I made an edit to my post, hopefully it gives you a bit more to work with.

Also, should my character overthrow the after some specified event, or should I start just laying the groundwork as soon as possible and see what comes first or best?

BTW: "click here and begin writing" is a leftover of the chatbox-intro from machete-pasting a 900 character post into the 300 character limits.
It actually took me awhile to figure out where it came from.

Realizing the character limit doesn't leave much to work with (character limit hit).
