Dewey Deftones — Roleplayer Guild

Okay, so I know I have a separate interest check with a bunch of different ideas on it, but I feel that this would get a bit more attention, since it's one I'm really interested in doing that isn't noted very well in the other interest check. Anyways, I'm looking for someone to do an MxM roleplay set in the Mass Effect universe, likely set during the events of ME3. I don't do canon characters since I feel that I never portray them right, so I do prefer OCs to be created.

Some rules to abide by and other general information:
- As the title suggests, this will be a mature roleplay. Not just sex scenes, but violence, gore, the typical stuff. Darker themes, you know? I'm over eighteen, and I expect you to be as well.
- I expect a response at least once every day or so. If you have a certain schedule that you can't respond certain days, but can on others, just tell me and I'm sure I'll be able to handle it. I know people have to work and whatnot, including myself, so I'm understanding.
- Recently life has kicked me in the ass and I'm finding it rather hard to find the motivation to roleplay. I slashed open three fingers at work, my computer fried itself, and a lot of family issues have arisen, but I have a phone with internet capabilities, which I use all the time now. If you intend to start a roleplay with me, I want it to be interesting and unique, so that I actually want to pick up my phone and respond.
- As far as length in roleplays goes, I typically aim for at least two paragraphs. There's certain situations that could call for more, such as the start of a roleplay, but the exception I will take for less than two paragraphs is during sex scenes, or when there's a ton of dialogue going on. I won't accept one liners at all, but there's no use in adding a bunch of useless fluff that gets to be repetitive just to make things look longer.
- Since I am limited to my phone's capabilities as of right now, I tend to make errors in spelling since I have thumbs that can't coordinate to type on a tiny keyboard all the time. You may spot some simple errors here and there, but usually I reread my posts after I submit them, and correct anything that I may have screwed up on.
- I do enjoy OOC and love to get to know the person I'm roleplaying with. It makes the roleplay much better, I feel.
- If you're going to be gone a while and won't be able to respond, I'd like to know, so that I'm not left questioning. If the roleplay gets boring or you don't have the time or motivation to do it any longer, just say so. I'm a former soldier. A roleplay ending isn't going to bother me.
- If there are any questions you have or something going on in the roleplay that you're not certain about, just say something! I'm not a rude person by any means. I actually very much enjoy helping others.
- The typically roleplaying rules apply. No god-modding, or whatever the hell it's called, no mary sues, etc... I think we all can agree on that type of stuff.

Okay, so, with that covered, on to the roleplay. I don't expect amazing expertise on the Mass Effect series, but I expect a general knowledge and to have at least played one or two of the games. I've played all three, though I've only finished ME3, minus the DLC which I don't have.

Honestly, I don't have any ideas as of right now, and was hoping we could work something out together, but I do ask that both characters be human. I'm not big into Turians or Geth or anything like that. Whatever you guys are into. Nothing wrong with it, just not a preference of mine. Anyways, I prefer to roleplay through PMs. I just find it easier. Also, as far as creating characters goes, I prefer character sheets to be made and a real image to be used for reference to the appearance of the characters.

As well, I'm willing to create more than one character for a roleplay. I'll make up to three, but I expect you to do the same, so that it's not one-sided. If you're going to introduce a new character into the roleplay after we've started, just say so and I'll likely be cool with it.

So, with all that said, just PM me if you're interested! If I find a person or two that satisfy this roleplay, I'll probably come back to this and notify you guys so you don't see this and think I'm still looking. But as of right now, I'm searching, so PM away if you're interested! :)

Hey, I read through your plot ideas, and found this one to be very interesting to me! I don't know why it stuck out so well, but I guess have a soft spot for neglected androids. xD

~He spent his life on a backroom shelf, an older model, and unable to shift his appearance like the newer models. He's eventually put on clearance and soon after is bought. The person bought him as a gift to his soon to be ex-boss. He really didn't want to leave the small company, but he could no longer pay his bills on what he made at the shop. His boss has a strong distaste for technology which, in the employee's opinion, is why the business is in trouble. He wishes his boss best of luck and leaves the android with him. Unable to return the gift he begrudgingly uses the android as little more than a glorified coffeemaker at first. The android wants desperately to be useful, but the man is unwilling to trust him with anything more than filing and making coffee. Undeterred the android begins helping the company behind the boss's back, which once discovered, does nothing to help the man trust him.

If you're interested, I'd love to play the part of the android. :) I'm more of a Casual roleplayer (usually anywhere from 2-5 paragraphs depending on the situation), and I'm on here pretty much every day. I seem to have a lot of time on my hands even with a full time job.
