Starting Artifact(s): Air: a talon strung and tied on a leather cord. Worn as a necklace or bracelet. The talon acts as a directive force for control of air and wind- for instance, if they point the talon ahead of them, they can send a burst of wind forward.
Nature: a bracelet woven out of plant material from a plant-based Manabeast. Used as a focus for controlling plants. They find following the knots with their eyes to be very mediative.

Orphanage Hometown: Diridens

History: Len was left at the orphanage by a distant relative at the age of 8 after an accident killed both of their parents. They don’t know what happened. They don’t really want to know.

Personality: Len is quiet and hardworking, but to anyone who actually cares to talk to them them, they open up a bit more, and are pretty friendly. They’re also awkward and a bit immature.

Advanced Composition Period 6: Zombie Apocalypse

[Matt & Kate]

Matt and Kate walk to the media center. They encounter no zombies on the way there.
“What weapons do you think I should make?” (grr weapons!)
Kate shrugs. “I don’t know.”
“Like... what weapon would I use best? I mean yeah I’m strong, but that doesn’t mean I should be lugging around a sledgehammer just because I can lift it.”
“Yeah, no. That’d get too heavy way too fast, you’d get tired, not a good idea.”
“A simple sword or spear I suppose...” Matt mutters thoughtfully.
“And where exactly are you supposed to find a sword?” She asks in a joking tone, but still serious.
“Maybe in the houses around this suburban area? Some kid mighta bought a sword with his overly much allowance.”
“I suppose, but if you want anything of decent quality you’re probably out of luck. Actually useable swords are really fuckin spendy. My Sensei had a katana from… world war two, I think. Cost her a thousand bucks. Unless a martial arts instructor lives around here somewhere, you probably won’t find anything worthwhile. Besides, any martial arts instructor worth their school wouldn’t let themself be zombified anyway.”
“Haha true. Maybe we should break into a shipping warehouse then. I bet an Amazon warehouse would have literally everything inside, since you can order anything online.”
“You never know, I guess. Still isn’t highly likely, though. Is there even a warehouse near here?”
Matt shrugs. “Not that I know of. Still, I’m probably more likely to find a sword that way than order it online at this point. Blargh I want a sworrrrrrd.
She chuckles under her breath. “Not entirely likely that you’ll get one.”
“Shhh one can hope.”
With that, they arrived at the media center.

Advanced Composition Period 6: Zombie Apocalypse

You sit up with a jolt, realizing from the stiff pain in your back and neck that you had fallen asleep. You immediately jump out of the chair, grabbing your microphone stand and whipping around to look for assailants. Grabbing your water bottle and shaking your head, you uncap it and take a small sip, mentally haranguing yourself for falling asleep in the middle of a warzone when you have friends out there that probably need your help. Yanking your backpack up, you stuff the water bottle inside and put it over your shoulder, grabbing the doorknob and stopping as you realize you really have no idea where anything is.
Frantically you start digging through your backpack, trying to remember if you had a map of any kind, anything that might help you, and after a few minutes you give up and grab your phone and call Matt.

Aderyn, is it really so hard to pay attention?
Aderyn sighed under her breath in frustration, running through the woods, eyes darting from side to side to keep watch for anything that might attack her. In spite of her best intentions she had missed when the others were heading out on the mission, and now she was late. Possibly too late, but she hoped that she would still be able to be of help. Kree, shut your beak for once and help me watch for whatever we're looking for. Including the group we're trying to join. She snapped at him, continuing on. After a while, she slowed, thinking she heard sounds of people, and possibly fighting. She continued on more cautiously.

Aderyn Davies

Name: Aderyn Davies
Appearance: Aderyn is about 5’4, weighing about 110 lbs. She has rusty red hair that when it’s down goes to her shoulders, but that is usually up in a ponytail. Her skin is bronze and she has brown eyes. (I have no remember what Victorian-Era people wore so yeah... But she doesn’t wear dresses, they’re bad for moving around in.)
Bio: In the Davies family, Holders are common.
The ability passed down from generation to generation, most members of Aderyn’s family are Holders. Including, obviously, Aderyn herself. She is somewhat of a special case, however, for her spirit is one that has passed down through the generations, last held by her grandmother, who was said to be as fiery as Kreeshael himself. Aderyn would not know the truth of this, however, as her grandmother died before she was born. When Aderyn was born, Kreeshael nigh immediately took her for his own. And so she grew up with her spirit, and eventually found herself in the employ of The Library, like the rest of her family had.
Branch: Intelligence

Holder: Bishop
Spirit: A phoenix named Kreeshael. He has an 18
ft wingspan. Unlike how some phoenixes are portrayed, he is not made of fire, but instead is a bird that can alter the amount of flames in his feathers. He loves sassing Aderyn but is still cooperative, and his influence makes Aderyn randomly set things on fire sometimes.
Spells:

Sunborn’s Fury: A Spell that can only be used during the day, outside and in direct line of sight of the sun. It is greatly weakened but not stopped by clouds. It channels the sun’s light and concentrates it, taking two posts to do so, then releases a huge blast of fire.
(active)Sun’s Edge: Instead of a blast of fire, it creates a wall that remains for four posts. CD: 8

Wings of the Sun: A Spell causing large, ghostly wings made of flames to come out of her back. Cause fire damage if touched by someone else, and permit her to glide short distances or soften a fall. They are 5 ft long each. Can be used in the manner of the Parachute skill.
(active)Flaming Flurry: The Wings separate from her and fly to attack a designated target. Causes lots of fire damage CD: 5

Fiery Retort: A Spell. To use this spell, she must shout an insult at one or more targets. The insult is amplified and causes sonic damage and fire damage. The amount of damage depends on how much it insults the target. Can be used on multiple targets with the risk of failure if one or more are not insulted. If the attack fails, it backfires on Aderyn instead. Variance is over a range of 20, 20 being most damaging to target and anything below 7 not doing damage. Chance is random, loaded based on target’s reaction. If lower than 7, the remainder(out of 20) backfires upon Aderyn.
(active) Sick Burn: a 20% reduction in risk of failure and a 20% increase in damage. CD: 2

Okay, I'll see if I can get my bearings enough to do that. I can go ahead and post Aderyn over there though, I think.
