Current It's been a long time, RPGuild. I hope you're all well.

Bio

HI THERE~!

Thank you for visiting my profile!

You can call me Destiny. I am a 26-year-old pansexual woman from the USA who has been roleplaying since 2007. I got my start on a Kingdom Hearts fan-forum, and now here I am! My roleplaying interests include slice-of-life, romance, drama, fantasy, and anime fandom. Did I mention I am a HUGE otaku? :D

I write at a high-casual/advanced level as far as the amount of content I write per-post, but I'm not into flowery language most of the time. My writing is very simple, with a lot of the focus being on the characters and how their thoughts and feelings are developing. Realism is the name of my game! This stems from the fact that, when I am not roleplaying or slaving away for a large technology conglomerate at my day job, I am working on plays and films as a professional actress. With this being my passion, it's quite literally my job to pick apart each character's brain to find the motivation behind their words and actions. I'm just saying, that kind of obsession shows in my writing.

For my partners, I mostly do 1x1 RPs unless a group really catches my eye. I expect 2-3 paragraphs per post and prefer those who can respond at least once a day. Original stories catch my eye more than fandoms, but I don't rule anything out until I've tried it- trust me, if something's not working I'll let you know. I do not write smut, but if it is story-driven I will consider 18+. I'm really not picky; these are just guidelines for how to *guarantee* I will love our RP! I've been surprised before!

A fair warning in advance: I'm also a little crazy. I am diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression, so if I am feeling off I may just stop responding. My mental health does come first. Rest assured, I will pick up the pieces and clear my head enough to reply soon. I use my writing as an outlet, so I can never stay away more than a couple of days. That being said, my Guild partners are my family. Y'all have helped me through the worst times of my life and continue to remind me why I'm still alive on this Earth. So just know that I am here to do the same for any of you, even if we've just met. :)

Anywho, if this sounds like your thing then shoot me a PM! I swear I'm friendly, albeit a little strange, and I don't bite (hard)!

At first, Cinera had not registered that the voice she heard was directed at her. She had her hands over her face, trying to hide from everyone and everything as she unsuccessfully battled against her hyperventilating. It wasn't her intention to get sympathy from others. Honestly, she was just having a really hard time with this game. Just on the way to this town, she had nearly died... twice. Both times from low-level creatures overtaking her. It was embarrassing to a gamer such as herself, and it was terrifying to think that she could not protect herself in this world. She wanted to grow stronger, so that she wouldn't have to depend on a group, but everything about this game was just so confusing! Her actual body had little to no stamina, and while that doesn't entirely transfer over to SAO, it is enough to hinder her abilities greatly. She did not have enough coordination to fight in this game, and the controls were so... so... realistic.

After a moment, her breath caught in her throat and she nervously peeked up to where the voice was coming from. This stranger was holding his hand out to her, offering for her to join them at their table. It caught her by surprise, to be honest, but more than anything she was just embarrassed to be such a sobbing mess in front of strangers. Even still, her breathing would not slow and the tears kept pouring out as her body shook. She was so afraid. This game... She could really, actually die. That thought kept swirling in her head as she quickly stood, not using the stranger's hand for support. Cinera was so overwhelmed at everything right now, she wasn't trying to be rude; she just had no idea how to react, right now. It took every effort to get her body to move, at all.

When he noted that the game was picky, she glanced over and saw that the bread had, indeed, evaporated. Now she only had six small loaves in her inventory... Would that be enough for the group? Would they still accept her when she'd been too clumsy to even complete such a simple task? Her hand covered her mouth as she wrapped her other arm around herself, still shaking. I think I'm going to be sick... Suddenly, she heard another voice and saw that there were actually multiple people sitting at the table, all staring at her. Something about the new stranger's question made her calm down, and as she realized how rude she was being she tried to take a few deep breaths. Unsuccessfully, all she managed to stutter out was, "I-I'm sorry... I'm sorry........ T-Thank you..."

But the tears kept coming, and Cinera felt like she would break. Am I having a mental breakdown...? I can't stop shaking... I want to go home... She had held in the shock for too long, trying to get to this town. Now it was just too much for her to handle.
@Zelosse Would it help if I bold the speaking lines? If not I'll just color the dialogue. :)
In an attempt to maybe incur some more interaction for those of us not quite brave enough to venture downtown, yet... If anyone else lives in an apartment, feel free to bump into me or hear my scream lol. Since it's a fictional town, we could very well live in the same apartment complex. ;)
It was late in the evening, and Destiny was eating dinner alone in their living room when the first news article showed up on her Facebook page. A town nearby had identified someone as having a "zombie-like" virus. It was a story she had seen on her feed several times in the previous years, so she had assumed it to be fake and continued scarfing down her chicken-fried steak TV dinner. With her husband currently at work, she figured that she would watch a few episodes of Durarara and then head off to bed. Their darling puppy had already curled into his kennel and fallen asleep, so after awhile she did the same. The morning provided quite a shock, though, as she woke up to find that her husband had never returned home from his shift.

In an immediate panic, she stumbled out of bed in her blue nightgown and unplugged her cellphone from the foot of the bed, calling him. There was an immediate dial tone. Thinking she could call their manager, she dialed the number for the office and waited. Once again, an immediate dial tone. This is strange... Is my phone broken? Destiny looked at the screen and noticed it not only had no bars, but no internet, either. So she made her way out of the bedroom to try and contact him through the computer. Had he gotten in an accident? Was he in the hospital? All her mind could focus on was Dustin. She did not even notice her puppy whimpering in the corner, having sensed the impending doom that had fallen on Enapay overnight.

