D: oh geebus. Well.. that would mean that Xaria has quite a bit of Exp and LV. (she was in competitions for her Muay Thai, essentially beating other people into submission for sport). Not to mention the amount of bugs she's squashed, and that one time she hit a squirrel with her car.

How exactly would this translate to LV and EXP for her?

__________

Meanwhile Eli is just grasping bugs in his hands and letting them go outside. (he's at level zero, the poor little scrub)

Xanthia nodded. "Well.. i can't say i've ever raised one.. but i did see a couple. There was a farm next to where i used to live in Unova. And they imported Gogoat and Skidoo from Kalos i guess. Used to use them to sell milk to people." She scratched the back of her head. "Generally Skiddo are a bit more docile. But i won't know what her personality is until i let her walk around with me for a while."

Xanthia started leading them all towards the Pokemon Center, nodding as he said something about buying a backpack. "They do come in handy." she adjusted her backpack on her back. "I'm actually surprised you aren't carrying one. My mother made sure that i was fully stocked.. because trainers can't always make it to a Pokemon Center every night." She explained. Then she raised an eyebrow as Edward said something about making it to the gym before sundown. "Well.. i was plotting on finding the gym tomorrow morning. I'll be spending the night at the Pokemon Center, to save some money for buying healing potions." Her mother had informed her each Pokemon Center would allow trainers to spend the night for free. They had some space on the third floor set aside for weary trainers, and all they asked for in return were donations. It wasn't fancy or as nice as a hotel, but it had the basic amenities, a bathroom with a shower, a small cafeteria to buy food. This early in their travels, she doubted it would be very crowded.. especially in a town as quiet as this one. She nodded. "I'll be up training tonight.. just enough to get used to Terra's personality and battle style." she shrugged. "I feel like going into battle without getting to know your pokemon first can be.. a bit dangerous." She sighed. "I'm pretty excited for my gym battle as well.. i just.. i don't feel ready. My mom said never challenge a gym before you feel ready. And..I'm.. just not confident in Beep or Terra to sweep an entire gym of trainers on their own."

She heaved a heavy sigh, "Well, i guess no point in dwelling on that now. You know what? I think i will head off with you first. Go find that gym. Get in a few battles before nightfall, and then get up tomorrow and challenge the gym as soon as it opens." There was a spark in her eyes. "That reminds me. You are headed off to the gym circuit too, right?" She grinned widely. "So let's make a friendly competition of it, shall we? In each town, whoever manages to beat the gym first has to buy the other a drink."
Xaria and Eli

Letting out a string of rather colorful swear words, Xaria flinched away from the white thing as it fell from the ceiling and onto the floor. She'd instantly dropped her wetsuit and was pointing her knife at the creature.

Eli had dropped his multi tool when the creature spoke, his eyes widened as he could have sworn that.. whatever it was vibrating on the floor said 'hoi.' He fumbled with the multitool, picking it gingerly off the ground. "Don't go near that thing!"Eli protested.

"Don't be such a sissy!" Xaria retorted, approaching the creature and staring, her eyes squinting as she made a disgusted face. It was a mass of white goo with a face which was rapidly vibrating in her direction. She kept the blade poised in case the thing decided to attack.

“hhhhoi.” it repeated.

Acting quickly now, Xaria reached into her ziploc bag and pulled out her flashlight. she prodded the creature in the side with her flashlight smoothly, and the creature's ooze-like flesh took hold of her flashlight, rapidly sucking the light into its body.

Cursing loudly, Xaria jabbed the creature with her knife, yanking her flashlight from its grip only to hear it give a slightly strangled "hoi..." its face was twisted into a pained frown and it seemed to be genuinely hurting. Xaria had never felt so awful in her life... as if she'd just kicked a puppy or something. And then, to make matters worse, the creature turned to ashes, scattering across the floor.

Eli crept up behind Xaria, using his superior height to get a better look at the thing. He was both shocked and surprised when the thing started to try and eat Xaria's flashlight... and her quick reflexes jabbed it right in the gooey body. He stared at the creature in fascination as it dissolved into ashes. "Did... did you just kill it?" he asked warily.

Xaria stared at the place where the creature had been moments before and then rapidly allowed her knife to clatter to the ground."I.. I don't know." She admitted, feeling a twinge of guilt surging through her body. She hadn't meant to kill the thing.. she'd just been startled and reacted.. and then.. it was.. ashes. "I.. it turned to ashes." she commented. Then she closed her eyes as a strange sensation echoed across her body. Power, spreading from her toes to her fingertips like pins and needles. She'd never felt this before.. and it.. felt good.

"What did you do that for?" Eli protested. "It had a face! It could have been harmless!"

