•	Personality: Hot blooded. Brash. Asshole. If you look these words up in the dictionary, you’d find a picture of a man with a shit-eating grin, middle finger extended to the photographer. Beneath, you would find the caption, “Cadet Nikolas Glasere”.
Abrasive, condescending, and pointlessly cruel, Nikolas has a mouth like a sailor which he proudly claims he learned from his drill sergeant, and a hatred for young recruits to match. He has a passionate dislike for pilots younger or more inexperienced than he, especially if he considers them liability to the team. 

While he will follow a chain of command, Nikolas is not above defying or outright negating orders, especially from those in ‘at some distance’ command if he feels, as he puts it “Would do jack shit.” This has led to him being nearly court martialed on more than a few occasions, but has managed to avoid any sort of decommission every time due to their being a certain lack of soldiers willing to fling themselves in the thick of things.

There is a bit of a silver lining; to those who manage to endure his endless insults, ill temper, and survive on several mission with him, will earn the closest thing to ‘respect’ with him and find him mildly more amicable, and first to stand between harms way for them. 

If one searches deep…. Deep…. Deeeeeeeeep past all of this, they will realize they have “the meanest mother f*cking Martian,” alongside them to fight the Cruxi.

Either way, someone is gonna get screwed over.

•	Other things: Quite possibly an alchoholic, often seen with a flask in hand and is also not above taking a swig on missions. Though his COs continued to confiscate his booze, the insufferable Glasere continues to produce vast quantities of the stuff.

•	Signature Weapon System:  The primary weapon feature of the Vanguard are the two large pile bunker-like arms infused with graphene, capable of easily punching through and blowing a Cruxi ship into scrap metal by altering the pressure inside. While the pile bunkers are stationary on the arms, a piston underneath them that sticks out through the rear and punches forwards when used. While in addition to being capable of piercing nearly all substances with its tips, it also shoots air pressure generated from the piston out from the front, that reacts to the internal pressure in the target that essentially gives it a literal "explosive piercing" punch. 

•	Secondary Weapon System:  To allow it to enter the fray first, the Vanguard comes equipped with Banzai chemical thrusters, capable of producing a forward propulsion of 36,000 miles per hour.

•	Weight Class: The Vanguard is a heavy-weight class type frame, its heavily alloyed armor resistant to plasma and kinetic weapons yet lacking in nimble maneuverability. While the Vanguard’s powerful thrusters allow it to cross the distance necessary to afford it the element of surprise on unsuspecting targets, it lacks the powerful strafing thrusters for easier rotation. Furthermore, the Vanguard stands at about 6 meters, far smaller than most other Frames, in order to achieve the greatest effectiveness with fuel for its Banzai thrusters. As a result, the Vanguard possesses somewhat smaller energy reserves than most other units.

Regardless, the Vanguard’s primary purpose is to function as a living bullet: directly engaging with an enemy line to draw attention and fire, while its compatriots move into position.
