Kanako was, for once, not nervous or on edge. She didn't even flinch when the gun went off, merely looked up to see if anyone had died. Rin's transformation barely phased her. Most of the other students were freaking out, or at least reacting in some way, but Kanako was simply sitting in the back of the class, not saying anything, watching Rin carefully. "She can't be trusted, far too dangerous and let's power get to her head quickly," she thought. She stayed perfectly calm, with the same small smile she always had, although this time it had a different effect. It felt darker, and more or less like she was absolutely insane for not even really caring that their Professor had just shot a student.
Her gaze was piercing, as cold as a frozen lake, and calculating, like clockwork. All her jumpiness and constant fear had disappeared. She shifted her gaze to Yusuke and concluded that he'd live. She felt little to no concern or sympathy, not because she hated Yusuke, but because she couldn't care less whether anyone else got injured or not, so long as no one died. He wasn't dead, so why worry? Her reaction was, to say the least, unusual.
Kanako glanced over at Matsuru and Yusuke briefly. She was used to this kind of conflict. Where she was from things like this happened on the daily, often even more than that. It was nice to finally have something normal going on, rather than a peaceful conversation.
She could tell that Matsuru's threat wasn't a joke. He was fully prepared to fight, and Kanako was fully prepared to watch. Maybe it wasn't the most heroic thing, to stand by and watch her classmates infighting and threatening each other, but then again, she wasn't the most heroic person.
Kanako sat near the back of the class. The minute the conflict sprung up she relaxed slightly. Finally being able to focus on her work, now that an argument was going on. She listened to the argument at hand and took out her Voice Notebook, quickly sketching out a strange pattern of foreign characters that no one else could read to be able to help her remember what everyone's voices sounded like.
When she stopped writing and actually focused on the argument she heard what the situation (that she hadn't been paying attention to) was. She didn't mind having a professor only a little older than she was. She'd had worse teachers before.
She put her Voice Notebook back into her bag, slipped on her goggles and watched the screen of the Hawkpad, she saw the internship invitation and wondered how the hell she was going to survive an internship when she could barely survive a classroom.
A nervous wreck who always seems to be on the verge of a panic attack. She's only ever relaxed when there's fighting, or arguing, or conflict of any kind, which is when she really comes into her own, after all, she spent the majority of her life in that kind of environment. Peaceful conversations are completely foreign to her and it's unsettling when anything is calm.
She is a bit two-faced, due to a lot of factors, her past being the most prominent. Usually she’s nervous, jumpy, and ready to attack or fight back at any moment. The other half of the time she’s completely unpredictable, she could be incredibly violent, or incredibly emotional, maybe she’s psychopathic one day, and the next she’ll be her normal panicking self again.
She doesn’t trust a lot of people, and a lot of people don’t trust her, and rightfully so. If she were someone else she wouldn't trust her either.
The parts of her backstory the other students would know about.
It’s no secret that Kanako used to be a Villain. She’s part of the Seiki clan, a four generation dynasty known for their widespread influence in the League of Villains. Her parents were arrested three years ago, along with nearly all of the Villains working for them. Kanako was arrested two years after her parents and the rest of their organization, although her three siblings, Akene, Isana, and Yoru, were not.
She has a scar on the side of her neck from her time as a villain, most people assume it was some kind of training accident.
She spent a year in Juvi then was taken in by a Pro hero. She decided she wanted to become a Pro hero, got an internship with the BlackHawks agency, then got into Eiri two years later. No one really trusts her, because of her past and her family, some of whom have still not been apprehended and, as far as most people know, are still working actively with the League. Her on edge, paranoid, jumpy attitude only serves to reinforce the rumors about her still working with the League.
She's mute, can't talk, so she communicates through her quirk or through sign language.

Notebooks written in a language she created to record what people's voices sound like ie: how low their voice is, how high, what kind of subconscious patterns make their voice distinct, how often their voice cracks. She keeps this information so she can use her quirk more effectively.