Xaria just ran her fingers through her hair quickly as Eli assaulted her with an accusatory glance. She recoiled from his gaze, shaking her head. "I didn't mean to!" She snapped sharply. "It grabbed my flashlight... and i just.. kind of panicked! I'm not perfect, alright?" she bent to pick up her equipment. "If i could take it back i would, but what's done is done."

Eli just gave Xaria a disapproving stare, like a mother might give their child after they'd done something wrong. "Well.. whatever that was, i sure hope it didn't have friends.. because if it did, they might hunt you down."

Xaria hadn't even thought of that. She adjusted her equipment, brushing the last of the dust off of her hands. She still felt guilty.. but at the same time.. the power she'd felt after its death... she didn't know what to think anymore. "I... lets get out of here." She stated, moving to lead them from the room.

Surveying her warily, Eli followed slowly behind the younger woman. He didn't like her response at all.. but.. she was right.. they couldn't change anything now.

Amarante and Shadow

Amarante had finally reached the city, Shadow on her heels, his tongue hanging out of his mouth as he panted excitedly. "First things first... paying back that shopkeeper you stole bread from."

Shadow just gave her a broad smile, letting out a happy bark.

Shaking her head, Amarante smiled, ruffling a hand through his cold fur. "come one then." She stated

The two headed towards the shop, but Amarante stopped when she saw a somewhat familiar face in the streets. Eyeclopsei... one of the two candidates running for mayor of this underground city. Amarante had never been one for politics, especially considering her kind had their own hierarchy system and sort of ignored the rest of the underground. Still.. since she had left her kind, she had to make an effort and at least vote for someone. She might as well start by talking to each candidate.. right? If she didn't like either of them, she could always just forget to vote.

Wandering over to Eyeclopsei, Amarante stared down at her fellow monster, her eyes focusing on Eyeclopsei's giant eye. "Greetings." She gave the monster a friendly wave of her tail and ears to make sure the monster knew she wasn't going to attack. Shadow tilted its head, tongue lolling out of his mouth as he heard himself get introduced. He let out several strangled barking sounds as he wiggled his butt excitedly at the newcomer. The monster smelled familiar, like dusty books and chocolate chip cookies. Which he liked. He didn't move from Amarante's side however, instead waiting for a command as he used his back foot to scratch behind his ear. Ghost fleas were the worst kind of fleas.. Because nothing Shadow or Amarante could do would keep them from living on him.

"I wished to speak with you on the matter of your.. leadership of this place." Amarante stated calmly.

Shrubmarine wanted so badly to just abandon his post. No one had shown up in an hour, and he could really use a drink.. maybe a snack or two. Maybe no one would notice if he snuck off for just a little bit.

Looking left and right to make sure no one was coming, Shrubmarine abandoned his tentacled submarine and headed into the nearest town for some refreshments. Just for a little bit. No one would ever notice he was gone.
Xanthia turned to stare at Edward, holding up the pokeball. "I caught a Skiddo. Should be nice to add her to my team. Another pokemon who doesn't give me attitude and all." she called back in his direction.

As if he knew Xanthia was talking about him, Anubis swooped down, cuddling her egg, cackling as he pointed a finger in her direction.

"Ha ha.. keep laughing you jerk!" She waved a fist angrily.

Anubis just stuck out his tongue before drifting back into the air, keeping on eye on Xanthia and the other on Edward.

After watching her Pokemon for a while, Xanthia drifted slowly over to Edward."I'm definitely going to need a pokemon center. Mainly because Anubis can't control himself and put Beep.. my Magnemite.. to sleep." She sighed. "When i left i forgot to grab my bag of healing potions and berries." she shrugged. "I'm thinking that we could go for a little break at the center, restore our new captures and then come back out here to train them. Unless you wanted to stay here longer to try and catch another pokemon?" Her eyes drifted to a Butterfree which floated aimlessly past the two as if it had no care in the world.
@Leaves

oh its okay, life always comes first. Nice to have you back :D
@BytheSpleen @Light Lord @Ninian (ah. Its very hard to see the difference between italics and regular words for me for some reason. my bad, i will try not to make that mistake again. i went back and edited Sirina's response.)

Sirina

Spud just bobbed his head <He sounds strong. I would love to see which one of us could take more hits.>

Tamaki slumped slightly. <I don't wanna wait.> he whined. <That seems boooorrriiinngg.>

Spud reached out his hand and pat Tamaki on the head. <You can ride on my head if you want until we get there.>

<NO. We can have a foot race instead.> he piped.

