Nira Seritoka
The Chariot

"I don't like it..." Murmured Nira - stopping immediately to gaze around the carriage for whatever the source of the disturbance was. She wasn't certain whether she actually wanted to know, but it was instinctive. As the second lurch hit she felt her already unsteady footing begin to give way. The frozen passengers had began to glow and eerie blue colour, and despite the train moving, they still seemed trapped in time. Just looking at them made her head hurt.

"What the fuck...?"

Nira's eyes switched up to the source of the statement of dismay, before snapping quickly to the rest of her companions. She took a gasping breath - hoping that somebody had a plan to get them out of there. Hoping that she would wake up. Hoping for anything that didn't involve dying on this stupid, creepy train.

It was while she was trying to find somewhere to avert her gaze to that didn't make her feel nauseous for one reason or another that the bat-thing flew in.

She screamed a little - stifling herself with a hand before realising that she needed that same hand to keep her balance. Nothing was going right. She paused for a moment to breath deeply and gather her wits. She reassessed the damage in front of her.

The bat-thing had collided with Whatshisname, who was now lying prone on the ground. There was no blood - no more than there had been before anyway - but the two looked to have had a nasty collision.

It was as the sprite started to speak that she returned to her senses.

"Oh you poor thing!" Nira exclamed - suddenly leaping forward as if the rest of the world around her wasn't happening: as if she were trapped in her own world almost. She dropped to her knees beside the boy and reached out a hand in concern, glancing over the prone body and holding out a gentle hand to the bat-thing. "Are you okay? Your so tiny, that didn't hurt you too much did it? It's okay, its okay..."
Hitoshi could DEFINITELY have been held back if it makes things easier. It was something I thought of while creating him actually.

It's still early - we could retcon the whole different classes thing where it's been mentioned?

Edit: what the hell is wrong with my grammar recently?
I'm just waiting for some other folks to post at the moment.

@LowKey123 we tried this site a year ago and that was our first experience here i shit you not. Anyway, thirst for Persona RP brought us back so that's a story all about how why I have such a low post count.

Anyway, if everyone's having writers block I think I can literally just chuck some plot in there? You'll have to give me a second to like, tie up some loose ends I have going on in the background but yeah. How's everybody doing out there?

Not-so-fun fact - I made my account on this site a long while ago after being recommended by a friend. Then I forgot the place existed until I stumbled upon it over a year later.

Sorry i've been absent and haven't posted guys. I had to go to the hospital and then i've been in bed, highly medicated. As much as i hate to do this, i'll be dropping my character from the rp, since i'll probably be in the same condition for the next 1-2 weeks and i don't want to hold you guys up

All the best - hope things start looking better soon.

Unrelated side note, I'm well aware that the RP is taking place in a city. Hitoshi has a habit of referring to the central area of wherever he is as a Town. Just in case I threw anyone with that. :p
Hitoshi Katsu

The footsteps were the first thing he had noticed - approaching from behind. Of course not knowing that anyone would have any reason to be following him, Hitoshi made to step aside and allow the stranger to pass as they drew closer. When a feminine voice spoke up it didn't quite register at first that she might be speaking to him.

"Hey!"

He glanced aside: catching sight of the girl, waving cheerfully to him.

" ”I’ve seen you around school a lot but I never really got the chance to say hello!”

Huh. Well this was certainly unexpected. Not unpleasant mind, but unexpected. He blinked, then smiled and nodded in greeting. No harm in meeting new people.

Not that she was all that new of an acquaintance - he tended to not pay too much attention to anything other than his lessons at school these days but she did have quite a distinctive appearance. Certainly she had stood out from the crowd on the odd occasion.

"Oh, hey there." He answered - briefly considering slowing his pace before realising that walking any slower would just make things awkward. "Yeah I've seen you around. I'm Hitoshi Katsu - pleased to meet you."

Well he was already planning on slacking off for the evening anyway - it wasn't as if he was in a hurry to get anywhere in particular. And what with most of his friends being out of town... maybe someone to talk to was just what he needed. Not that he would really know what to talk about - saying that he barely knew this girl would be an understate to say the least - but she had been kind enough to introduce herself so that was a good start.

"So, uh... " He didn't want to sound rude, but didn't want to come off as too forward. Just... sort of welcoming.
"... I was just heading into town, got a couple of things I need to pick up. If you're heading that way your welcome to walk with me. Y'know, might get a few less funny looks than if we're walking around like loners or something?"

He laughed a little at his own joke - bad form, but who was going to judge him for it?
@Conflagration I'll pose the same question to you as I did the others. Do you think Hitoshi and Jin are acquainted? Both having been in loads of trouble growing up, it makes sense that they may have crossed paths. Maybe they're friends? Or maybe they're enemies? Your thoughts?

I could see them as having crossed paths at the very least. I could see Hitoshi as having crossed paths with a lot of people, but perhaps he and Jin might have done so before he decided on reforming himself, given their histories. That could lead to some complications...

Hell, go far enough back and they would both essentially be different people to back then. Heh, that could be interesting.
Awesome. Well, here I am!

Surprisingly happy with my first post actually, even though I'm quite aware its not great.

Huh, go figure. :p
Hitoshi Katsu

With a sluggish yet purposeful air, Hitoshi strode out from the school - the bag slung over his shoulder jolting up and down as he descended the stone steps with a qudden burst of energy and returned to his usual gait. Despite his care and attention, his uniform had - as usual - managed to fell into a dishevelled state, but that was all insignificant now. School was over once again and he would need to find a new outlet to dedicate his time towards.

He had meant to join a club - there were a handful that appealed to him and the thought of learning a new skill was alluring... but he had simply never gotten around to it.

