Bio
HI THERE~!
Thank you for visiting my profile!
You can call me Destiny. I am a 26-year-old pansexual woman from the USA who has been roleplaying since 2007. I got my start on a Kingdom Hearts fan-forum, and now here I am! My roleplaying interests include slice-of-life, romance, drama, fantasy, and anime fandom. Did I mention I am a HUGE otaku? :D
I write at a high-casual/advanced level as far as the amount of content I write per-post, but I'm not into flowery language most of the time. My writing is very simple, with a lot of the focus being on the characters and how their thoughts and feelings are developing. Realism is the name of my game! This stems from the fact that, when I am not roleplaying or slaving away for a large technology conglomerate at my day job, I am working on plays and films as a professional actress. With this being my passion, it's quite literally my job to pick apart each character's brain to find the motivation behind their words and actions. I'm just saying, that kind of obsession shows in my writing.
For my partners, I mostly do 1x1 RPs unless a group really catches my eye. I expect 2-3 paragraphs per post and prefer those who can respond at least once a day. Original stories catch my eye more than fandoms, but I don't rule anything out until I've tried it- trust me, if something's not working I'll let you know. I do not write smut, but if it is story-driven I will consider 18+. I'm really not picky; these are just guidelines for how to *guarantee* I will love our RP! I've been surprised before!
A fair warning in advance: I'm also a little crazy. I am diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression, so if I am feeling off I may just stop responding. My mental health does come first. Rest assured, I will pick up the pieces and clear my head enough to reply soon. I use my writing as an outlet, so I can never stay away more than a couple of days. That being said, my Guild partners are my family. Y'all have helped me through the worst times of my life and continue to remind me why I'm still alive on this Earth. So just know that I am here to do the same for any of you, even if we've just met. :)
Anywho, if this sounds like your thing then shoot me a PM! I swear I'm friendly, albeit a little strange, and I don't bite (hard)! <3
Gideon seemed pretty unenthused when he responded, so Kimmy was unsure of how to reply. Maybe he had just picked some random ones that he didn't care about? It didn't seem like much fun to her, but it might be a good way to try something new. Whatever the case, he seemed to just shrug the topic away, so she nodded and returned to her previously silent state. Man, I'm terrible at this... Her head was starting to hurt really bad at the stress of all this, so she pulled out her umbrella even though they were indoors. Those around her might recognize this as her not feeling well in some physical or emotional way, if they got the chance to know her. It really did help alleviate some of the pressure, and it almost made her feel calmer to hide behind its lacy brim.
At Gideon's question, Kimmy glanced up at him with a shy smile. "A-Actually, I think we're supposed to get them after the welcome ceremony or something," She offered, hoping to be helpful. It was just a rumor she had heard, but she had not gotten her schedule either so they would need to at some point. However, his next statement surprised her and she immediately felt the warmth of blood rushing to her pale cheeks. "You... You want to be in the same class as me?" She gaped at this, having never heard anybody say that before who wasn't a family member. It made her smile inside, and she found herself no longer hiding behind the umbrella as she gazed up at him. Of course, that wasn't the normal response to such a question, but she was curious as to why he would say something like that out of nowhere? Her eyes almost sparkled at the thought of having a friend in class. "I-I hope we do, too!" A wide smile spread across her cheeks. Maybe this year would be different.
"Should we head to the auditorium, then? We can meet our mentors!"
Cinera quickly wiped away the tear on her cheek as Delcastle began to explain how things were going to work. So he would be in the front, obviously, with Bulwar and Mai'lo defending the sides of the group, and she would be positioned in the back as a defensive measure. Honestly, that was not at all surprising to her, given she hadn't really proven any kind of offensive ability. One thing she was good at though was keeping her head in a fight and seeing the whole picture. Apparently, Delcastle had a very similar skill because, as long as everyone was up to the task, this was a perfect formation. Granted it was easy to keep a small group covered, but it was pretty tight and held together.
"That's a good plan," She complimented him, giving a bit of a smile. Yes, her job was simple enough - though it may not be easy. Notifying them of oncoming danger was one thing, but fending off enemies that slip past was a challenge all its own. She could handle weak monsters right now, maybe level four or lower, but honestly anything above that would be difficult. In a major fight, an agile boss might be able to slip past Delcastle while the two in the middle were occupied with smaller monsters. This was the downside to having such a small group - it would be easy to draw them away from each other; one crack in the formation could lead to disaster.
"We will need to make sure we keep the formation pretty solid though, even if something unexpected happens during a fight. Spotting danger is one thing, but I can't guarantee that I'd be able to hold off a larger monster for more than a couple seconds if they manage to break through," She admitted, nervously. "Of course, I will be training!" Cinera blushed a bit and waved her hands frantically, not wanting to seem useless. "I wasn't lying about getting stronger! I'm just talking about as we are now..." Embarrassed, she hid her bright red face a little behind her hair. The last thing she wanted was to seem like she was giving up. "I don't want to risk anything, especially since you've all been so kind to me... I'll definitely do my best. But, uhm... I still think we'll need practice to keep this formation tight. For as few risks as possible, y'know..."
Ah... Not sure where to start from. I was outside the door to the convenience store. Should I just pretend I went inside to hide when I heard y'all coming? ^^" Sorry. I try to stay active but this time of year is super busy lol.
Cool! I'm not super informed about gaming, so I picked a few of the pre-made ones. :)
Inspiring presence: Party members gain increased defense Vampirism: Sword art skills have lifesteal
Cinera wants to work toward being able to tame all kinds of animals, but she is not at a level for that, just yet. :P But her greatest strength is team strategy, so I feel that she would be best having a defense ability that would benefit her entire party. The Vampirism skill comes along with her katana. :)
Does this sound ok? ^^" I don't think she'd have any crafting skills, at the moment. Maybe some first aid things later on, but nothing on day 2 lol.
