Current That isekai idea works until you take into account the advanced part and include things like AI, brain machine interfaces, etc. Knowledge can just be downloaded.

Unless you love kids a little too much, then a prison sentence is what can be done about it.

*I sit cross-legged on the floor, the remnants of my morning meal still sat on the table in front of me. My eyes are closed and my breathing is steady as I gradually enter a meditative state*
Give me a second and I can get a link to the actual roleplay, which is dead now, but it offers much needed context as to Talus whole deal.

I see, question. Are his benefactors human supremacists? Or at least wouldn't like another species posing a threat to humanity? Perhaps it's not just that Herman is a cyborg, but that my bad guys, the Order also are very dangerous and needing to be dealt with? How big of an organization are his clients? Would they be willing to mess with another military faction to protect humanity? I ask this because Herman is a hardened soldier. deviantart.com/jaredthefox92/art/Kapi…

Human supremacists? Yes. See all of this was made for a different roleplay in casual the name of which I've forgotten, but Androids in that were ancient creations from a sort of galactic dark age, and thus weren't really trusted by the current reigning government even though they were just independent consciousnesses based off of unmodified organic minds. I just took his benefactors to the extreme and used the government's total lack of care when it came to dealing with Androids, not to mention widespread corruption, as the reasons why they were able to get as much sway as they did. Because while they outwardly dedicated themselves to removing Androids who posed significant threats to the system and such at large, their real goal was to eliminate Androids as a whole.

And what better way to do that than fighting fire with fire, and one you can easily terminate at that?

I also can't say how big they are exactly because in my mind they were more of a shadowy, illuminati type organization who had a lot of influence and resources at their disposal. But yes they are more than willing to interfere if need be.

Then I'll use Herman, Herman is um..weird. He's actually a military officer so Talus could just have a contract to take him out. Herman would just see him as one of his enemies to fight or a simple assassins.Herman also fights humans in the lore.

Well the thing about Talus is his benefactors want troublesome androids gone regardless, and only use him because he's good at hunting them compared to a normal human, so it's not inconceivable that a cybernetically enhanced military officer might become something they deem a threat in some way. Also yes, what I'm saying is that they view Talus as a valuable yet expendable asset, and to a certain extent he knows this too, but can't just run off since they have ways of finding him.

Hmm, so a good old fashioned cyberpunk shootout. Turning superpowers off, I have two characters as of now I am thinking. One is a cyborg, the other is just some ex-navy seal soldier guy. Herman and Rukus. If you're looking for cyberpunk then I can use Herman, but know he has the ability to close in and melee well. Rukus is my go to sniper guy, I am presuming good old fashioned kinetic rounds work on both combatants, so Rukus can be good. I have other near that level, but my issue is trying to find the non-super powered ones. Amanda is also good at shooting, but she has telekinesis and that wouldn't be as fair.

Either Herman or Rukus can work, just keep in mind that Talus' cloak offers some protection against kinetic rounds, though it doesn't make him invincible of course. As far as plot goes I think the cyborg might be better even if he does have melee, since I can adjust and say Talus took a knife with him from his armory just in case, and because Talus job is hunting rogue androids. And while not exactly the same, a cyborg is practically 50% machine, so it'd kind of make more sense.
Last I checked the rules on the Discord are the same as on here, but that didn't stop certain individuals from being a problem. Then again the Discord also had a dedicated politics channel until recently, which is where most of that kind of stuff got dumped, so with its deletion I assume it'll help stop the problem. Or at least make it easier to tell which users are being bigoted and which aren't, since they can't hide it behind a political dissertation anymore.

Anyway, mini tangent aside, the rules are the same but the problem remained regardless. Hence the desire for clarification and specification.
I have many characters, but for the time being I'm only using this one.

As for what kind of fight, well firearms are playing a major part and if we are subscribing to the brutal aspect of it, then do be ready to possibly die in a single post. Not holding back with a melee weapon leaves room for an opponent to counter, but the same can't necessarily be said about a gun.

see, like this guy! Making a sockpuppe to inflamate discussion is exactly the kind of person you don't want in your forum hemisphere.

Imagine having so little spine you must make a sockpuppet account just to inflame...

As for the rest of this, I've stated my views on the Discord, so I don't see much point in mentioning them again after so much discussion and debate elsewhere.
You may or may not have my interest.