"Heh, stupid idea anyway." He muttered to himself. Sure it would have been fun, but he had plenty to keep himself occupied already. As it had turned out, trying to make up for several years of slacking off at school hadn't been easy. Not to mention his training at home: sure he didn't fight anymore, but there were some things that you didn't just give up on after they had been such an important part of your life.

He glanced up at the sky - taking a deep breath of the warm, mostly fresh air and grinned to himself. The breeze caught his hair and clothes as it brushed by gently, whipping them around him in a way that might have been irritating had he not been in such a good mood. Even though he took school seriously, it was great to have a little freedom for once. Hell, he might even skip training and just loiter around town for a while - maybe go for a bite to eat? It would be a nice change of pace to be sure.

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a pack of gum and flicked a piece into his mouth. It was a shame really: so many students and yet he didn't really connect with many at all. It wasn't that he was on bad terms with anyone (as far as he knew anyway) but rather, he was always just there in the background. Most folks could probably have pointed himnout in a crowd, but only a dozen or so could tell you anything about his actual life. Especially since Yuroko had left for the big city.

Ah well, it was a nice day.

Reaching out, he grasped the post of a street lamp on the corner of the street - leaning lazily as he allowed his momentum to swing him around the corner with another small burst of speed. Small scars and a few more recent cuts and bruises were clearly visible adorning the knucked of his hand as he released to post, but he paid them no regard. They had long since stopped concerning him. Right now the only thing on his mind was what to do to waste the next couple of hours.

Yeah, this might just be the best time to get out and just chill for a while.
Character

Name: Hitoshi Katsu

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Arcana: Judgement

Equipment:
- Fist Wraps (and fist weapons in general.),
- Smooth Stone (a large-ish, smooth pebble kept in a pocket. No real function.)
- Black Jacket (Its a jacket and it's black.)
- Sash (a loose fitting sash of light, vibrant red material. Worn like a belt over other clothing. Not part of his day to day attire naturally.)

Skills: Extremely calm and level headed, able to tackle stressful or just plain weird situations without panicing. High pain tolerance and physical strength. A rational and logical problem solver.

Appearance:
Tall and cold of expression, Hitoshi is an imposing figure who stands slightly above the average height of his classmates. While his height helps balance our his physically large build, he is still noticeably bulky - particually around the shoulders.

His features are strong and pronounced - with a distinctive jaw and brow. His expression tends to be thoughtful and unassuming, though this is simply his resting face - it has no bearing on whether or not he is actually contemplating anything. Hitoshi has narrow, steel-grey eyes with a slight blue hue, and his hair is a charcoal black - roughly cut to fall almost to his shoulders. This falls naturally into a swept back position, which is fine as far as Hitoshi is concerned.

He tends to dress in a rather conservative manner, favouring a 'signature' simple black jacket over whatever he is wearing for the day - which usually consists of simple shirts and trousers rather than the more comfortable t-shirts and jeans he wore as a youth. Despite his beat attempts however, he never quite manages to look neat and tidy - it is always quite evident that he is trying to dress in a way which isn't quite natural to him.

Should a dangerous situation arise, Hitoshi will also don a vibrant red sash around his waist - with the intention of making himself more visible to both his friends and his enemies. This is a memento from his unruly days where he learned to fight - brawling on the streets. He also wears fist wraps in such situations - but is not above wielding any other weapons that he can get hold of.

Personality:
Quiet and collected, Hitoshi is a reserved student who consistently achieves good - though not exeptional - grades.

While it might not be initially evident, he is actually quite sociable despite his appearance: his infrequent speech stems from over thinking and self censoring his words rather than any attempt to distance himself from others. Hitoshi knows that it is easy to cause offence with careless words, so always chooses what he percieves to be the most effective way to communicate.

He is very forward with providing his opinions, but always strives to do so in a way that avoids conflict.

Hitoshi will always try to find a way out of a situation before it escalates into something more serious - having had significant anger issues earlier in life has led to him fearing the consequences of losing his temper. He is not afraid to be the first to attack however, if he feels that violence would be the best way to diffuse a situation.

In order to deal with the stress that he bottles up, he has a nervous habit of needing to handle something - anything - to keep himself occupied. He tends to keep some kind of trinket in his pocket for this purpose, the most recent being a smooth, flat stone.

Biography:
Hitoshi grew up in a fractured household. With an abusive father figure, he quickly learned that violence was an easy solution to most problems that life through his way and came to embrace that fact - using it as a defence mechanism to cope with any and every stressful situation that life threw at him. He was an intelligent enough child, but his lack of motivation and drive to tackle problems that could not be solved by attacking them did him no favors in his early school years.

As he grew, Hitoshi became a problem child of sorts - aggressive and hostile to pretty much anyone that crossed his path. He found himself in trouble with the law on more than one occasion and as a result began to gain a bad reputation. Naturally, this only served to fuel his dislike of others and his violent streak. After all, if he was going to be judged to be 'the bad kid' then he might as well live up to the name. After finding himself on the losing side of a number of fights he instigated, he began brawling in a back-ally gathering - determined to become stronger and stronger until he could not be beat.

It was when he was fifteen that the incident occurred. Furious at some trivial insult, the boy lashed out at his brother and caused some serious harm: going as far as to hospitalise his own family. It was a stark wake up call for Hitoshi - who finally saw what he had become.

From that day onward, he changed. He forced himself to bottle up the anger that he felt inside: dreading what he might do to other people - or himself - if he continued down that same path of destruction. He began to focus on his studies and adopted a life of calm, calculated consideration - focusing his frustration, anger and rage into more productive outlets such as keeping fit and learning skills he missed out on in previous years. He began to judge himself - and whether fairly or not, he could not forgive himself for what he had done.

It is not the true face of Hitoshi Katsu, but it is the only one he dares to show the world.