Spud gave a dopey laugh, nodding his head slowly. <Count me out. I'm kind of clumsy on land. Probably would trip and splat right on my face. Nana might want to race you though.>

Tamaki flinched. <NOOOO!> He cried dramatically. <She always wins because she's super duper extra fast! I even used Extremespeed and she WON ANYWAYS.> he slumped dramatically onto the ground.

Spud laughed again, but was distracted at the sound of the newcomer. <I'm guessing you or your trainer know her from something?> he asked, turning back to Cyan.

Nana was only half listening to Cyan at first, her eyes and body focused on the newcomer. Her ears flicked and she turned her head for just a moment. <I will have to remember that.> she commented. Then she recoiled slightly as she watched the new girl rubbing behind Shinon's ears and the pokemon just melting into her hands. Sirina's hands could be gentle and kind, and felt good, but she had never had this much of an overreaction. Even when Sirina managed to reach her itchiest spots. Nana took a mental note of this fact with a flick of her tail. Nana focused her eyes on the new girl again, practically glaring daggers into her, letting out a low growl as she stepped one step too close to Sirina for her liking.

Sirina adjusted her wheelchair, twirling around to face the newcomer who Nana had been staring at intensely for a couple of minutes. To her surprise, the person Shinon had retrieved was an orange haired girl. The way Shinon was leaning into her hands, you would have thought that she had fingers made of gold. A sweet and gentle smile danced across Sirina's face. "Hi. I'm Sirina. Sorry about Nana.. the Arcanine, she's really protective. I told Pent and Devon this earlier, but she will warm up to you in time." She felt a strange jolt in the pit of her stomach as she watched the exchange between Pent and the girl. How the girl tore the amulet coin from him rudely without even saying thank you. This was remarkably harsh for a girl who was clearly younger than herself. What exactly had happened to her to make her this way? "Nana. Relax." The order came and Nana sat on her haunches, still watching the newcomer suspiciously.

And before she knew it, Aenir was before her. The creature hovered beside her a broad smile stretching across her tiny face. Its body was glistening white like snow, shimmering like diamonds as the sun glinted off the surface. A deep red band tied around its waist with the most delicate, tiny fingers stretching from graceful arms. She smiled as she aimed her gaze at Aenir. "Would.. would you mind if i touched you? I.. i've never met a ghost type so friendly before. And i am not sure if i ever will. I have always wondered what a ghost would feel like."

Arcanine's ears flicked as Cyan spoke about Pent. She tore her eyes from the newcomer girl, and back to Cyan. <Getting hit by vehicles? How old was he when you became his partner? Perhaps he was cursed by a Ninetails before you ever met him?> she gazed in his direction, tail flicking now. <He should really have a service pokemon as well, to help him in case of emergency. A service pokemon such as myself is trained to keep a.. less mobile human out of harms way. Keeping them from getting hit by cars.. is a number one priority.> She sighed. <His bad luck had better not rub off on Sirina.> a teasing glint appeared in her eyes, a spark of character beneath her rough outer exterior.
Thanks hehehe XD (unless she is too perf XD)

I love this character so much XD. and i haven't even RPed with her yet XD
@SleepingSilence

actually in my initial inventory i put it in and crossed it out XD though i edited it so many times i kind of forgot to put in in there XD

oh well XD

Ps, your trainer sounds like he would get along with Willow a bit. She actually might get along with him the best, because she kind of adapted certain pokemon-like behaviors from living in the woods on her own for so long XD (She literally will scratch her face with her foot if she's sitting down and in a comfortable position XD) Though he'd better not smile around her because she will think he's threatening her and probably tackle him XD

Nia

Nia pulled back on Frost's reigns, stopping the white stallion at the stables next to Solitude. She let a few gold coins slip from her fingers to pay the man at the stables for keeping her horse, in exchange for a delicate sweep of her paw which emptied the gold he had in his pocket. She was refreshingly late to the meeting at Castle Dour. Honestly, this was partly because she wasn't the biggest fan of the Imperials, or the Empire for that matter. Mainly because of their ties with the Thalmor, who had tried to kill Qa'va more times than she could count. It might have had something to do with when she'd broken into a Thalmor stronghold and stolen a few Dossiers which were clearly not meant to be seen by her eyes. Mainly they were reports about the Thalmor's plans in Skyrim, and held some very.. enlightening facts about the Thalmor secretly helping the Stormcloaks with the civil war in order to assure the Empire would remain firmly under their thumb. She'd been planning to drop a copy of the plans on Ulfric's doorstep just to watch his reaction. That had been before the Dragonborn was murdered.

She missed the Nord's company more than she cared to admit. Far from her usual marks, the stories he told her about dragons and delving into ancient ruins had actually been very interesting. The most fascinating conversation they had when they were together was the one about dragon tongue.. when he'd attempted to teach her to speak the language. Of course.. it had been a complete failure.. but under his guidance she was able to understand select words in the tongue. And the sex.. well.. there was something exciting about bedding a man who could literally shout her to pieces if he felt like it.