Once she realized that the computer had no internet, she began to really worry. What was going on? It seemed strange for all of their electronics to stop working at the same time. Her tablet, Dustin's laptop, they all had no service. Things were only beginning in this town, and Destiny was completely oblivious. All she wanted was to know where her husband was. Decidedly, she put on a fresh pair of clothes and brushed her hair. It would be best just to go down to the store and see what had happened. After all, he might have been mugged or something and the manager wouldn't even have any idea. The worst images of him laying in an alley somewhere treaded through her mind.

Locking the puppy in the kennel, she pet his head, assuming he was whimpering because she was leaving. "It's okay. I'll be home soon!" She gave him a half-hearted smile before darting toward the door. She opened it wide, only to be greeted with the worst smell she had ever encountered, and a bloody face with hands reaching out toward where the door had once been. It took her a second to process what was in front of her. This man, with brown hair falling from his head, reeked and was covered in what Destiny had immediately identified as blood. Her eyes glanced over his peeling, decaying skin for only a moment before she let out a blood-curdling shriek that echoed throughout the apartment building, and then promptly slammed the door in its face.

Zombie... THAT WAS A F*CKING ZOMBIE!
Eh, I did my best. Hope it was ok.
Cinera was still unable to find any good weapons in this town, so she decided to simply buy a few health potions to keep with her for battles - they were going to become a scarce item in this town, very soon (considering the impending doom that came with letting your HP hit zero). With that being done, she began her hunt for food that she could bring back to the group. A local tavern had the cheapest (edible) bread, so she thought that she would just buy as much as she could and bring it back to the group. They didn't need to eat like kings, they just needed to survive... and everyone was probably running pretty low on funds, this early in the game. That was the only useful thing she had gotten out of being a beta-tester: She knew where all of the good hunting spots were.

The tavern was bleak and quiet, save for a couple people. Many of the players had yet to reach this town, and she doubted they would before morning, with it being so dark outside. As she walked into the tavern, Cinera took down her hood and shook out her long, bright orange hair. The NPC took the small pouch of coins she had and in return gave her 12 loaves of hot, fresh bread. That should be more than enough, right? So far, she had only seen maybe four or five people in the group... This much could last them a couple days. Cinera stashed half of it in her inventory to preserve it and carried the rest in a bag that the NPC had given her. She was so excited to be part of a group, already! It was a wonder that they has even accepted her. Well, even if only Sapphira had... It sounded like the rest of the group wouldn't mind! And they all looked like such strong people. She just needed to get back there and talk to them.

However, as she turned to leave in an excited rush, her foot caught on the edge of a floorboard, propelling her forward. She proceeded to land face-first next to a table where four people seemed to be seated, talking about something serious. But more important that possibly interrupting their conversation, the six loaves of bread she had carried were now scattered all over the floor around her. "Ow..." Cinera mumbled, sitting up and rubbing her aching nose. That fall had really hurt... And now the bread was ruined. Her eyes flickered around at the terrible scene around her before filling with tears.

I'm doomed... What the hell was I even getting excited for? As soon as they find out how weak I am in this game, I'm going to be left on my own to die... I'd just get them all killed, even if I did stay. I'm going to die... A sense of doom and frustration with her own inability led to her doing the unthinkable: She began to cry. Just like a child, she sat on the floor of that inn and covered her face with her hands, allowing all of the frustration and fear and loneliness that she had been holding in to flow out in the form of salt water. She did not wail too loudly, but it was enough to draw attention from a few annoyed players sitting at the bar. Cinera knew how irrational and stupid it was to sit here and cry over spilled bread, but she just couldn't take it, anymore. She was already so sick of this damn game. I just want to go home...
@Lightbox Okay, thank you. I'll try to find somewhere to jump in, haha... ^^"
@NuttsnBolts No worries! I know that's how it usually goes, but it allows more opportunity for detailed stories if you bend the rules, a little bit. ;)
Haha I'm excited to see the prank...
I'm sorry it took me so long to get this up. ^^"

Name: Drugan ("Dru") Murish

Age: 26

Magic: Water Caster Magic (Different from Water Magic)

Guild: Blue Pegasus

Hair Color: White

Eyes: Amber

History: Dru has always had a strange, dark aura about him... When he was younger, he was feared by many people in his village, including his parents. They locked him away in shame of the bad fortune he seemed to bring, rain and floods following him wherever he went. His eyes seemed to peer through any lie, making those around him very uncomfortable and frightful. His childhood was spent in the solitude of a chamber beneath his family's home, where everyone seemed to slowly forget about him. Soon enough, they weren't even bringing him food. By the time he was twelve, he was hunting rats to survive behind that locked door. Just when he thought he would die down there, a group of wizards from a dark guild broke into their family home and found him down there. He took his chance as it came and immediately burst past them, flowing with his waves into the streets of his village for the first time in years. Master Bob had been passing through and found the poor, famished boy lying in the street, having gone as far as he could. Dru found himself unexpectedly a member of Blue Pegasus ever since, hating their flashy nature but secretly appreciating their kind natures, and their strength. Master Bob has been teaching him to harness his magic, and everyone in the guild has taken care of him. Something about him is still off, though... almost evil...
