Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Nic looks over his shoulder at Cassi with an eyebrow quirked. “I think I can handle it myself, Ma tomate aguicheuse.” He says with a shake of his head and a smirk. He needs something to release some of the tension he’s feeling right now and manual labor seems like the best choice.

Nero sticks their tongue out at Caden before following behind him closely around the shop. “So, do you have a favorite part of space?” They ask with a curious gaze. “I’ve always thought black holes to be incredibly fascinating.”

Kiki’s lips twitch as she tries to suppress her laughter, choosing to shake her head instead. As they ride towards the ‘screaming rock’, she finds herself relaxed. Even though it’s been awhile since she last rode on the bike, she can tell she’s getting better about her fear of the death bike because when Avery starts driving one-handed, she didn’t freak out.
“I forgot how gorgeous this place is.” Kiki says before taking her gear off and finding a spot to plop down.
Location: Rowan’s House - Denver, CO Currently: Fit
Willow’s smile at these words is bright - she doesn’t mind if she has to go through some extra steps for Rowan. She nods when he looks at her, knowing that what he’s suggesting makes sense, especially with what she’s been through. She nuzzles herself into his chest again the smile not leaving her face. “Works for me.” She mumbles, letting her eyes fall close as she still smiles.

A hopeful look takes over Willow’s face, her eyes going wide despite all the negative he mentions, even as his smile falls. “Y-your mate?” Her tail starts wiggling despite her best to contain her excitement. Rowan said if she was his mate! “You want me… as your mate?” Her mind is conveniently ignoring the dangers he’s trying to point out to her as she climbs into his lap to get closer to him, looking for any signs that he doesn’t mean it.

Nic snorts, letting go of Cassi’s bum with a pat to it before he runs a hand down his face. He kisses her cheek quickly before letting her go with a shake of his head. “I think I liked them too much, if I’m being honest.” He says as he bites his lip and rubs his jaw with a chuckle, turning away from Cassi for a moment. He looks back at her and shakes his head again, shaking a finger before actually walking away before he tests the limits of his dad’s hearing.

Nero leans their head back to look up at Caden. “I’ve always been one to break the rules, why stop now?” They say with a smirk. “Besides, how else will I know whether I want a planetarium keychain or a stuffed Uranus?” They make sure to pronounce the planet the best way, a cheeky grin forming on their face.

Kiki rolls her eyes. “Just as long as we find healthy methods of getting the frustration out…” She stands tall and kisses Avery’s cheek. “Also, I love you, but that was absolutely corny.” She starts getting the gear to pull on.

Willow puts the plush wolf aside, deciding that she wants more than just his hand on her arm. She wraps her arms around Rowan and buries her face in his shirt, taking deep breaths in of his scent. “Thank you.” She nearly pulls herself into his lap, but stops herself to peek up at him. “Will I… have to live on the sanctuary?” She asks in a whisper. “Or… Can I stay with you?”

Oh, I forgot about this… Willow tries to keep her expression relaxed, still quite afraid to go back and face the Beowulfs again. She’s determined to see this through, though. She has her sisters to think about and any others that are being treated this way. With a nod, she takes a deep breath in and out. She wants to ask if she can stay with him once he’s bought her, her heart thumping with the thought, but she doesn’t want to impose. What happened during the heat was just what anyone would do - Rowan said so himself.
“How long do you think I’ll have to be there?” She asks instead, looking down at the plush in her arms. Would the clothes he bought for her go to waste? Or maybe he’ll leave those for his sister to use. She’ll be sad to see them go, though.

Nic starts unloading the trolley into the apartment before returning it to the parking garage. When he comes back up, not much has changed - his dad still plays with Wayland, but he’s able to catch Cassi walking by… And ignoring him? Well, maybe not ignoring but she only smiled at him and that makes him frown. He starts to follow her as she walks into the kitchen, planning on pulling her close for a kiss, maybe pat her bum again when she bends over.
His pants almost start to feel tight before he readjusts and distracts himself by looking anywhere else. It doesn’t work and his eyes keep finding their way back to her ass and the very visible panties she wears underneath her skirt. He runs his hands through his hair as he rubs the back of his neck, watching Cassi as she straightens and shoots him a challenging smile.
He shakes his head at her with an expression that easily reads as ‘challenge accepted’ before he closes the space between them. He pulls her close with one arm wrapped around her waist while his other hand grabs a fistful of cheek. “You should be careful bending over while wearing a skirt.” He whispers in her ear.

“New goal; convince the humans to find another planet and fund that venture so we can have more privacy.” Nero says with an impish smile before their expression takes on a more serious tone. “You might want to ask your kin if any have faced an archangel, just n case.” They know they don’t have to spell it out for Caden to understand that they’re worried how their dragon would fare against Mundus or Lucifer’s other child. “Ooh look! A gift shop!” They pull Caden away from the rocket and towards the shop.

Kiki smiles sadly, feeling a little guilty for how much she had done to make it seem as though she was angry with him. She’s about to respond when she hears laughter as the diner door opens and some patrons leave. Even though she starts to blush, worried at how they might perceive the PDA her and Avery have right now, she doesn’t pull away from him.
“Let’s get the your screaming rock so we can talk a little more privately,” She whispers, trying to catch his gaze. “Also, I want you to know that there’s nothing you can do to make me hate you.” She uses her other hand to flick his nose. “Maybe furious or crazy, but not hatred.”

In the days following her heat, Willow had spent most of it trying to make it up to Rowan for all the trouble she’d caused. To no one’s surprise, she didn’t actually have anything to make up to him, but her nerves wouldn’t let her not try. She did manage to get the plush wolf clean though, having worked on it diligently until it was almost as good as new. She carried it with her to the couch to show Rowan and held it in her arms as she faces Rowan.
“I got it clean! Hopefully your sister will be okay with me borrowing it.” Willow brushes her hand along the fluffy exterior to make sure she didn’t miss anything. Now that she thinks about it, she feels like she’s forgotten to handle something important, but try as she might, she can’t remember. “What’s up?” She asks Rowan with a small tilt of her head.

Nic makes quick work of bringing everything else up from the SUV, not wanting to leave it for later and then be too exhausted to do it. Some of his neighbors pass by and Nic greets them warmly, introducing himself if they are new faces before he makes his way back to the apartment. When he steps inside, he’s greeted with the adorable image of his father playing with Wayland using one of the toys they’ve gotten. His lips quirk up in an amused smile before he shifts his gaze to try and find Cassi.

Nero taps their chin, letting some other visitors pass by before they ask, “We know you’re stronger than demons, but what about angels? Has a dragon encountered a battle with one before?” They tilt their head, peering up through their lashes at Caden.
“Don’t worry, I have no plans to hire an assassin for you… yet.” They wink with a smirk.

She moves one of her hands to cup his cheek, kissing him softly for a moment before pulling back. “You really thought you lost me, didn’t you?” She whispers, tracing the bags under his eyes with her thumb. “I’m still here; I’m not going anywhere.”
