Just as the conversation between the two began to bore her, Lovinia's ears picked up on something that made her head snap up. Her crystalline eyes narrowed as the little girls whining voice told a story that sounded to oddly familiar. Surely, it was a coincidence- no one but her siblings knew of what happened so accurately. A child could not be familiar with such affairs- it had to be a mistake.
She glided forward, her full attention now fixed on the conversing two. It wasn't until a firm hand gripped her arm and dragged her back that her concentration was broken. "Why don't I know you, darlin'?" A leering voice whispered in her ear as she was spun around to face a man towering over her. Disgust rose up inside her, sparking in her eyes. This type of vermin was the only thing she could openly admit to hate. Back before being bound to the Earth, men like him were common in the trials of human love. They were like snakes, manipulative and dangerous, and always prepared to strike. "Let go of me before you lose your hand, you creep." She hissed. Her voice had a noticeably British accent, dripping with venom all the same.
@HushedWhispers Oh, thanks for reminding me! I must've forgotten to add that :3 both Canon and original characters are welcome, as long as a simple Character Sheet is provided with an original character :D
I'd like to start with a quick side note to let everyone know that although I am an experienced role player, I am new to this site so if you see any mistakes I have made don't be afraid to just let me know!
Let's get right to business, then: - I am looking for an experienced, causal-advanced roleplaying partner. - My average post is roughly three to four paragraphs long, and it would be preferred if you could keep up at that length too, or even longer if you'd like. - I'm not one to nag about activity, but a post every day or two would be great! If you'll be away for some time then please inform me before seemingly dropping off the face of the earth. - I'm certainly open to new ideas and plots, since I tend to be lacking in the creativity department at the moment. - I can play any gender, although is very much prefer to play female as I have more experience in that area. I'm not particularly into MxM, or FxF, nothing personal but, again, it's all down to my experience. - I have no problem with sex, gore and violence seeing as I am 19. However, areas in the incest and pedophilia range I am not interested in. - I love romance, but every relationship has its problems and as long as my partner is willing to keep that in mind then I'm really up to anything. - I'd prefer to roleplay through PM, but any if you have any other options I'll certainly consider them. - Pictures and a basic biography of Characters are encouraged, as it helps me to get a proper image in my head of what's going on etc.

Rumours were such lovely things. They were often so innocent and light, yet tinged with a poison that spread like wildfire. It was so easy to tease these rumours from people; coax the information out of them to make them seem as if they wanted to spread it in the first place. There was little that Lovinia did not know about the affairs of the mortals. Her time on earth had proven to be boring and repetitive, especially with the same mundane characters that seemed to be everywhere she turned. Keeping up with the everyday gossip was something that added a spark of excitement in the Goddess' new life. In never ceased to amaze her that these humans continued to keep up with these petty feuds and pointless drama even with the end of their beloved world looming. But, the childish nature of the mortals did have its perks. Rumours had brought her out into the middle of nowhere. Rumours had led her to where she was standing in this very moment.
Word had spread that a man had the key to 'saving' the future of the earth. When she had first heard of it, the woman had snorted and dismissed such blasphemy. A human? Saving the world? Nonsense. But as she heard more and more of this so-called saviour, her curiosity began to grow. Maybe, just maybe, it was possible. Such thinking had sparked a tiny flame in Lovinia's heart that she hadn't felt the heat from in a long time. Hope.
The figure standing in the shadows of an alleyway looked anything but hopeful, the darkness concealing her like a protective blanket as she leaned lazily against the brick wall. The only source of light surrounding her was a dull red glow centring around her face, the glow was something that made many look twice as they passed, a familiarity long-since forgotten. The cigarette perched precariously on her bottom lip was a luxury few could afford in times such as these. She had managed to acquire four full packets somehow, and, considering she couldn't die, had decided to make use of them. Thin whispers of smoke spiralled in the air around her, filling the atmosphere with the musky scent of tobacco.
As the commotion surrounding her grew, Lovinia's interest piqued and she pushed herself up into a graceful, loping walk. There was something about this day that stirred inside of her, but she pushed it down along with the rest of her emotions. It was a trick she had been forced to learn long before now, to stop the crushing pain that knocked the breath out of her everytime she thought of her family. Her losses.
