Rubbing his chin, Nic nods as his attention is distracted for a moment by Cassi’s hips swaying. As he catches up to her in the elevator, he gives her bum a light smack. “That’ll work then - I’d rather just cause some irritation instead of recklessly hurting someone.” He pulls out his phone, opening it to find out where he might find some silver supplements.

“Besides, it might make me even more of a target if I’m suddenly hurting someone supernatural.” They’re alone in the elevator as it goes up to his floor.

Nero hums as Caden touches their leg. Ever since that day they had teleported into his pool and then shucked their pants off, he’d been obsessed with their legs and the imp was definitely okay with that. “Oooo! Orange cake?” Nero says, eyes wide with eager delight at the thought. They of course want to just get one of everything, but Caden did say that was for special occasions, not every outing. “That, I want that.” They declare.

Kiki’s ears turn bright pink when Avery calls her his little fox. Damn him. She thinks as she watches him smirk at her. She grabs the other half of the strawberry she had been eating before and polishes it off before she climbs onto the beck. The cracking of his bones alarms Kiki at first, but then she realizes how hard the past four days must have been for him.

“Well, I’m spoiling you right now, so it’s whatever you want.” She reminds him, kissing his head before she straddles Avery and puts some of the oil on his back. She uses her fingers to try and find knots before switching to her knuckles to massage them out.

Xavier nods as he follows a couple steps behind - gym clothes it is. “They should be free of that.” He assures Killian while he stares at his back. A funny thought occurs to him, making him chuckle as he realizes he already misses seeing the bear’s tail wiggling to and fro. He feels his phone vibrate in his pocket, suspiciously after Killian’s put his away.

“You have nothing to apologize for. I’m the one who triggered you unknowingly… but, I am glad I got to know you a little better.”

Aethel turns and flashes a bright smile at Rowan as he approaches. “More gifts?” He asks, raising an eyebrow and tilting his head. “The cats are available tonight and a couple of the foxes that aren’t garnering attention.” He tell him, beckoning the Omegas he’s referring to.

Xavier watches Killian closely, his eyes following his movements as he buttons his jacket before doing the same for Xavier. A small smiles curls the Alpha’s lips from the small gesture. “I can do that,” He readily agrees, not even giving it a second thought. “I, uh… I have some gym clothes I haven’t had laundered yet… Would you like those?”

He rubs the back of his neck, embarrassed about the fact that he has unwashed clothing from something so sweaty like working out. “Or, I can give you what I’m wearing right now at the end of the night, or whenever you and Mister Kimb leave.” The light blush in his cheeks starts to come back.

Xaiver’s cheeks turn pink and he glances away from Killian. “Hmm, perhaps I was being too forward then…” He says as his eyes wander around the courtyard and take in the pleasant solitude of the garden. Then he looks back at the bear in his arms in alarm. “Hold on… a week?” Never before has the eldest son of the Beowulf clan been so invested in someone as specifically as he is with Killian.

“How do you even manage? Is there anything that helps? Have you talked to an Omega doctor about it?” He starts to ramble a bit, concerned with how much Killian has to bear because of one man. He vows to himself right there that if he ever finds the Alpha responsible, he’ll see to it that they suffer.

Happy that Cassi is up for trying the idea out, Nic grins lopsidedly, opening the door to the apartment building to usher her inside. “I can’t wait to start testing,” He says with boyish excitement.

“It won’t actually hurt Avery, right? I’m looking for more of a reaction to touching silver as a kind of radar.” The two head into the elevator.

Kiki snorts, shaking her head at him. “Do you even know how attractive you are to me? I can’t imagine waiting that long to…” She trails off, taking a deep breath as she grabs the bottle of oil and turns to walk to the bed. Even with pink ears, she still sways her hips in exaggeration for Avery.

“Come along, little pup.” She calls over her shoulder. “Or I really will start without you.” Wherever this faux confidence comes from, she intends to use it to the best of her ability.

Xavier smiles when Killian finally embraces him, his own arms securely wrapping around the bear. He’d already taken off the scent patch. When Killian seems to relax a little, he begins rubbing his hands up and down his back before starting to scent him. He hums some tune he can’t place as he slowly lets the molasses scent seep into Killian’s clothes.

“Are you sure you don’t want to just find somewhere quiet to lay low at until the gala is over?” He asks softly before resting his chin on Killian’s head gently. “I could even…” He pauses, unsure if he should say it before he continues anyway. “I can help you with your heat… if you’d like.”

It’s debated on whether or not it actually worked, but some people still use it medicinally.” Nic tells Cassi as they near the entrance to his apartment. “If I take silver supplements, would that make me like, poisonous to some supernatural creatures? Like those South American frogs?”

Nero turns their head to look at Caden, their mouth full of so much food that their cheeks are puffy. “Mmf clomthes?” They ask, but it’s hard to discern any actual words from what they’ve said. Quickly, they chew and swallow their food.

“I can’t even remember what we ordered, if I’m honest.” Nero says sheepishly. “Are we wearing any of them for the ceremony?”

Kiki takes a bite of the strawberry in her mouth, setting the other half of it down on the plate before she stands and moves over to Avery, bending so she can look up at his face as his eyes stay downcast. “You’re an idiot.” She says matter-of-factly, pursing her lips in a small pout while she invades his line of sight.

“Here I am, throwing myself at you, and you won’t even look at me.” She sighs and straightens, meaning to go back to the bed and finish the rest of that strawberry. “Get on the bed - might as well make some use of it.” She knows she’s being a little bit of a brat, but she doesn’t seem to care.

Xavier smiles, amusement clear on his face as he peels his patch off once again and steps closer to Killian. He opens his arms, beckoning for the bear to come over and embrace him. Truth be told, he wants to ask if he can help Killian through his heat, but doesn’t know if he can even make that offer. He’s sure it will come off more creepy than anything else.

“I’ll just do enough to cover your scent, then I can go grab a new patch while you return to the party.” He says gently. It’s been awhile since he last did this for someone - his father and Aethel normally scented the ‘stock’ since he’s always refused to have anything to do with the family business. He was the next in line by name only, making appearances at these event to keep face.

Silver in the blood pressure cuff?”

Nero lets out a soft giggle, reading Caden’s thoughts like an open book. It brings them great joy to know that they both like being close together and find comfort in each other. They wiggle a little so they can start trying some of the items on the plate and hum in delight at the rich flavor the supply. “You’re right, much more flavorful.” They tell Caden with a big smile and wide eyes.

Kiki smiles in satisfaction when Avery stares, raising an eyebrow in hopes that he’d take the hint. She doesn’t expect for him to practically run away into the bathroom. She puts her face in her hand with a sigh. “What an idiot.” She mutters to herself before picking up another strawberry to eat.

She’s sitting on the edge of the bed, the strawberries on her left as she kicks her legs and eats. The confection isn’t bringing her as much joy though - it seems someone has soured her mood. When the bathroom door opens, she turns towards it, a chocolate covered strawberry halfway in her mouth. She tilts her head in a silent question at Avery, raising her eyebrow.
