If Dust is analogous to a weird blend of Westeros and Essos, and Ash is basically all Essos, but a little underdeveloped compared to actual Essos. Then Isla Diablo is probably analogous to Sothyros.
Which means it's got dinosaurs and manticores but no one ever actually goes there and it's just horrible. I feel like we should retcon some names though-- Ash might be a more appropriate name for Isla Diablo than Ash. I wanna give Binary Star a more apropos name anyway.
Question; Could I make one character with the Walkers and one character with the CDC group? Or do you have any specific preference for characters you need in certain places?
@Azseth Sorry, was sleeping, just got up-- I already read all the rules in the Interest Check and came over here to read the new stuff in the OOC, I could probably have a (or two) character(s) up in a few hours at a minimum. I haven't read through the IC yet, though.
Name: Daniella Guabancex Nieto Also Known As: Dani, Dani California, Pussy Cat, Other Injun
Age: 32 Appeared Age: 28
Height: 6' 1" Weight: 168 lbs
Eye Color: Black Hair Color: Black-brown
Physical Identifiers:
Typically sports a black eye, or some other battle-scar from a recent struggle, typically worn on her face
Larger than average, grey-black cat-like eyes
Appearance:
"A woman, sitting on a stool stolen from a local bar, leaned out, blowing smoke into the the desert air. Like the boy, she resembled one of those brown warriors from the Old Old World, she had the tattoos, but not the face paint. Each breath she took tied her to a tribes whose name was all but forgotten, and she had the scowling glare of someone who didn't care. The world, her life, her smoking-- had given some age to her round face-- bags and crows feet were beginning to plague her almond shaped eyes, her nose was bent, ever so slightly, and a permanent diagonal scar ran it's length, she nursed a recently scabbed over wound on her bottom lip, more likely from a club than a punch. In spite of discolorations and scars dotting her body, she possessed an enduring, almost exotic beauty that many would refuse to deny. Her beauty had served her very little.
She gazed out of the window tired, despite the day just having begun. The woman well built, possibly even moreso than the boy; a lifetime of bad decisions endowing her with a body of enviable hip and muscle. She wore a dusty, faded black and white poncho, that may have had more stitches than the original fabric itself, underneath was a long sleeved black shirt. On her legs were worn black skinny jeans, rolled up to her calves to allow her to hear shin hugging, golden cowboy boots. Very clearly stolen.
Then again, everything this woman wore was stolen.
Well, everything except the scarf she wore on her head and held her hair, a long black mess of curls, straight hair, and unfinished braids, back in a pony tail like a gypsy. That was a gift from the boy to her. Combined with loop earrings and her propensity for stealing only colorful jewelry, she looked like a mesh between a pirate and a cowboy."
Daniella, along with her twin sister Jolyne, were raised with a fairly normal lower class life in Motum Diversum's territories. Their life was one with relative safety guaranteed, and not much else. They went hungry most nights, and both girls grew up resenting he powers that be-- people disconnected from where they were in life, only protecting them to profit from them. The pair's parents died young, and they were raised primary by their grandmother, a high profile cat-burglar in her time with a dedication to keeping Taino heritage alive.
As the pair grew, they both adapted and gravitated to the careers most suited to them-- Jolyne became something of a mercenary, in and out of MD jails, and Daniella, likewise, resorted to petty thievery to get by. The pair was always close, and so it makes sense that when Jolyne became romantically attached to the man known by some as Long John, Daniella became familiar with the man. It would make sense, also, that when the birth of Jolyne's son with the man, Danny, is what killed her-- that Daniella would still keep in contact with him, that through her he could serve as a conduit to support his son-- one of many illegitimate offspring, no doubt.
With the death of her sister, Daniella hasn't quite felt whole. Perhaps that's why her Immortal ability-- something she sees as a gift from the Taino god of storm (a presence always with her, as her middle name)-- allows her to invade the minds of others. Without her sister, she feels as though she's lost a part of her own.

Name: Evelyn Marohu Tijoux Also Known As: Abuela, Old Cat, The Injun
Age: 77 Appeared Age: Mid to late 50's Height: 5'5" Weight: 130 lbs
Eye Color: Brown Hair Color: White/Grey
Appearance:
She looked like a she-wolf with the gray mane of a lion, her physique was one of a fragile china doll, harsh wrinkles snaked her tiny, shrunken body. She usually looked like the type of old woman who would greet anyone with a smile and offer them a bowl of subpar salamander soup and cookies.
A retired cat burglar with an obsession for her Taino heritage. Raised Danny and Daniella. Prefers Wintergold over Motum Diversum and moved the family to Ash for the ease of crime the island allows.
Gear
Weapons:
Baira: A classical preserved Taino bow, made of lightweight Guayacan wood. While originally designed by the largely peaceful Taino for hunting, this bow has proven itself extremely effective at silent attacks from a large distance. It weighs about 50 pounds, and is capable of accurately hitting targets from as far away as the length of a football field, when in the hands of the correct user. Despite her age, Evelyn's experience as a hunter and a sniper with the bow make her more than qualified.
Arrow(s): 3 to 5 foot rods of sharpened wood made by hand. Years of making the arrows have made Evelyn a master in the art, and the quality she puts in her work typically offsets the fact that the arrows are made of whatever low quality wood she can find on dust.
Manaya: A classical preserved Taino hatchet. Just as durable as any modern hatchet, it is also incredibly lightweight, and used with ease despite Evelyn's age. Can be used effectively in combat and for utility.
Poison:
The Taino developed several non-lethal poisons, that can be administered through the head of an arrow. Evelyn has memorized and continued to perfect her ability to create such poisons to keep their traditions alive.