It was pointless dwell on things of the past. What was done was done. He was gone.. and so was a major source of revenue for the guild. So.. she'd decided to do something about it. For starters.. getting revenge on the man who'd decided to plunge a dagger into the throat of the Dragonborn. He had been her toy, and the fact he had died before she was finished playing with him was a never ending source of irritation for Nia. Getting revenge on Starkad was the first step to healing her guild. This was the first time she'd actively wanted to kill someone so badly.. and for a moment she wondered if this is how Kriisa felt every day of her life.

She pushed the doors to the chamber open, and was immediately stopped by three guards. "We have no need of your kind here." the guard in the center snarled.

Nia's tail twitched in irritation and she exposed her invitation letter. She placed it in the Guard's hand and the man froze, his eyes scanning the page. His face whitened significantly. A handwritten letter from Kriisa, with her name delicately etched delicately in the top. It alluded to the fact that Qa'va had been in a relationship with the Dragonborn at the time of his untimely demise. It also invited her to come to this meeting, asking if she might like to join them in revenge against Dovahsken.

"I heard the Dragonborn took a lover.. but i did not think his lover was...."

Nia smirked, a purr coming from the back of her throat. "A Khajiit? Yes. Most reactions to this discovery are.. similar." She snatched the letter back from his hands, smoothing it delicately in her white-furred paws. Without another word to the guards, she sauntered past them and into the meeting room.

"Qa'va?" General Tullius breathed as the almost ghostly white Khajiit approached the table. The two had met on several occasions. The first time had been at a peace meeting between the Stormcloaks and Imperials, where the Dragonborn had insisted she join the peace talks and introduced her as his girlfriend. She could still recall the shocked expressions spreading across the table, most notably were the horrified expressions coming from both Ulfric, Tullius, and the Thalmor representative. It had been entertaining to say the least, and sometimes Nia thought back to that very moment to make herself smile. After the peace talk, Nia had used the other meetings to convince Tullius her relationship with the Dragonborn was a pure one. "I thought you would be in mourning. What are you doing here?"

Nia shot Tullius a glance. "I was in mourning. But then i decided sitting around on my ass doing nothing was no way to honor his memory. So.. when i found this letter on the steps of Breezehome.. i chose to come here. I want revenge. Starkad took nim. And Starkad will pay for what he has done." There was a determined gleam in her eyes as she spoke, laying the paper on the table.

"You know this Dark Brotherhood Skum?" General Tullius asked, lip curling in disgust.

Nia shot him a glare. "Kriisa is a friend and ally of myself and the Dragonborn, she is reliable because she is from the Dark Brotherhood. Her trade is one of killing. She can prove immensely useful to us." She moved towards Kriisa, a smile spread across her face. "It's good to see you again." She turned to survey the others behind Kriisa. It was almost like the punchline of a bad joke, two Imperials, a Redguard, and a Dark Elf. And then.. her. The Khajiit.

Tullius glanced between Kriisa and Nia, trying to put two together in his mind. "I don't trust her."

Nia's ears flicked in annoyance and her tail lashed back and forth. "Well.. its a good thing she's not going to be working with you then, isn't it." Then there was flash of sharp white teeth as she spoke in a hiss. "You forget, Kriisa was with him on many of his journeys. She was a close ally and friend. She was with him when he died.. a luxury i did not have, as i was elsewhere."

Most of the bitterness in her voice was actually disappointment caused by the fact her prey had been taken from her before she'd finished playing with it. Because seducing the Dragonborn had been the score of the century. Using his influence, she'd managed to spring a few of her guild members from jail. She'd been planning to use his connections with the Jarls to start putting her guild on the map again. And now all of that was ruined.

"What exactly did she have planned?"

"She claims to know of a group of Dovasken's mages are headed to-."

Nia instantly scraped her claws against the table rather loudly, her eyes burning like fire. As the room fell silent and all eyes turned to her, she hissed. "Let's refer to him as Starkad, shall we? As far as i am concerned, he does not deserve to be called anything in the dragon tongue."

After the room was silent for a moment, Tullius tried again. "She.. said she knows a group of Dov- Starkad's mages.. headed to Dragon Bridge. Claims there is no dragon in the area."

Nia glanced at Kriisa, her ears flicking. "I think it is worthy of our attention. Every rebellion starts off small. And taking the five of us into battle.. we will be able to get in and out without anyone even noticing. It's better than no plan at all."
@Fox of Spades here we are, a lovely character for everyone to enjoy XD
