What image do you think I should look into? Also now I am debating a primary element again hmmm... still open on that. Mind blanking on metal skills outside of increased sharpness on a weapon. I'll think of something and start the sheet soon enough though.
Debating on a few ways to think of using metal or water and such while also deciding on an image to use. THinking of going with one of the following:

@dndragons: I keep hearing Avatar tossed around, so I guess I should clarify better.

The answer is... Yes and no. Those who wholly devote themselves to the manipulation of qi treat it in a manner similar to those in Avatar: that is, to say, that they can manipulate the elements directly.

HOWEVER, the more orthodox usage in combat in this RP is to enforce the combat capability of the combatants. For example, metal would be able to sharpen a blade temporarily. Earth would increase the resilience of the user if they defend. That sort of thing.
Of course, this is only limited to your creativity, but my statement still stands. If it makes logical sense, I'll give it a bye, but if the gap in logic is too large... Not so much.

In non-combat scenarios to people who have refined their ability to use qi, though? Very toned-down versions of that stuff. So, like, lighting a fire by snapping a la FMA's Roy Mustang. Except, y'know, nowhere near as big and/or explosive.

Alright, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
Hey there! I'll work on my character sheet tonight with a metal or water only style of person. Metal is cool but at this tech level is is a bit rarer to work with and all, but water also requires a source as well. So I am thinking between the two, also can I ask: Do you imagine the elements being used in a similar style to Avatar: THe Last AIrbender then in how martial arts incorporate with using the powers?
Interested!.
Alright, I've been taking several work shifts for people and haven't gotten around to posting sorry. However, I think for now I will have to leave the rp that I enjoyed due to finding myself in a position of picking up other people's slack in the Solar Vehicle Project and newfound work as one of the team leads. With the 18 day or so break in the server I ended up losing time towards the month i will be gone starting July 15th so I feel it will be best to leave and not lock you guys in that while I also work my butt off to pay for housing next year since I will not longer be in a dorm.

Sorry for making you wait on me for that, and in these crystal caverns it would have been nice to continue with Yuno who would know a lot about that but unfortunately other more pressing matters have come up. Thank you for starting the rp again and attempting to continue it after the first time however. It was fun when I had time to do it more often.
Sorry again guys for the time that took... I delayed by posts twice from personal issue and an internet cut one night.
I enjoy myself some battletech and killing clanner scum. Might just join, even if I can't go my normal nationality / House since they aren't in the Commonwealth.
<Snipped quote by Zelosse>

I was actually gonna do that.

Lol, working on a post colab at the moment so the puzzle is being worked on. Sorry it's taking a little bit.
Oh my the Battletech universe! The universe in which the games are based off of. Love the style of mechs they have as walking tanks and depending on the era lost tech. Maintained after the ability to build them was lost where rusted plate covers them while hammering away as the inner sphere was in a constant state of war after the star league fell apart. Maurader all the way here, sending clanner scum away with 3 PPCs all day.
