Also started replaying Dishonored for the first time since 2012-3. Still love the world and atheistic. Stealth route is not as satisfying but more fulfilling.

I started playing through XCOM 2 for the first time since Feb. There's a lot of BS still going on, but it's addictive as ever.

@DancingEagle The Ryukyu Empire is willing to take you on any day :P
Also, Ryukyu has the resources to constantly fund said pirates and bandits, even in peace.

That said, seeing as how similar Ryukyu and Oxfreight is in technology and relative power (Oxfreight has a larger navy but Ryuykyu has a larger army), should the two nations do go to war, the entirety of the eastern lands of Tannis would be medieval nuked to hell. That said, it could also result in a sort of "world war" as the nations that have close ties to one nation might fight on the side of that nation against the opposite nation.

But in the mean time, let us have tea and discuss possible trades :3

If the only way to trade with Ryuykyu is to put their flag on Oxfreight's ships or some other arrangement, Yuard will probably do so, as it's substantially less costly and risky than escorts or, you know, war. Although, if we must battle, I do like the idea of something like World War One, where the world was a clusterf--k of alliances and promises, and the events for the 1910s slowly unfolded into an all-out war.
John begins to understand the hole he - or rather, his voices - dug to himself. Themselves. Whatever. After failing to barter his pants before, AGAG believes it is prime time for another try, considering the trouble they're both in.
"Look guys," John says, "I know I messed up", he continued, as he's interrupted by Greg. "'Messed up' is an understatement! Give me one reason why I shouldn't call the fucking police!" Greg shouts, enraged, as his face turns to a shade or red. "But won't you like..." John slowly removes his pants, revealing a short boxer. "THESE wonderful pants?" he introduces his pants, and begins to toy with them, as the other people around John feel like he's either a pervert or an insane person.

(You have a skill for that. Rolled 74. Success is 50-100)

One of the paramedics feels compassion towards John, and believes he's just a crazy guy sent to a world that doesn't want him there. "Okay, fine", he says reluctantly, as John gives him his pants, and everyone else looks stunned. "Let him go. He's harmless." he attempts to convince Greg.
Greg sighs and thinks for a second. Mind you, John is now pants-less. "Pfft, fuck it. Don't want to mess with those po-po anyways", he concludes. "Now get the hell out of my sight before I change my fucking mind", he commands John.
John promptly says "Thank you, Greg!" and runs off to the street...
Says you cam squeeze in one more. Am I worthy enough to meet the requirements O' Wise GM?

Oh, wha-- Sorry there. I was prepping for some tests and having to go through a few real-life events. Uh, no. The guy we squeezed in, Ahmed, makes this game have quite the roster, and we don't need another voice, thanks. I really need to change that already.

(Also, everyone else, I've been basically busy with real life. Sorry for the hiatus.)
<Snipped quote by ClocktowerEchos>

Yes, seeing as Ryuku has a big navy while Terus has 10,000 city guards and 8,000 border guards, I doubt banditry or piracy would be an issue. What could be problematic (or just more stops along the trade route of fun, metal, happiness, sugar, and technology) are Vathcras and Oxfreight. Both have good navies. Any thoughts, @Sini and @DancingEagle ?

Anyways, I'll see about adding a paragraph to my sheet mentioning the trade. How do you feel about this for starters?

"Within the past century, the Dominion of Terus has also established contact with the distant Ryuku Empire. The Azracs were impressed by these foreigners' advanced technology and wealth, while the Ryukuans greatly desired many of Azraca's resources. Naturally, a trade route soon developed. The Terusites were glad to take Ryukuan gold in exchange for Azrac's famed leathers and the iron that they would have otherwise discarded in favor of bronze. Other miscellaneous goods such as sugar, exotic foods, and pearls are shipped by the boat as well, but perhaps the most important trade good for the Terusites is knowledge. The Terus dynasty was the first to begin hiring Ryukuan scholars and artisans to share their secrets, but now the other major lords are beginning to take suit. Slowly, this trade route is helping to modernize Azraca and better equip the Ryukuan army."

I see that some of your troops use leather armor. Incidentally, I have leather as a unique resource so I figured I'd throw that into the mix of trade goods as well.

