Still room?
A boy in a turtleneck looked at Sakura and waved at her. She waved back, a little too shy to talk to him. Then she heard a commotion out in the field and rushed over to it, a decision she soon regretted.

There was a warrior in armor, fighting little black and white monsters. They didn't look dangerous on their own, but there were a lot of them. Crap. Looks like I'm going to have to show off a lot sooner than I thought.

Sakura raised her right hand to the sky and cried out, "Dragonfire, ignite my heart!" There was a flash of flame, and when it subsided, Sakura was still there, only now clad in a red and white costume. She pushed off the ground, flew about ten feet up in the air, and slammed down on one of the creatures, turning it to an inky mess. "Need a hand?" she asked the armored figure.
still here.
Sakura brushed a stray hair out of her eyes. Of course, she had gotten up late and hadn't had a chance to brush it. Just what she needed, to look like an absolute mess on the first day of school.

She fingered her ring absentmindedly. That was another thing she had to worry about: someone discovering her identity as The Crimson Flame. Suffice it to say, fitting in with the popular girls was not her top priority, not that it would have been anyway.
Three things. First, I cleaned up my signup post, and made a slight modification by adding in a sword for Sakura. Secondly, as far as the public perception of Crimson Flame goes, she hasn't had a chance to do anything really significant, so most people are reserving judgement on her. Third, I can't come up with an antagonist right now, so if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.
Edited my post.
Name: Sakura O'Hair

Age: 14

Female

Appearance: 4'11", 100 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes. In civilian clothes, she prefers T-shirts and jeans. Her costume is a white shirt with a red flame design on the chest, a long red skirt, a red cape, and a red carnival-style mask. She also grows dragon wings from her shoulder, with a six-foot wingspan. Her weapon is a three-foot sword that she is able to ignite.

Hero Name: She prefers to be called Crimson Flame, but some of the newspapers have taken to calling her The Dragon's Daughter..

Powers: flight, super-toughness, pyrokinesis, fire-breathing.

Item: A golden ring carved in the shape of a dragon, with a ruby in its mouth. To activate it, she says the phrase "Dragonfire, ignite my heart!"

Weaknesses: Vulnerable to ice and water

Personality: As fiery as her alter ego, Sakura is proof that size is no indicator of toughness. She's gotten into several fights sticking up for bullied students. She doesn't like to speak much, and is an avid reader. Her hobby is playing baseball.

Bio: Born to an Irish father and a Japanese mother in Tokyo, Sakura was tormented by bullies from an early age for her heritage. Instead of withdrawing, she stood up for herself and got the bullies to back down. This earned her a lot of respect from her peers, but she still feels like a bit of an outsider.

Last month, she came across a strange ring while walking through the local park. As she picked it up, the knowledge of her new powers came to her almost instinctively. However, knowing how to do something and actually being able to do it are two very different things, and she is still struggling to get her powers under control.
Signing up.
Lizzie was out of options. She doubted anything short of an Abrams tank could bring down the girl in armor, and the other superheroes were proving to be just as obnoxious. Then, she felt the strike of high-caliber bullets. The first couple were nothing more than glancing blows, but the third struck her in the knee joint and she went down in a heap. Desrael raged within Lizzie's mind, but she just couldn't stand anymore.

She'd played a good game, but it seemed she had lost.
Lizzie threw the revving motorbike off herself, but she was still in a bad way. She was injured, outnumbered, and her best offensive spell was useless against the knight. However, there was more than one way to skin a cat.

The battleground was at the bottom of a large hill. Lizzie looked up and saw a truck making a delivery to some store at the top of the hill. Perfect. The truck's parking brake mysteriously disengaged, rolling down the hill towards the heroes. She charged at the gunman, hoping to distract her opponents from the vehicle coming to blindside them.
