Current It's been a long time, RPGuild. I hope you're all well.

Bio

HI THERE~!

Thank you for visiting my profile!

You can call me Destiny. I am a 26-year-old pansexual woman from the USA who has been roleplaying since 2007. I got my start on a Kingdom Hearts fan-forum, and now here I am! My roleplaying interests include slice-of-life, romance, drama, fantasy, and anime fandom. Did I mention I am a HUGE otaku? :D

I write at a high-casual/advanced level as far as the amount of content I write per-post, but I'm not into flowery language most of the time. My writing is very simple, with a lot of the focus being on the characters and how their thoughts and feelings are developing. Realism is the name of my game! This stems from the fact that, when I am not roleplaying or slaving away for a large technology conglomerate at my day job, I am working on plays and films as a professional actress. With this being my passion, it's quite literally my job to pick apart each character's brain to find the motivation behind their words and actions. I'm just saying, that kind of obsession shows in my writing.

For my partners, I mostly do 1x1 RPs unless a group really catches my eye. I expect 2-3 paragraphs per post and prefer those who can respond at least once a day. Original stories catch my eye more than fandoms, but I don't rule anything out until I've tried it- trust me, if something's not working I'll let you know. I do not write smut, but if it is story-driven I will consider 18+. I'm really not picky; these are just guidelines for how to *guarantee* I will love our RP! I've been surprised before!

A fair warning in advance: I'm also a little crazy. I am diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression, so if I am feeling off I may just stop responding. My mental health does come first. Rest assured, I will pick up the pieces and clear my head enough to reply soon. I use my writing as an outlet, so I can never stay away more than a couple of days. That being said, my Guild partners are my family. Y'all have helped me through the worst times of my life and continue to remind me why I'm still alive on this Earth. So just know that I am here to do the same for any of you, even if we've just met. :)

Anywho, if this sounds like your thing then shoot me a PM! I swear I'm friendly, albeit a little strange, and I don't bite (hard)!

@Zelosse That will be good! :)

@KabenSaal That is... Super cute. <3 Am I allowed to fangirl over the fox ladies? :3

Also, holy crap I didn't know the ladies were so sought after lol. ;P
Cinera listened to his speak in an almost awe-like state. Where had that come from? Honestly, watching him standing there, bathed in the light of the morning's glow, she felt like she was in some sort of cheesy war movie. Watching it on TV was one thing, but being here in front of someone like that was actually quite inspiring! Warmth flooded through her body as she began to feel more safe and secure around this gentleman. There was just something about the whole idea of the guild that made her feel happy and protected. No, not just the guild... Delcastle, himself. Something about him set her at ease.

Even so, he had mentioned that they would influence the main fighting. How exactly were they planning to do that without getting involved? And as he said, bodies were something necessary to win battles... No matter what they did, battles would be needed to win the war. 100 floors worth of battles. Sure, the larger guilds could pave the way the higher floors, but people would still die. People have already died. "But is it... Is it okay?" She asked, hesitantly. "Is it okay for us to just take the safe route when so many others are risking their lives?"

As soon as she said this, she laughed a little. "I mean, I guess I would just be in the way on the front lines, in this state... But so many people are going to die trying to get out of this game, and not many people seem to be bothered. Everyone is still playing the damn game." Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought about this, and a bit of the panic from last night began to resurface. "Whatever we do, people are still going to die in here. People have died. Is playing this game going to change any of that...?" Of course it wouldn't. She knew the answer to these questions. But even still...

No. She was focusing on what had already happened. Like it or not, they were stuck in this game. They couldn't just sit here and let that sadistic psychopath win. People were going to die, but this guild was taking the smart path; they would gain their strength and build their resources to help those who were fighting at the front. They would need somebody to support them, and Cinera knew she could at least do that. She gently grabbed Delcastle's hand. "Okay. I want to help. I don't want anymore people to die if they don't have to... I want to be that support for them." A small smile crossed her lips as a small, single tear dribbled down her cheek. She had made her decision, why waste anymore time? She needed to get stronger. Delcastle knew exactly what he was doing and she was in full support.