DancingEagle Wakes up from his sleep. As his eyes come alive, he understands his situation. "Wha- What- Who are-", but then the reality of the situation sinks in. "Oh, yeah. Hi. Sorry about that." He says, enthusiastically."

Bad self-insert RP joke aside, yeah, I know I haven't been very active on the OOC, or at all lately in here. Had some tests to prep to, as well as some real-life events and occurrences.
After catching up with some of the many discussions here on OOC speak I have to say the "we hire pirates, so trade under our banner" idea is pretty intriguing and can lead to some interesting moves from Oxfreight and Ryuku, but also to some annoyances with trade and the navy, with them having to constantly spend resources on escorting pirate ships. I can imagine Yuard, the arrogant Great Leader of Oxfreight, going so far as to battle with Ryuku to the death if diplomacy won't work. So, you know, up to you.
"Of course!" Join thinks. "Well," John explains to the paramedics, "I was testing your reaction time as part of the test. You might find actual insane patients behave like that, and we wanted to know if you would be up to the task".

(You have a skill for that. Rolled 28. Success is 50-100)

"Uh... Okay..." Retorts a paramedic, "We've been here for the past 10 years and we never had a mental patient behave like that. In fact, 911 calls up a different facility if they encounter insane people. We were called in because we thought you are contamina-" Stops the paramedic, and looks at his friend. "He still may be, a tester or not." Responds his friend. "Please, Mr. John, come with us to the hospital, we have to get you checked! This contamination is dangerous!" He continues, and grab John by both arms, dragging him back to the ambulance while Greg sprints out, enraged.

"Who the fuck was that?! I just called the Department of Health and they never sent a tester to us! This guy is an imposter, and you believed him, you ignorant fucks!" He shouts, as everyone looks a John.

(Sandra failed a roll. It's AGAG's turn)
@rocketrobie2
Is this still open? Because I would love to be a John.

Uh, no. Trying to keep this small so everyone who joins could play without much waiting.
"What? But you just told me to ru...", John exclaims while limping away from the ambulence staff, quickly catching up to him. After it becomes clear to him that the crew is about to catch him, he decides to do what he was just told. He stopped, put his hands up and turned to the staff as they slow down and grab him by the arms. "You passed!" John said happily. The two paramedics, while dragging him back to the ambulence, seemed dumbfounded once more. "Passed what?" one of them inquired sarcastically. "The test, silly!", John explained and giggled. "I work for your boss, and I was deliberately placed in that zoo by your boss in order to test your preformence and care for the people you bring in, of course! It seems you passed with flying colors!" John continued. (You have a skill for that. Rolled 96. Success is 50-100.) The paramedics seemed convinced. They smiled to each other, released John from their grasp, and even high five'd. "It seems we've made a terrible mistake, Mr..." a paramedic said. "John. Mr. John." John responded. "Yes, Mr. John. I'll tell Greg about this. Just a question, Mr. John," the other paramedic asked, "Why did you jump out? You could've just told us you're working with our boss there." he continued. John looked up and seems praying for help...
Well, this was an interesting start. Here is the 2nd turn order: Sandrea (96) AGAG (70) Vlad Karloff (56) Harry (51) Ahmad Abu Ra'as (3) So, @Darcs, you're up next.
"Running away, huh?" John whispered to himself. "What did you say?" One of the paramedics said. John didn't answer. When the ambulance stopped to a red light, John detached the needle off of his arm, got up from the ambulance emergency bed and attempted to jump through the ambulance doors... (You don't have a skill for that. Rolled 19. Needs 85-100 to succeed) John jumps out of the ambulance, opening the ambulance's back doors forcefully, hearing a faint "What the fuck?!" scream from behind him. Unfortunately, blasting through the doors slowed down his speed, and he landed roughly on the aspelt, almost hitting his head on a car behind the ambulance. His arm began to bleed due to him removing the intravenous therapy needle, and some small scars appeared on his face due to the fall. His legs aren't broken, but he has trouble running, or, hell, walking. After getting up, John began to run away from the ambulance, or should I say, limp away - while the ambulance stops next to the sidewalk, and its staff runs towards John, while the driver, Greg, seems to call someone from inside the ambulance. (You failed a roll, next's turn voice)
Sorry for not being active in here for a bit. I'm fine with my pros/cons, looking forward to starting this.
