I've written and published two books before my 30th birthday, I'm happy but I should have started sooner.

I stopped RPing for nearly a year because I've been self publishing novels, but maybe I should jump back in again.

A local hairdresser was arrested for prostitution last night. I'm shocked. I was a customer of hers for years, and I didn't even know she was a hairdresser.

>says this is a thread for people to shit on and defend games
>tells someone to move elsewhere for defending a game

Wrong, I said that if he doesn't like people criticizing games he should find a new thread cause thats what we do here.
So whos excited for Red Dead Redemption 2 and who is hoping the SJWs dont ruin historical accuracy like they did with Battlefield 5?
@Fabricant451
I think its more likely that you are defensive that you learned about a game you likely didnt know existed and are doing everything to pivot away from that.

Valkyrie Profile series has like 4 games in it. If youre too lazy to check which one I'm referring to, then I dont know what to tell ya.

And Im not the one defending Famitsu, dont spin that.

Whe whe I'm upset people don't like the things I'm typing!

Also, I admit I might've jumped the gun on saying you were using objectively wrong but the implication is there when you are stating that someone just can't accept a game they like is objectively bad. Reading back you should be able to see that. Also, I am not "white knighting", I am making a point. Also, for the record, I will continue to use this thread to discuss gaming and if you don't like how I do it then you can file an official report. Otherwise, I'm here to stay.

Deal with it.

Newsflash i didn't say 'objectively bad' either, maybe youre in a lot of RPs right now so I'll cut you some slack when it comes to seperating fact from whats in your head, but it just didn't happen sir.

And I will continue to criticise games I dont like and defend games I do like in this thread that I created for that very reason, if you cant handle that without complaining about things being 'blown out of proportion' then you are the one who has to deal with it.

Especially when its something everyone in the thread (including you) is partaking in. If you really want to be a mod one day then you are going to have to learn to be more objective when deciding who to lecture. That advice nugget is free.
Considering how like ten people have played, much less heard of, Covenant of the Plume compared to its relatively more well known predecessor titled 'Valkyrie Profile' it's not exactly a stretch to think you'd be talking about that one.

Whether 10 people have played it or not is irrelevant. Its a tactical RPG with the prefix Valkyrie Profile, a very quick google search in good faith would confirm that, but I can see how trying to imply I think the first game is the wrong genre on a title specification is just that bit more juicy.

Yeah weird it's almost like the games are in different genres and are scored on different merits. What a concept.

You mean like Smash Bros? I think I'm getting deja vu here.

Hey, fancy that, Famitsu gave GTA 5 a 40/40. Weird. Must be that Japanese legacy with regards to Rockstar games.

Yes I would think the highest selling media product of all time might be getting some attention outside of the country it was made in, crazy stuff.
Decrying FF13 as objectively bad pretty much dismisses that. Maybe admit you are wrong or are blowing things out of proportion because Fab subjectively likes a game you don't.

Feel free to quote me saying it was objectively bad, I'll wait.

EDIT: And please stop white knighting, christ I can handle the Smugness and the passive agressive tone but good lord put down the holy lance.

This is a thread where everyone but especially fab, me, tex and yes you are shitting on games we don't like and defending games we do like, if you don't like that dynamic then post in another thread sir.

i dont normally agree with you but yeah youre right.

<Snipped quote by Dynamo Frokane>

he didnt even say objective my mans

I wasn't referring to him specifically I meant 'mine and yours' as an expression.

And for the record I didn't say anything was objectively good either my mans. But feel free to gloss over that.
The difference is I'm not calling anything objectively good and bad because I know what the word means and since you have no measure and criteria I'm correct in such deliberation that toy are just using it as a catchall.

And I'm not calling anything objectively good either, so maybe you don't know what it means after all.

@Fabricant451

I was mentioning a series, if we are talking about games with black protagonists and I say I'd rather play GTA you'd be a special kind of moron to think I'm talking about GTA 1. So on the subject of tactical RPGs if I mention Valkirie Profile then I'm probably taking about the game in the series that's a tactical RPG. High level detective work I know, but you'll get your head around it.

Famitsu also gave Nintendogs a 40/40. Clearly other games have a lot to learn from this masterpiece.

I didn't say highest bidder, I said they put too much stock in presentation and legacy. You make the exact same argument when a Rockstar Game gets a 10/10 on the same big websites you are citing.
Because your use of objective is nonsensical and banal.

That works both ways you know, if my objective isn't any good then yours isn't either. And the debate ends there.
<Snipped quote by Dynamo Frokane>

And what factual, objective criteria is that you are measuring by?