"I'll do anything you need me to do. I just want to get stronger." His grip was strong and his hand was warm, full of life. Her first comrade. She was the weak link in this group... She needed to get stronger so that she could protect them. If this game turned out anything like her non-VR games, these people would become her good friends along this journey. Cinera hated the thought of letting them down. As he winked, her cheeks flushed a sort of bright red, inadvertently. He was quite the charmer, wasn't he? She ha thought of his speech as cheesy, but honestly... It may have been just the motivation she needed.
So... Is this RP pretty much dead, already? :(
@Haeo That sounds terrible! I hope y'all start to feel better, soon! :( <3 Incredible things can happen in 13 days... Keep your chin up? :)

@Zelosse Haha oh, this'll be great... She's normally such a level-headed girl and gamer, but she's so vulnerable, right now. She can't see the obvious in front of her. xD And since she's never been susceptible to that sort of manipulation before, she might mistake it as something else... ;P
Cinera felt a bit awkward as Delcastle greeted her, almost like she was an old friend. He seemed to have no doubt that she would be there, and why would he? She obviously didn't have many options. Maybe he had some sort of big scheme involving all of them. The two brothers seemed to be all about business and getting the job done. Even so, they were very nice to her. She felt safe being in this group. Although she didn't want to just be a tagalong, she was grateful to have some small sense of security, for now.

As he expected her to, Cinera blushed bright red as he kissed the back of her hand. It was unexpected and extremely chivalrous. She found herself even more flustered, unsure of what to do. "U-Uhm... That's okay..." She sputtered, glancing nervously down at her feet. Even at home, she wasn't used to such kindness. Cinera really wanted to find a way to help these people. With her there, it sounded like their group was complete. They gathered and listened to Delcastle explain today's plan. So they weren't leaving the city? Sapphira would be glad to hear this. A supply run was definitely a good idea, and it would give her another opportunity to increase her strength in the game. Maybe she'd even be able to prove her worth a bit more than crying on the ground in a tavern.

Much to her surprise, Delcastle did not give her a task as he dismissed the other two to go get started. His words were even more surprising, and she then understood why he had her hang back. He must've noticed how disgruntled she felt, this morning... Or perhaps he just saw the bags under her eyes. It wasn't like she would collapse or anything, but she had obviously been up worrying about just that all night. "Oh, uhm... Thank you..." She said, giving him a weak smile. "I'm just... still processing everything, that's all. I'm honestly surprised everyone else is taking this so well. But... well... If I'm being honest, I'm not super used to VR gaming..." Her eyes flickered away from him, feeling nervous about revealing this weak point about herself. "As I am, I'm not really much help... But I have a lot that I want to go back to. I'm a good strategist, I just need to learn how to fight better. I'd understand if that will only hold y'all back... But if you can, I'd really like to learn to be stronger..."

Cinera had no idea how he was going to reply, but she felt a bit of relief talking to someone about what was worrying her. He seemed like a very reasonable person who would be able to help her. Even better, this group wasn't seeking the end of the game; they were simply builing profits. They wouldn't be involved in too many big battles, hopefully, which might be the best opportunity for her to grow stronger. At the same time, if they did not keep moving forward, she would not be able to finish the game and get back to the real world. Is this the kind of guild she wanted? For now, the right answer seemed to be yes. She just wasn't in the right place to jump into battle, just yet. I'm going to be a bit longer than I thought getting home, Mom... But I will. I promise...

She was surprised when he mentioned Sapphira. "You know them...? I'm glad. I hope it was okay that they stayed with me, last night... I trust them, and they helped me out before. Believe it or not, that wasn't my first panic attack, last night." That was a joke. She tried to laugh, but it ended up just being awkward. She gave a bit of a nervous cough and pulled her cloak a bit closer around her. "To be honest, though, I don't really know her that well. I might be able to work something out with her, but she seems very careful about what she does. She might not be the type to deal with guilds." A bit of that strategist gamer was coming out in her, and in this moment she somehow felt a bit more at home.
I kind of skimmed the posts because I fell behind, so I'm sorry if I got anything wrong. ^^" Trying to get myself to an area where other people are so we can interact haha.
By now, the puppy had continued his incessant barking. Destiny began to pace back and forth in the living room, out of panic. "Oh god, oh god, oh god... What do I do? Should I try to call for help? Should I just wait here? A zombie... A fucking zombie!" Laughing almost hysterically, she collapsed onto the couch, trying hard to settle her swirling thoughts and calm the oncoming panic attack. Okay... So what was going on? There was no internet or cell service. Half-dead corpses were walking the streets. Last night had been normal enough... She was here alone; Dustin had been at work. Dustin... Oh my god! He was at work! Is he okay? How do I get ahold of him? What if he's...

