@AdobeFlash I believe we are. And now would be a great time to post a CS since we're still on day one IC. c:
@Witch Cat Exactly! Daniyal is one of the characters that I like quite a bit, too, so I didn't want you to think I was bashing him or anything. :>
@Witch cat I was just using Daniyal and Drei as my main examples. I'm sure there are other characters that I'd have concerns about regarding their abilities, too, but I haven't thoroughly read all of the CS's and @JunkMail had already mentioned your character.

Mostly, I was just saying we should all agree that our characters are new as fuck to their powers, and that Henry should be too as far as his size and reptilian features. But, if we're gonna nitpick powers that are too OP or advanced right now, we should make sure we do it to everyone and not just new profiles to make sure things are fair. c:

EDIT: On a side note, @Dusksong, I meant to ask if it was okay to assume Aleyna wasn't in uniform after my last post but I forgot to ask. Thanks for going along with it. :B
@Jotunn Draugr My bad! I skimmed over her character but I didn't read it in detail, so I thought maybe she'd been there for a year or whatever already. Ignore me. :d
@JunkMail

I like Henry. :B But I think if the govt was going to go so far out of their way to get special gear to move him, there would have to be one of two things going on: A, he would need to be beneficial enough to society for them to justify the cost. Overall, the goal of the Facility is to train them to use their powers and, if they're successful, move them into populated areas (or wherever) in order to help society. Or B, there would have to be a number of larger Malfunctions that they already have that sort of gear for, which is definitely a possibility! I just dunno if many of our other members have thought about it very much.

I must say that he doesn't have any of the banned powers. Being super big and super strong is hard to counter, but it's not the same thing as "true invulnerability". It's also true that Daniyal's power to warp reality can be considered pretty badass, but it seems like @Witch Cat is pretty much limiting it to him making things explode by manipulating molecules (correct me if I'm wrong, Witch Cat), so if that's true it doesn't bother me. The one thing I do have to mention, though, is that Daniyal's ability to also warp the characters minds is on the banned power list (mind/emotion control).

Also, if Drei's ability is able to kill everyone in the same room as him, as @Treue just mentioned, then that would also kind of violate some of the banned power (your power being strong enough to OHKO another super or destroy a building in one hit and death touch), but it violates them in a sort of indirect, almost okay sort of way. It's not exactly a touch of death and he's not exactly destroying a building in one hit, but it is killing everyone in the building in one toxic hit.

I'm not saying that I want anyone's abilities to change, I'm just saying we should all either agree that it's okay for our characters to be almost-too OP as long as their weaknesses and limitations make up for it, or we should all agree that the things mentioned above are something the characters won't be able to do for a long, long while.

It's mentioned in the original post that all of our characters should be very new with their powers, because of the system of testing them every year. So I think that everyone should be very, very inexperienced. More specifically, in Henry's case, maybe his full transformation isn't complete? I think once he started having a few scales pop up in visible places, they would have already shipped him off to the Facility. Keep in mind that we're all supposed to be in the same batch of Mal's. They were all taken there together and sorted into groups of forty, so if a character had been there for longer and had developed their powers more, they would at the very least be in a different room than everyone else.

That also means that Daniyal should currently be limited to molecule manipulation, and Drei shouldn't be able to use super-toxic substances yet. I made my character based off of the fact that they weren't supposed to be too powerful or used to their powers, so Marlowe can't even control her abilities right now. All she could do is make someone a little sick, so I think we should all be on the same page as far as how developed our characters are.

(I was also going to mention this to @Jotunn Draugr since it seems like Xiu has already been there in her first IC post. I think we were all sorted at the same time so we all arrived on the same day, otherwise we wouldn't be in the same room as her. But please correct me if I'm wrong @SecretlyDiscord).

Sorry for the rant. :d These are just my thoughts on what would be the most fair for the characters that have already been created, and for Henry, too.
Marlowe Tolfell

Marlowe chuckled when Vincent flustered and introduced himself, but her smile faded quickly when he went back to the subject of prejudice and hardship. Her own parents had always encouraged the harshest treatments of Malfunctions. She struggled with the idea of being one for a long time. She had always believed in their point of view until it happened to her. When she found out she was a Malfunction, Marlowe thought her personality would dissolve and she would become something monstrous. But it never happened. She was the same as always. It took her a long time to understand that being a Mal wasn't the same as being a bad person (and that Mal's were still people).

"At least you weren't alone." She responded, interrupting her own thoughts.

But she wasn't given a chance to continue when a girl joined into their conversation. For a long few minutes the stranger stood there quietly. Marlowe was about to ask what she wanted when she noticed how scared and confused she looked. She felt a little guilty for what would have been a blunt questioning on her part, and smiled when the girl introduced herself. She was about to return the formality when Aleyna started asking about the train. Her smile dropped again.

"We haven't been on the train for hours. We're already at the... facility." Marlowe muttered, looking around darkly. She hadn't seen anyone brought in unconscious but it had been such a commotion that she wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't noticed. Briefly, she wondered if Aleyna had been hurt, but looking her up and down Marlowe decided that she was fine. Aleyna was slender like she was, but quite a bit taller. She had pretty hair, Marlowe thought, slightly envious, but she was more focused on how cheery she was able to be. She wasn't able to crack a smile that genuine in times like these. Maybe it was because she didn't remember much.

"You should change into your pajamas." Marlowe pulled at her own shirt to show her what they should look like, but when she thought about it, it wasn't necessary. Everyone around was wearing them. They were more of a uniform than PJ's, but she didn't want to make it sound like it was an issue. Usually she wouldn't mention it, but in this place she wasn't sure when a guard would notice or what kind of response they would have. It wasn't worth the risk over something so petty.

"They should be on your bunk. We're required to wear them." She added, just so that Aleyna wouldn't misunderstand.
@Jotunn Draugr My character also suffers from numbness, so if they get set up to spar against each other it would be really interesting (and bloody)! We should make it happen. :B Although... Marlowe would get her ass handed to her.

Just got an IC up. Mediocre post is mediocre, but at least it's there! ;3;
@Treue I find his ability really interesting, and I've always been attracted to those sort of reckless-but-still-a-good-guy kinda personalities. :B Makes me wanna interact with 'em.

Aaaahuuugh, I've been working on my post but I'm having a hard time getting it to be something I like. I'mma take a little break, should have something up tomorrow.
@Treue That's true. I was thinking they'd explode if they got withings 3 feet of the forcefeild like the collars, but they should definately be in their necks. Like in the side so it's not a delicate area for them to insert them?

EDIT: Also did I mention that I love Drei? :B
@Dusksong We'll I think @DarkwolfX37's whole point is that we shouldn't have the technology to turn off their powers, or go through dimensions, etc.

I think the combination of the forcefield and an implant chip to keep them in or to kill them if they get out of hand is enough without turning off their powers. Especially since all the Mal's who are crazy powerful get executed anyway.

But I agree with everything else you said. I feel like collars have a visual appeal for some people, but it just makes more sense for them to have chips. Takes less money to make.

Pluuuus, it stops the govt from looking like they're keeping slaves. If the govt is going through the trouble of calling it a "Training and Education Facility", there's clearly a certain image they're trying to uphold.