Qᴜɪʀᴋ Mind Link - Psychokinesis [Awakened]
Kanako’s quirk allows her to link the minds of one or more people to her mind and each other, making all of them able to hear each other’s thoughts. She can use it to communicate telepathically, track people down, give people headaches, knock people out, and psychologically torture people. When she uses her quirk it will make her eyes and the eyes of whoever she uses her quirk on glow orange gold, closer to white depending how powerful the aspect of her quirk she’s using is, telepathic communication being the dimmest and psychological torture being the brightest.
Her quirk only works on people who she’s heard talking before and works better if she’s memorized the patterns of their voice. She has to consciously choose to turn it on or off, whichever state it’s in will continue until she consciously chooses to change it. So if she links two people’s minds, then gets knocked out in a fight, the link will continue.
The first time she links someone’s mind it will activate their fight or flight response involuntarily. The amount of time it takes to adjust to hearing multiple people’s thoughts fluctuates per person.
She can use it as a form of really weak mind control, i.e, she’s somewhat able to stop a person from moving. To show how it works, just repeatedly think Don’t type, don’t type, and while doing that, without stopping, try to type something. Although this takes a lot of focus to maintain.
She can, as a last resort, link more than fifteen people at once and the mental strain will be enough to put all of them, including her, into a coma that will last until she regains enough consciousness to deactivate her quirk or until someone with some kind of quirk suppressor steps in, at which point all the people in comatose will wake up at the same general time. The limit for the number of people she can link at once without going into a coma immediately is fourteen, she can stand five minutes of that before going into a coma.
She describes her quirk as having two sides, passive and hostile. The passive side of her quirk encompasses telepathic communication and tracking. The hostile side of her quirk is pretty much everything else.
She can be overpowered by someone with a stronger willpower than her, as all of the abilities of her quirk can be used against her if someone figures out how her quirk works.
The range of her quirk is 10 meter in a radius around her. Anyone within that radius, who she knows the voice of, she can use her quirk on.

Coma: Using her quirk to link the minds of more than fifteen people, sending all of them into a collective coma from the mental strain for an indefinite amount of time. She rarely ever uses this, only as a life or death last resort where she has literally no other option.
ɴᴀᴍᴇ Tama, as far as you know
ᴀʟɪᴀꜱ The Blinding Villain - Mirage
ʟɪꜰᴇᴛɪᴍᴇ 2-8-2108 · 15
ꜱᴛᴀɢᴇᴘʟᴀʏ
Tama is a villain in the League. She's virtually untraceable, working from the shadows through manipulation and blackmail, going by over thirty different aliases. She controls at least a third of The League of Villains, directly or indirectly, although most people even in The League don't know it, since she never uses the same name twice unless she's meeting someone in person, which she rarely ever does. If a Villain in the League has any kind of secret, or something Tama could use as blackmail, she no doubt knows it, and knows how to use it. A simple system really, threaten a few people into working for you, have them spy on other people and find enough information on them for Tama to blackmail them into working for her too, cycle repeats.
Most of her field work is done as a mercenary or spy, sometimes being hired by the same groups she runs. When she's working with people in person she always goes by the name Tama or Mirage.
She has a cold and blunt personality and an intimidating demeanor. She doesn't forgive people easily, if at all, and has no reservations from turning against people she's working with if they betray her in any way. She doesn't talk unless something needs to be said, which makes anything she does say have more impact.
She can read people's body language to a point where she can accurately predict when and how people will attack in a fight and know when they're lying. It's virtually impossible to take her off guard since she never blinks, can see a full 360 degrees around her without moving her head, can see through walls, and see if people have hidden weapons on them.
She was raised as a villain first by her family, then trained on her own or with whichever high ranking assassin or mercenary would take on an apprentice for a few years after her parents were arrested, until she was just as skilled, if not more, than her parents were.
Most people, Villains and otherwise, underestimate her due to her age and small size. She uses this to her advantage, taking people off guard by the fact that she is, in fact, one of the best fighters in her dynasty.
In fights she mainly uses homemade chemical gasses that have varying effects, although very few are lethal, as well as a metal rod that can extend into a full staff and lock in that position, and a serrated dagger that has a compartment for poison.

A metal rod about 1 foot long when contracted. It has a mechanism built into it that extends it to reach a full length of about 5 1/2 feet and locks it in that position. The mechanism will stop at nothing until the rod is extended, even having the strength to break through a wall if there's not enough room to extend, or to launch Tama into the air in a fight. This is her main weapon in a fight.
A small serrated dagger with a sheath attached to the side of her bag. It has a compartment to store poison. Tama usually puts some kind of non-lethal sedative in the poison compartment.

Sight – Metamorphosis Repressed Tama can never be blinded so long as her quirk is active. She can see through just about anything, walls, pages of books, darkness, none of it effects her sight whatsoever. She can see in a full 360 degrees around her since her sight isn't linked to her eyes. She can't fully control her quirk though, since it's so mentally overwhelming that she can't figure out how to turn it off.
An unwanted side effect of her quirk is that sleep is very nearly impossible, since she can't turn it off.
Blindfolds and blinding gas also have no effect on her.
Her quirk can be used to spot small movements and shifts in body language, from which she's able to tell a lot about people. She's able to tell who's going to try and attack, how they're going to attack, and what their weak points are. As well as this she's able to tell whether someone's being truthful or not.