She stopped her thought by standing and rushing to grab her backpack. No, that wasn't something she could think about. Dustin was everything, to her. They had met in high school and been best friends for nearly half of their lives. She refused to even consider the possibility that he was dead, or worse, one of those disgusting monsters. He had to be alive, right? If anyone ever came through for her, it was him. She knew he was probably fighting his way home, at this very moment. However, if he wasn't already home, then this must have all started last night after that news report. Had Dustin been out fighting on his own, all night? Something in Destiny's heart ached as she thought about this.

I can't just sit here and wait for him to save me... If he's not home yet, he's probably stuck out there. I have to go find him! Feeling a bit more determined, she quickly rushed to change into comfortable high-waisted jeans and her green quarter-sleeve button-down, which were comfortable, easy to move in, and out-of the way. She also chose to wear a pair of sneakers to run in, which she figured she would be doing a lot of. Destiny had never been able to stomach zombie movies, and she was pretty terrible at video games, so this whole scenario had her a bit worried. Highschool of the Dead was about the only information she really knew about zombies, and that show was mostly about fanservice. It wouldn't really be any help, here.

In the backpack, she placed four or five of her best kitchen knives, a few cans of corn, peaches, and green beans, a loaf of bread slices, and a can opener. She also grabbed the few granola bars and small bags of chips they had around the apartment. Destiny had every intention of returning here as soon as she found her husband, so she only grabbed what she really needed. There were also her glasses, eye drops, ibproufen, gauze, bandaids, burn/cut cream, chapstick, pads (being a girl is fun, right?), and a couple bottles of water. It was going to weight her down already, carrying this much, since she wasn't exactly in shape, but she wanted to be prepared for whatever state Dustin might be in. He might need immediate medical attention; at the gross thought, she had even packed a needle and thread from her sewing kit.

The last thing she grabbed was her red and blue wooden cosplay sword from Sword Art Online. It was the closest thing they had to a baseball bat, and she honestly didn't think she'd be able to control the heavy weight of Dustin's prop swords. This would be the best thing for her to use for protection, until they could get to a store with better swords. Although she was in a panic, Destiny knew that this would be an emergency situation. She knew that the town may not even really be out there, anymore... It would be total chaos. And she had to be ready for it.

Taking a deep breath, Destiny grabbed her keys and headed into the outside world. Honestly, their puppy would be safer locked up here. She had managed to move some furniture in front of the windows, and the door would be locked. She knew that taking him with her would be more dangerous, as he was not well-trained to stay by her side; no doubt he would get scared and run off. It was in his nature as part-chihuahua. So, she did what she could to keep the place locked up as a safe area for them to come back to. From what she understood, zombies were too slow and dumb to get inside. As soon as she was outside, she quickly locked the door and made a mad dash for the car. They really were very slow, so she managed to slip past most of them with ease.

However, her tiny little car was swarmed with the hideous creatures, as they filled the parking lot. It reeked like a cemetery, out there, and she did her best to hold her breath. I knew this would happen... I'm not going to get to my car without swinging at them. But... But they're people, aren't they...? Hesitating, she took a step back toward the apartment building, only to feel something brush up against her back. Her arms immediately swung around to bash the sword against the creature's head, spewing blood everywhere as it crushed through her skull. Destiny let out a loud scream, stumbling back as the tears began to fall. Her eyes stared widely at the blood on her hands and arms and clothes, belonging to the lady from the apartment front office. Melissa. She was the nicest woman, who always gave their dog a treat when they came to visit. Such a sweet lady... and Destiny had just bashed her head in.

