"Y'know I'm all for respectable, but the last time we dueled we had our weapons. But I'll go with it just this once."

Daniel found it more than a little suspicious that lean, mean Metz was offering to lay down his arms for a fist fight. He knew the vials of mana on the mage's belt were his lifeline. And last time, he'd fared comparably well with them.

But the black one... He wasn't so sure. But he'd test his limits one way or another.

He held out his hands and summoned his weapons. The ebony black blade and the shiny chrome pistol materialised in his hands with a burst of ice. The wolf held out the weapons and gestured towards the fountain.

"You count down from three, and we'll both throw our weapons into the fountain. Okay? I'm going to trust you on this one."
@MelonHead Wooooooooooooooork.

I'll have a reply up soon.
@Rtron titanpad.com/iZ9TGQfa6J This be pad 1. We shall do the collab here. :D
@Rtron Hey bruh, time for our collab? Since the other observers are back at the ship, Hazan and Serena are the only ones back in camp in the current downpour.
I'm assuming only Hazan and Serena are back at camp when the rain starts. Cause Vel and Tanya went off.
Here comes the rain, fellas.
Storm Front
Hazan Volintis
Virmire

Hazan smiled to himself as he heard movement behind him. On his minimap, he saw the blue squares of his allies approaching his position.

From their position, the slender gray turian would be almost invisible to the naked eye. However, the very end of a slate gray viewfinder poking out from underneath what looked like a bed of leaves and brush, along with a vaguely human figure, told a different story. His camouflage cloak, woven with Virmire undergrowth hours before when they'd touched down, covered his entire body from head to toes.

As the rest of the group approached and made themselves known, he extended a hand from under his cloak and waved. The rest of the team set up camp quickly enough, which made him quite satisfied. The operation was going quite smoothly.

Time passed. Hazan spent his time marking every single target he spotted. Covering his hud in upside down red triangles. He'd set the signatures of his friends as blue squares, and in the last few minutes he'd seen the infiltration team down there, milling about amongst the crowd of triangles.

The turian yawned softly and stretched a little underneath his cloak. Some time in the last hour or so, Vellios and Tanya had left camp to retrieve the other turian's pain medicine. Iosif was back at the ship. That left him and Serena in camp to keep watch. And he'd been laying there long enough. He had to go.

His cloak had been propped up on several thick sticks as a sort of loose tent, and as he crawled out backwards he motioned to Serena.

"Hey Serena, I'm gonna go "freshen up". Take over watch while Vel and Tanya are gone? I won't be too far off."

That said, he picked up his pack and wandered off into the jungle. After all, a man couldn't do his business so close to his camp, right?

The clouds hung low in the sky above, dark and ominous. Lightning flashed across the horizon as Hazan trudged his way back to camp. He'd gone just past a small ridge to... Let loose, and he was on his way back. The thunder had worried him, and he'd seen why after he'd clambered up a tree to check the sky.

As he made his way back, he keyed his mic.

"Hey fellas on overwatch, we've got a problem: big storm front coming in, ETA three, maybe five minutes."

But before his hand could even leave his comms set, he felt it.

Droplets on his head ridges.

"Uh, scratch that. Make it three to five seconds."

Hazan keyed off his comms and trudged his way back to camp, even as the light spatter of rain on his head turned into a torrential downpour. He had to sigh.

He regretted not bringing his cloak along.
This post means I can continue with my post, I think.
@Fallenreaper So that means any observers left behind when Vellios heads back to the ship are getting nibbled, eh.

I'll wait for your post then while writing mine.
Actually @Fallenreaper d'you wanna have another collab for the storm post?