A high voice snapped Lov's head to the side, her eyes landing on a man with a young girl. There he was. The man himself. Staying back from the huddle of people forming, she took a long drag of her cigarette before flicking it on the ground, an amused smirk playing at her lips. She had to admit, he was quite handsome for a mortal, and there was a sense of power and order to him that seemed to be reassuring to the other humans, yet she still failed to see how this mere mortal could put a stop to anything this vast.
Yeah, I agree. It'll give Lov' a chance to slowly rebuild her old self, with some developments, and perhaps Hiraga someone to care for and trust so that she isn't stuck being alone in helping to restore the Earth's former balance and whatnot.
Name: Lovinia Also known as: The Fifth, The Flower Age: Ancient God Status: Goddess of Beauty, Purity and Love Parents: Sun and Moon Sexuality: Asexual
Personality: Most would expect Lovinia to be a delicate, fragile soul in need of protection. This could not be further from the truth. Her angelic features she uses to her advantage, getting what she wants when she wants. Her true self is difficult to decipher, as she will put up a great number of facades to get into people's good books. Although she is difficult to handle, her heart is good and all she really yearns for is happiness for herself and her siblings.
To those she distrusts, Lovinia will come off as spiteful, erratic and vindictive- although who could blame her after the turmoil she has endured? Over time, she has built up an emotional wall and she comes across as being cruel, aggressive, brutal and mean. Despite her aggressive and brutal nature, from time-to-time she will have moments where her emotional instability shows and it is clear to see how damaged she truly is. However, despite her harsh and cold exterior, to those she loves she is sweet and caring, and most of all loyal. It is with love that her humanity is shown the most in.
Form on Earth:
Unlike many of her siblings, Lovinia cannot hide her true form and appears to humans as a muted version of her true form. Being the Goddess of Beauty, she is truly beautiful and many say that her looks have no parallel. However, to make herself seem more human, Lovinia has given herself a scar on her left cheekbone in the shape of a cross.
True Form: Lovinia's true form is the same as her on-earth form, yet much more God-like. Every detail of her is magnified in beauty, where her hair is yellow on earth, it is golden as a Goddess. She omits a glow one would link to biblical descriptions, and if seen by human eyes one would easily mistake her for an angel.
Powers: Lovinia has multiple minor powers (will be revealed), but one of her two primary powers is that of Illusion Manipulation, meaning that she can create, shape and manipulate illusions, causing her targets to see, hear, touch, smell and/or taste things which do not actually exist or cause them to perceive things differently from what they truly are.
Her second Primary Power is Love Manipulation. She can sense and manipulate the all aspects of love, of herself, people, animals and other creatures, whether by increasing, decreasing, causing or otherwise channeling love, she can even manifest the emotional energy to physical level.
Weapon: Being the Goddess of Purity, Lovinia has not allowed herself to possess something as impure as a physical weapon. Her only real weapon is her Beauty and her powers. She tends to stray away from conflict, which can be both a strength and a weakness in her part.
History (Pre-Earth bound): Before the end of everything as she knew it, Lovinia was the delicate flower that was portrayedin the stories. She was very much the 'little sister' of the family, despite being the Fifth child. The love she felt towards her siblings was so pure that she was deemed the Goddess of Love and Purity, vowing herself to a life of servitude to the trials and tribulations of love in the mortal world below. Although her compassion towards her family was shared, she had a special devotion to Amos and followed him everywhere. She even managed to persuade her way into the Heavens, snatching a place for herself in one of the far corners. At the time, she agreed with everything her older brother said and became as much a part of him as his shadow.
When she was brought down to the human realm by Amare, her initial reaction was that of joy. A new place, new friends, but her excitement was soon distinguished with Amos' reaction. As she watched the God crumble, a part of her was crushed- because with her love also came heartbreak.
History (Post-Earth bound): With her family torn, so too did her heart, and Lovinia stood from the sidelines and watched as everything that she had ever loved was stolen from her. The death and imprisonment of her family sent her on a downwards spiral of misery and loss. It was from then that the walls of cold, sharp hatred were build around her and a darkness consumed her causing her to abandon her role in the love of the human world and watched as the remainder of the old realm was lost.
Motive: Happiness for herself and her family. [/hider]