Her hands gripped the sword tighter as she shook, violently. Death wasn't something that Destiny was well-accustomed to, so she felt a bit traumatized by the fact that she had just taken one. Not only that, but it had to be one of the few faces she recognized in this community. Whimpering, she collapsed against the wall and stared wide-eyed at the walkers surrounding her. She was never going to get to her car, this way. It was too much. She didn't want to hurt anyone else. But there were too many walkers back toward the apartment, too. Without thinking, she turned and began to sprint down the street.

There weren't a lot of people out here, so maybe she would be okay without a car, for a minute. It was always there to come back to, right? Were the walkers strong enough to destroy it? Whatever the case, there were less of them out in the street (because it was away from the buildings), so she began to run as fast as she could. Her legs were weak with fear and a lack of exercise, so she found herself completely out of breath by the time she made it to the end of the street. By the time she got there, her legs buckled underneath her and she ate pavement. Hard.

It was no time to stop. There was a convenience store, nearby... Near the old tattoo parlor her sister loved. That had to be a safe place, right? Even the tattoo place. Anywhere indoors should be okay, as long as she wasn't stuck out here in the open. Immediately, she leapt to her feet and stumbled toward the door, doing all that she could to jump out of the way when a walker would lunge at her. Her jeans were ripped from where she had landed on the pavement. All she could think of was running. Fear clouded every thought and judgement in her mind, and she just pushed forward with blind motions. Her hands reached toward the door of the convenience store, about to open it when a walker jumped out in front of her. Destiny let out another loud scream and began to swing her weapon wildly, unsure of what she was doing, anymore. Tears ran down her cheeks in broken sobs of terror. "G-Get away from me!" She had never been very good in a crisis. D-Dustin...

(Still Day 1, Evening)

Cinera jumped a little when the new message dinged, but she quickly read Sapphira's reply. "Actually... They sort of bought a room for me. So it'd actually be free if we wanted share! I'll meet you at the inn." And with that, she closed out the window and headed to the inn. She was extremely exhausted from all of the crazy events of today. First the announcement about the twisted game, then fighting to get to this town, and then that whirlwind of new acquaintances and a panic attack. It wasn't exactly a good day. But, in the hopes that things would be better tomorrow, Cinera decided to go straight to bed once she reached the inn. She sent Sapphira one last message. "Hey, I hope this isn't rude, but I think I'm going to head straight to bed... It's been kind of a long day. I don't know what I'm going to do, tomorrow. Anyway, there's a key for you and your friend at the front desk. I gave them your name. Feel free to let yourselves in!" She was out within a minute.

(Day 2, Morning)

Despite being so quick to fall asleep, Cinera did not sleep well. She woke up many times and found herself tossing and turning with nightmares about all the crazy ways she could die, here. It was a terrifying thought. However, this terror gave her a lot of time to think, and in the morning she had decided that the only way she would ever improve would be to join a guild. So, at daybreak she packed up her things and decided to go join the World Walkers.

Delcastle had sent her a PM that morning saying that they were at the gate getting ready to leave. Sapphira and her new friend were asleep when she left, so she decided to leave a little note for them. Sapphira, I am going to join the World Walkers guild. We are heading out this morning. I appreciate all of your kindness, yesterday, but I need to go and get stronger to survive, like you can. I hope that our paths will cross again! Best of luck with your business, and feel free to PM me anytime! Cinera. That seemed pretty explanatory, right? Without eating anything, she rushed out the door to catch her new companions at the gate, practically tripping over her boots as she pulled them on while running out the door.

As he had said, Delcastle was waiting at the gate with his brother and another person, whose names she had not quite caught before everyone split up, the night before. She pulled her cloak tighter around her shoulders. The morning was chilly, but she knew that they had to keep moving to higher floors. Many players had already caught up to them, filling the town as soon as the sun rose. "Hey!" She greeted them, breathless from running. This game still took some getting used to. "So you're... You're heading out, huh?" Cinera rubbed the back of her head, a bit awkwardly. The only time she had seen them, she was a crying mess. It all felt a bit hazy, and to be honest she was still sort of embarrassed. But none of that mattered, now. All that mattered was that she kept moving. "I... I want to come with you... If that's okay..."
