward. He is not weak however as his time in the military and before have ensured that while he may not be the most built man, he is at least well defined.
Allegiance: Allies (US Army Enhanced Human Corps)
Nationality: United States (Ojibwe tribe) Race: Superhuman
Personality: Judah is a chipper lad, almost always smiling and cracking jokes. His jovial attitude often comes off as obnoxious and he's gotten into more than one fight because people thought he was mocking them when he was actually being genuine. While not always sunshine and rainbows, Judah also likes to mess with people, playing pranks that run from the harmless to the potentially outright malicious. Under the surface he has a mean streak and can be rather petty when things don't go his way. Though it appears that much of his bad attitude comes from his power suite; he accepted the treatment to become a super hero, not a monster.
History: Born in northern Michigan in 1920 to a single Ojibwe mother and an absentee white father, Judah's early years were a blur of constant motion as his mother bounced the two of them from town to town in search of steady work before eventually settling in Detroit when Judah was seven. While a working poor single parent family in the big city is normally a breeding ground for delinquency in a young boy, Judah managed to scrape by his early years without falling into the cracks like so many others in his situation. this was helped largely by the steady hand of his maternal cousins and grandmother with whom Judah and his mother lived in a packed tenement. The elder males of the family helped to look after the young Judah while it is from his grandmother that he learned much in the way of the oral tradition of his tribe, something his mother actively tried to shun for many years of his life. By and large the rest of his life was uneventful. He went to school, performed thoroughly averagely, got in fights, chased girls, and generally lived an average american life. He was fresh out of high school and working in an auto plant to support the family when war broke out in Europe. Initially the news meant very little to him and many other americans, the Euros were putting up their dukes again but America would remain neutral. However when the Japanese attacked on December 7th, Judah and his male cousins enlisted by December 8th. During the evaluations all of his cousins passed handily and would eventually be flung to all branches of the US military while a "blood abnormality" kept Judah from enlisting. Despondent and fearful that everyone would think him a coward for not going out to fight, Judah returned home and sulked. The next day he got a knock on the door and was informed that the whole thing was a wash and that he had actually been chosen for a (then) highly secretive project. Pumped full of super serum and put through the full rigor of tests Judah was to become one of America's trump cards in a war that was rapidly flying off the rails. When the gruesome nature of his powers came to be known Judah was reminded of one of the stories his grandmother had told him about evil spirits and monsters. From that day forward he donned the callsign "Wendigo" and was readied for deployment Judah was meant to be part of the Enhanced human units deployed during Operation Torch, however after two days of operations it was found that his powers were just as damaging to the morale of his allies, even other Supers, as he was to his enemies and a decision was made to redeploy him somewhere quieter where he could give fewer of his comrades night terrors. Seeing potential in his abilities he was snatched up by the OUJA and sent to the Levant to apparently protect some grave robbers or something, its been a pretty tumultuous week and he's not really sure what's going on yet.
Abilities: Perry is trained in the use of firearms as well as most soldiers. He isn't the best shot in the world nor is he the worst, but they don't exactly pay him to shoot guns. As a super human Cpl Perry has a host of supernatural abilities though his appear to be mainly psychic in nature. These abilities are as follows: Wendigo psychosis: Perry projects some kind of psychic aura around him which manifests in those around him suffering from fits of intense paranoia, the feeling of constantly being watched, and vivid hallucinations. These result in erratic and distressing behavior in affected individuals including the inability to tell friend from foe and in extreme cases even the compulsion to murder and (allegedly) devour their compatriots. While the aura is active Cpl. Perry appears to anyone effected as a terrible monster with long strangely jointed limbs, the face and antlers of a buck, the jaw and claws of a bear, and a distressingly humanoid bodyplan. He is able to control the radius of this ability and turn it on and off, but cannot change who it affects.
Psycho Crushers: The primary offensive power of the Wendigo is the ability to generate spheres of psychic energy which crush, tear, and generally make a mess of anything caught in them. The spheres themselves are about a foot across and he can project them up to distances of about ten or so feet. No more than two of these can be projected at a time and they last for only a split second at most though their destructive power is truly a sight to behold. When used against living tissue the effects are especially gruesome, effortlessly contorting and splitting flesh, shattering bones, and hurling viscera to the four winds. They can also punch through steel armor quite handily but this takes far more time than rending people or other soft targets.
Superior Durability: Like most supers Judah is more resilient than the average man thanks to the super serum. However the serum affected Judah primarily in the mental department and so he is more fragile than his counterparts. He can take hits better than an unenhanced but he is by no means bulletproof, relying instead on the chaos inducing nature of his powers to keep him safe.
Equipment:Standard "real" Super-Soldier uniform, Browning m1911, M1 Carbine, small fetish (supposedly a good luck charm) given to him by his grandmother,

Pretty much done, I want to expand a bit on the personal history bits to make them jive better as its pretty basic at the moment, but otherwise its good for review mon kapitan. It is late and I have a day of work ahead of me so for now I must sleep. I expect that in my tired state its gonna be rife with spelling and grammar issues but I can fix those tomorrow.
I'll get cracking on a character much quickly. Think I'm pretty settled on an American for now but being a soviet still sounds like a grand old time. Either way just restating my interest before I head to bed.
Interested and already buzzing with character ideas but I'm currently leaning towards USA or USSR(how could I resist communist Guyvers?) but have ideas for pretty much every nation.
@Polybius it seems that the idea is to be kinda like old pulpy adventure stories at least to start. I mean the first big thing is exploring ancient crusader castles, doesn't get more Indiana Jones than that. But I expect that as the scope of things expands we'll probably be getting into some heavy shit as war escalates.
The Khans are genetically engineered immortals that require the gene-seed of sentient races in order to perpetuate themselves. They enslave and raid other nations in order to obtain this...material.
Yknow I think I can get behind that. After I posted I was actually starting to think "why not both?" Great minds and whatnot.
The ideas I have can roughly be boiled down to space vampires or space Golden Horde I guess.
Basically for the first the idea is that the nation's aristocracy have through some kind of expensive process which has rendered them functionally immortal and comes with a host of other boons but at the fault of needing constant reapplication of the process which had some kind of nasty side effects (I don't want them to literally be vampires so I'm gonna mix stuff up but it's the idea that came immediately to mind). So the immortal and detached rulers see the commoners as an expendable force for work and warfare and keep them in line by dangling the carrot of immortality for those who distinguish themselves. I want to like this idea but it's still super loose and I haven't gotten it to feel right yet.
Second is exactly what it says on the tin. Haven't put much thought there.
Nothing is final and I don't even know if I want to go forward with either of these, just kinda playing with ideas right now.
